The good: The nicest place I have yet to stay. Stunning views, and so many different places to enjoy it from (balconies, terraces, wraparound porch, etc). Excellent communal spaces (stocked large kitchen, the cozy living room, the outdoor dining area with the grill & pizza oven). Each bedroom was very sizeable, including the downstairs with a bathroom & walk-in closet. The beds bedding were incredibly comfortable & we both slept very well. Well-located, there’s a Walmart & grocery stores <10 min drive away, and then we were easily able to get to Phoenix, Sedona, and Flagstaff easily. The less than good. The doors were confusing and I wish they had blinds or similar on them (they were mostly glass which was beautiful in the morning with sun coming through). The shower controls in the master bedroom’s bathroom were also confusing and the knob for the temperature didn’t work. The home was so large that it never reached the temperature we put on the thermostat the whole time we were there. There were differences between what was in the online / email guide vs what was in the on-premise binder (ex. no hot tub guide so it took us quite awhile to try figuring out how it worked before reaching out). The check-in process involving have to call someone for a code is not as smooth as other approaches like mobile unlocking. The garage door requires manually sliding it open & closed as you come & go so we ended up parking outside for ease.
