Just wonderful, close to the heart of the historic part of Porto. Lots of restaurants, shopping, a few blocks to the beautiful riverfront, metro, and you can easily walk across the bridge to Gaia for more shopping, restaurants and the cable car. Room was very clean, we enjoyed the balcony and the nice breeze, At night there were street musicians playing saxophone & guitar. Staff was friendly, called taxis when we needed them, and even helped us with our baggage a few blocks away because there was some street construction next to hotel (which we couldn’t hear at all when windows were closed to our balcony) and the taxi couldn’t get as close as usual to hotel. There was an excellent Italian restaurant around the corner called Pizzaria Luzzo - highly recommend this hotel!

Great stay

Had a very nice room overlooking the pedestrian area. Location is walking distance to entire city. Area busy with restaurants and shopping. Great restaurants in the hotel. Staff very friendly.

Loved this hotel and the breakfast!! Would definitely come back here or recommend! The staff is #1, clean, convenient. My only complaint is that taking a shower in the claw bathtub is a nightmare!! I nearly fell over twice and had to grab onto the curtain for support. It's also awkward to shower in it since it is right next to the bed. Good for a couple but not so much if you are travelling with friends you don't want to be naked with. Besides that, great hotel!

This hotel is perfect. Spacious rooms, attentive staff, and above all, a fantastic location. Centrally located which allows one to come in and take quick breaks to beat the heat and freshen up (we traveled in late July and it was pretty hot and sunny). Everything is within walking distance. Balconies have fantastic views. HIGHLY recommend!

The location of the hotel is excellent. Other reviews mention the music in the square but our room was rear facing so could not hear anything. Breakfast was nice with a good range of sweet baked items and fresh fruit which varied. There was a fridge in the room with water each day. The shower was in the bedroom beside the bed with the toilet and sink in a separate en-suite. The shower glass was frosted on one side but was not private.

This has to be one of the best hotels in Porto and great location. I was offered an upgrade through being an Expedia platinum member and it was a corner unit with three balcony doors that opened to get fresh are and watch the live music that is right outside. The music does end by 10pm so nothing to worry about noise. The restaurant down stairs is great and the staff was phenomenal. They also offer port wine and pastries each day.
