Our stay at the Edgewater was quiet, peaceful and absolutely beautiful. We had never treated ourselves to a beachfront room, and this was a great place to do it for the first time. Simply beautiful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room had a very comfortable bed from which we could see the waves at the beach. And everything about the room was neat and clean. We will definitely return.

It’s an older property but it’s been fairly well maintained and upgraded over the years. The room was clean. There were plenty of towels. The staff was amazing. The view was amazing access to the beach was amazing and parking was not an issue. Would I stay there again? In a heart beat. We were in room 1 and if I ever stay there again, I'd want the same room.

We had a great weekend staying at The Edgewater. The room was very clean and comfortable with a fun seaside vibe. The location was great right by the beach and a short walk to the center of Old Orchard Beach. The staff were warm and welcoming and I appreciated the free coffee in the lobby in the morning.

We enjoyed the room very much. The other rooms were quiet. The views from the rooftop were beautiful. I strongly disliked the noise on the street both nights. On Saturday night I finally called the front desk after 1:00 am. The person answering was curt with me and told me she had only heard several girls one time. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have a window facing the back of the property. There were two trucks sitting in the back revving their engines and four to five groups of people wafting through loudly yelling at each other and at the trucks for ten minutes at a time . I merely thought she could call the police to drive through. There must be bars very close by.

The hotel room did not have a direct view. The bathtub/shower did not drain, pillows smelled like someone’s sweat, ceiling fan did not work. Everything was shut down in the area!

Beautiful but needs a bit of attention.

Our room, # 12, was a 2-bedroom. Luxurious and spacious! We strolled out past the grassy dunes, walked along the boardwalk and through the sand to the ocean. Lovely. The view from the upper deck was beautiful. Assigned parking was really convenient! There are drawbacks. 1) The baseboard heaters did not work at all over our 5-day stay. 2) There was no lamp or light in the second bedroom. 3) The shower fixture was broken. 4) Blinds in the second bedroom are broken. 5) Several of the electrical sockets didn't work. 6) No USB ports in the room and you have to find a wall socket that works. 7) The biggest problem was noisy, stomping people. Kids screaming and running marathons up and down the upper deck. People stomping on the floors and decks at 5:30AM.

Staff was not prepared for the change to cooler weather. Our heat did not work for the first day. Maintenance staff was not available in the evening to help. but front desk did everything they could. No coffee service in-room but front office had free coffee.

Me and my daughter went we had a ocean front room It was excellent walk on the beach Great time of year to go going back again on mother's Day weekend but highly recommend. The beach is maybe 100 ft from the hotel parking lot. Excellent for walking
