The Palace Hotel is an old building that's got a haunted reputation. The ceiling in our suite (Marie's) seemed like they were 20 feet high. Overall cool vibe, and Port Townsend is full of charm. We'll be back!
Very cool Victorian hotel in Port Townsend. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect as you can easily walk around the downtown area. There is also a free local bus that makes stops all around the area. We never saw any ghosts but were intrigued by the rich history of the hotel and Port Townsend in general. There is also a great bottle shop in the same building with a fantastic wine selection. If you're hungry, go to the other side of the hotel and have great pizza and soup. We loved visiting this town and we're so glad we stayed at the Palace Hotel.
The room was perfect, big, adorable. The bed was firm and super comfy, the pillows were fluffy and plentiful. The room was immaculate and the hotel is gorgeous. Jan Marie was an absolute delight and we thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. We will definitely stay here again.
The hotel is an a great location and staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi was spotty but I was advised that they were looking into it. Something to consider if you're a remote worker or relay on wifi.
Charming downtown hotel with friendly staff and convenient location, parking, wifi, etc. Quite unique with delightful little touches throughout the place. True, lots of stairs. But not inconvenient. Perfect location in Port Townsend.
This was a great little get away. The hotel was built in 1855 so don’t go expecting the amenities of a 5 star building but the ambiance, The history and the location more than make up for it. My wife child and I all had a great time and would stay here again.
The room smells like pizza due to having a pizzeria downstairs. Cleaning lady gave us a spray which helped a little. Anyways ask for a room on the street side which may help with smell.
Our room reminded me of staying in an original Victorian flat in San Francisco. The hotel is historical with interesting features.
It’s located in a great walkable area but being some ear plugs if you don’t want to wake up to seagulls on an early summer morning!
Clean, lovely room, however, was fooled by the Expedia photos. Expedia shows a representative pic of a freshly remodeled loft and the room is an older Victorian room. Room is beautiful and clean but unexpected compared to Expedia site. They should show pic of a more representative room. Check in woman was wonderful and gave us the best restaurant recommendations.
