This was a holiday with friends. Lovely place. Clean. Only draw back, one pool, very small and roof top. Always crowded. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really lovely. It was easy to get around in this area, plenty of buses passing close by the hotel. Ladies closeby so you can stock up on muscle and water. Lunch was expensive.
Very welcoming, situated slightly out of the center of Porto but with good public travel links. Good facilities and friendly staff. Easy to drive to and just park up if you do not wish to drive through the busy streets. Plenty to see and do in Porto, absolutely loved it, will definitely go back one day.
We stayed there for 4 nights, we had breakfast and lunch which were very good and fresh and at a very good price. The staff was friendly and as we had a medical situation they called the doctor and taxi to help us with picking up medicine and also allowed us to have a late check out. The pool bar is nice, the swimming pool is not so big though There is also a very convenient gym Locationwise it is a little outside the center (10min by car) but it is very easy to pick a taxi. Ideal for families and couples, very comfortable
We recently stayed 4 nights in this hotel - first impressions were that it was not very central but actually if you buy the 2 day pass on the Yellow Bus the bus number 200 stops from right outside the hotel and you can get it for free with your bus ticket. The rooms are adequately sized and the bed was very comfortable with nice bedding - as other travellers have commented, a kettle in the room with tea and coffee making facitilitirs would have been nice. Nice touch having shower gel dispenser in the shower which is a little tricky to get into and operate but is very efficient. Unfortunately whilst we were staying the dining room was being upgraded so the breakfast was served in a conference room but the breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. The staff on the desk were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them and they all spoke very good English. The only downside is the lifts which are very small and you can be waiting a long time for them if you use them at busy times!
The hotel is quite well located to go from there to the avenida do Brasil or to the riverside. The staff was super friendly and helpful The parking is limited on numbers but the staff can help you in that case, just ask them for help The rooms are very big with nice bathrooms and big beds. I slept like a baby so nothing to complain The aircondition was the only thing that was not good as it made a lot of noise when switching between on. However the temps were not that high to rely on it All over a good hotel
Although not sitauted in centre, it only took 7 mins by local bus (bus stop opposite hotel) to reach the old town. The hotel was delightful, very clean, large room, very comfortable huge bed. You couldn't wish for more varied food for breakfast. The optional evening buffet was very good at a low price. Plenty to see near the hotel too.
This hotel is not within walking distance to the city centre, but instead very close to the beautiful beaches between Foz and Matosinhos. The room & buffet are perfect, the staff friendly and taxis to town have very reasonable prices.
Stayed here for a couple of days while on business in Porto. It was fine but a little out of the main part of town and not much interesting in the streets surrounding. We extended our stay in Porto and elected to stay in the centre of town which is much more pleasant. Despite lacking charm, the hotel is perfectly serviceable though, no obvious faults, and staff seemed courteous and helpful. Food at breakfast was good quality though crowded.
My partner and I have just stayed seven days at this hotel, and I must say that we were delighted with the whole experience: The room was pleasant Breakfast was buffet-style, with much to offer for those who just want a continental breakfast or for those who wish to partake of a full cooked breakfast. The reception/breakfast and housekeeping staff were helpful and efficient Whilst at the hotel I celebrated a birthday, and was really touched by the discrete arrival of an orange cake and a candle during breakfast that was brought to the table by the maitre-de. There was no fanfare, just an acknowledgement. Furthermore, on returning to the room, a card had been put on the bed to wish me a happy year ahead. I had made no requests or alerted the hotel to the fact I had a birthday, so this made it very special, as the hotel had gone out of its way to make one feel important. My partner and I have travelled extensively and have never come across this before, so this was a charming and very thoughtful thing to do. Tips: 1. Ask for a room at the front of the hotel as the views on the right-side are not appealing 2. The corridors are dimly lit 3. Take your chance at breakfast, as the advertising in the lifts suggest that the period from 07:30 am to 09:00 am is the quietest. We found this not to be so, as breakfast appeared busy all the time 4. International newspapers would be a bonus 5. As it is a schlep into the centre, take a taxi, as they are so cheap Would highly recommend this hotel
We stopped in this hotel for 4 nights to tour Porto , great hotel ,staff always friendly and helpful , breakfast was as good with a variety of hot and cold choices . A little further from the old town but taxis were easy to call with the automated machine in Reception ,and reasonably priced . Bar prices were very reasonable priced (local beer Large Super Bock 2.20 euros). The only thing that could be better was to have tea and coffee making facilities in our room , although there is a mini bar with soft drinks and alcohol . Overhaul still a nice hotel If there was anything tha
