Nice location in the heart of Sosua The staff are very nice But the hotel need a refreshment very old I like the bar at the entrance nice ambiance all the time Remember this is not a place for family a lot of prostitution everyday every hour Thank you for the wonderful service of the staff at the reception (lobby) Great idea the café and the laptop at the entrance The security system need improvement

I usually stay at New Garden but its cheaper to stay here weekly...... Good vibe..... Decent room with a bar down stairs...... Every morning I get the Dominican plate for 200 pesos.... My only issue with this hotel is..... If you get a room on the side of the street..... You can hear the motorcycle all night going by.....and its 10min walk to the beach and strip.....and at night one of the security dudes are cool but the other one seems to flirt with every domician girl I bring back.......

we actually had one of the condo/apartments not one of the hotel wife and i were there for 28 days no complaints.nice pool and hot tub usually only us in them . friendly and helpful staff.clean hall ways pool areas washrooms lobby restaurant.good food in the restaurant decent prices at the at night ,never felt unsafe even going out late.lots of options to eat if you have no kitchen.if you are not into party hearty there are a couple bars very close that are not rowdy or you could walk 3 minutes to the nightclubs.or sit at the bar in the entrance and watch the world go by.close to everything we would definitely return.

I paid $51/night. Credit cards accepted with surcharge. Gigantic room with powerful A/C, full-size fridge, and generally good WiFi. Excellent restaurant onsite. Lavanderia onsite. Walking distance to everything. Pool and Jacuzzi onsite. Great staff. It can get noisy at times, but I wasn't bothered. Excellent showers with unlimited hot water. Huge beds. The space and amenities of the hotel would cost far more elsewhere. Onto the downside: this hotel caters to a clientele of sex tourists. It's kept discreet, but you will see single male tourists of all races squiring chicas in and out of their rooms. That's pro forma for Sosua. The city is hellish and despairing, so know that before you come...

I have been to Sosua a few times and I find that this place is competivly priced compared to other places. Some say is is off the beaten path but I had no problems walking back and forth during the day or night. The room is spacious and housekeeping does a great job. The only problem I have with the room is the mosquitoes that keep find their way in the room. I tried the hotel, restaurant once and it really did not peak my interest to visit again. Overall, the staff is friendly and good security. I will definitely stay here again!

Stayed here 4 times and each time the renovations have made my stay better each visit to the point now this is a better alternative to New Garden. More options for local food spots and far less people begging you for money where Europa is located. There bar and grill is decent once they add some more options I'll eat there primarily. I don't like the fact they charge an additional $15 to bring in 2 guests at a time, there is no additional service provided or towels yo justify the charge.

I stayed 5 days. I'm glad I stayed here. From the manager to the staff, it was nothing but 100% love. Although I moved around a lot, I ate most of my meals at the hotel. The food was great and the service was like having a plate prepared and served by family. I would encourage anyone that visits The Hotel Europa from abroad not to be obnoxious and try to compare this hotel to a U.S. hotel or motel. But I will personally vouch that they truly care about their guests and their service has exceeded the service I have received in the U.S. establishments. I will patronize the Hotel Europa every time I visit Sosua if not at the very least for a meal. 5 stars people!!!

Pros: The place is decently priced. Based off my online search for hotels, this was one of the cheapest but highly rated hotels. The hotel is located maybe a 4 min. walk from central downtown area where all the action seemed to be. Far enough where you can get some sleep and not have to worry about all the music that's blaring at 2am yet easy to walk to without breaking a sweat (it's pretty warm at night). Rooms are pretty clean and come with a small safe. I assume all come with a fridge and microwave as well. The pics on though seem to portray that all rooms also have a stove but that isn't the case so you may want to call the hotel and ask before you arrive. Thus I was a little bummed out I wasn't able to cook. I only saw 1 mosquito in my room. I did bring some high deet Off spray and sprayed around the window and door cracks daily. I also find one strand of hair on the side of one of the sheets. I was sitting down and there is a possibility it rubbed off of me but I don't know. Sheets were clean though. There is a pool and a Jacuzzi with a little bar in between the two where you can order food or drink. Staff was extremely friendly and polite. They are always wiling to help you out with whatever you're looking for. Be it a motor scooter rental or getting a taxi. Room cleaning comes by daily. One day I left the safe open (no money inside though) and left the suite. I came back and room cleaning had arrived. She pointed to the safe and basically said that it was already opened. She did not go into there and urged me to check inside to make sure everything was fine. I didn't have anything worthwhile in there and just said it was ok but she literally dragged me to check and look so there wouldn't be any issues. I have left other items out too around the room and none of my stuff was ever touched. Finally, the security guy at night is very friendly. Will joke around, laugh and all. Pretty cool guy. You can also tell he means business when it comes to protecting the hotel but you'd never know this from the smile on his face. Definitely not the gruff machine-gun toting battle-weary guy you'd see in the movies. Food was good. I only ate breakfast here unfortunately and I only ate the same thing. Pancakes, bacon, eggs and fruit. All pretty good or great depending on your tastes. I would rather my eggs well done but it's difficult translating that but they did try. I'm not a fan of my bacon having too much fat but to each it's own. Everything was decently priced and filling. Cons: Only one and that is internet service was borderline non-existent within my hotel room. When it did come up, it was slow as molasses. Yes I know you are on vacation but the little huts on the beach gave better service. Maybe they didn't have the bandwidth for all the people living there. I don't know. I was better off getting online from the bar area.

I enjoyed my time here. I stayed for a total of ten nights in May. I will definitely be back again. The location is ideal--about a 5 minute walk from all the action. The bonus is, you don't get all the crazy noise from the bars letting out at 2am. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our time together here. It was like a home away from home. I was able to cook, and store my Presidente in the provided refrigerator. I saved a lot of cash this way. The pool was nice and relaxing and the poolside bar was very convenient. I will say this, I prefer to be on the upper levels. When I first arrived I had a room on the second floor which was nicer and seemed quieter. The second room I had we on the ground level and faced the street. I also liked having a keypad on the doors upstairs as opposed to another key to keep track of at the beach. The staff here is great and very responsive when you request something. I will definitely be stay here again when I return in August.

I would love to say I enjoyed my stay here but unfortunately I cannot. The room had lots of mosquitoes upon arrival and thereafter, the bedding was uncomfortable. Not suited longterm vacation rental. I will recommend a one night stay over for your our comfort after the party.
