My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel, with our 2 dogs, on a Sunday night for a little getaway. We were very impressed with everything, and would definitely stay there again. The check in went smooth; they even gave us 2 bags of doggie treats! The lobby was nicely decorated, they had lemon water, coffee and even cookies available fo the guests. We had a room with a fireplace and jetted tub. It was a little dated with the decor, but, it was very clean. We loved the room so much, we didn’t venture out much to see the town of Prescott. The fireplace was cozy and warm during the chilly night. The room was spacious and had a microwave and fridge. The bed was comfortable and we even had a great view. Breakfast is served from 6:30 until 10:30, which is the longest breakfast time I’ve seen. They had eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, muffins, and other breads. All in all, it was a great stay with our dogs!!
My family reserved two rooms at Forest Villas. One was an executive room with a fireplace and a Jacuzzi. The other was a standard room. The one common theme for both rooms was the high level of cleanliness throughout! The beds were very comfy and the sheets were crisp and clean. The area reserved for the morning breakfast was lovely with birds visiting feeders outside the large windows. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again and take a side trip to Jerome!
We stayed for 2 nights while visiting the area. When we checked in to our room, we heard a dog bark next door. We went to the front desk and asked if we could be moved. They were very understanding and accommodating. I know this took some doing, since they were almost booked 100%. We love dogs, and have 2 of or own, but we have stayed at another hotel prior that was pet friendly and was next to a barking dog. The breakfast in the morning is very good, with a lot of choices. So nice to sit and eat in their lovely lobby/ great room. This room had a fireplace and was so inviting, especially since it was chilly outside. People sit and read or play board games in the afternoon. There was hot cider, tea and cookies available. You can purchase a bottle of wine form the front desk; they will cork it and give you glasses. What a great idea! The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Centrally located and better priced than the chain hotels.
My wife and I came up to Prescott for a few days of R&R and stayed at Forest Villas due to the high percentage of positive reviews. As this was our first experience with Forest Villas, we were extremely happy with our choice. The hotel is well maintained and shows minimal wear and tear in both the private and public areas that we had access to. Our room was clean and neat and housekeeping saw to it that it was put back in top condition each day we were there. Although I had a concern that it was on the highway side of the building, there was no discernable traffic noise at night. Each morning there was a complete selection of both hot and cold breakfast items available so we had no problem maintaining our dietary requirements. The hotel staff that we had occasion to interface with during our visit were very friendly and obviously committed to customer service. We would like to thank Michael and Megan on the front desk, Benny in maintenance and Christina in the breakfast room for making our visit most enjoyable. Based on our experience, we will return to Forest Villas whenever we have occasion to be in the Prescott area again. Thank you all for making our stay so enjoyable.
This hotel is such a hidden gem! It’s family owned by the same family since the opening. The room layout we stayed in was so unique and comfortable!! When we checked in they had a personal card signed by the staff in our room congratulating us on our wedding anniversary! What a sweet personal touch! From the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff everyone was super friendly and helpful! Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable! They offer a hot breakfast and the views around us were amazing! The only thing that I can complain about is that we only stayed for one night. Thank you for a great stay, we will be back for sure :).
We returned since a year ago and were again happy with everything about this small boutique hotel. The desk clerk asked how we were and what we were going to be doing and recommended a German restaurant on the Lynx Lake near the hotel, but this trip we did not have time to visit. The beds are extra comfortable, it is quiet, clean, breakfast is good and always coffee ,tea and water ready. The cookies that are baked every day are the best. We will not stay anywhere else in the area. They are working on improvements to the hotel and it will just continue to get better.
We just stayed here overnight but we couldn't have asked for a nicer hotel. Yes, the rooms are a little dated, but the friendly staff, wonderful breakfast and beautiful grounds definitely make up for it. Upon check-in we were given a map of the area as well as great restaurants to try out. They had coffee and cookies in front of the fireplace in the lobby as well as some refreshing citrus water. The beds were very comfortable and the private balcony offered amazing views of the surrounding hills. We will stay here again for sure!
At a lower than expected rate, the hotel offered a deluxe vibe in both the lobby with it's large windows and private group seating areas, and our room, which had all the amenities you would expect in a much pricier venue. Breakfast was terrific, coffee excellent (and I'm a coffee lover). Anytime we're in Prescott, we'll be staying at the Forest Villas. All the staff were friendly and accommodating.
Not gonna lie. The atmosphere was very inviting and the staff were very friendly. Even the gentleman that was there was so kind and offered to take out pictures! Love it and will definitely be back!!!
If you are looking for lodging in Prescott, AZ that is a step above ordinary, opt for a king deluxe room at Forest Villas. This meticulously maintained hotel combines warm efficient customer service with the old world elegance of hotels of the past. The moment you step into the lobby, your eyes will be drawn to the impressive crystal chandeliers and the sweeping grand staircase. In the cool evenings of January, the roaring fire at the end of the lobby creates a welcoming place to gather before retiring to your room. We also appreciated the option to sit on the patio with the fire pit to watch the sunset; perfect end to the day after the exploring the lakes in the area. Including visits to Lynx, Watson and Gold Water lakes is well worth your time if you are an outdoor enthusiast. We particularly enjoyed the hike around Lynx Lake with dinner at the Lynx Lake cafe afterwards. The hotel is conveniently located to the lakes, the museums, downtown, Whiskey Row and dining. Be sure and allow some time to enjoy your room after a busy day exploring. The spacious, sparkling clean, king deluxe room with the gas fireplace and the two person spa tub provides everything you need for a romantic evening with your significant other with glorious panoramic views outside on the balcony. Barry, from the time I called for a reservation, made me feel like a valued friend and gave me all the tips I needed to plan a grand adventure for our 4 day holiday. Jane, Jeff, Barry, Emma and all the staff provide a welcoming atmosphere that makes this hotel more than just a place to sleep for the night by combining a personal homey hospitality with elegant ambience. The tea and coffee bar available 24/7 is a nice touch, especially when Barry adds his home baked chocolate chip cookies to the mix. A hot breakfast is provided from 6:30 to 10:30 each morning. Emma does a great job in the cafe making sure everyone has what they need. We are already making plans for two more trips to bring our friends to enjoy this unique experience. One of the most relaxing enjoyable adventures we have had in our journeys made more so by having such a soft place to land at the end of the day.
