Crabbing, scalloping, swimming and golf

The location was ideal for our group. Being so close to the pool and boardwalk to the beach was great. The walk to the beach with gear can be long but doable. This house had wagons, crab nets, and chairs which were helpful. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are very comfortable. We would stay here again.

Great stay

Wonderful time with family. Property was perfect for us. Small detail was that 4 beach chairs were listed as being at property. Actually only had 2 chairs, one of which was broken. Otherwise no surprises other than house was newer than expected which was a plus. Would stay again.

perfect getaway

definitely coming back to this beach getaway! house was super clean and had a great kitchen with all the gadgets needed to cook! great location and ammenities were top notch! we enjoyed every second and can’t wait to return to paradise!

The location is not close to the main developed beach area. You can walk across the dunes to access the beach but it’s not as depicted. They are building a new amenity section next door and once complete it will be great! The other issue was ants! The property manager was great coming out but it’s impossible to keep them out the builder is shoddy that built the house it’s beautiful inside though.

Good house if you get a Golf Cart

We are two adults and two kids, ages 6 and 9 and a dog. The house is cute and well appointed (lots of small appliances like instant pots, griddles, coffee grinders, blenders etc). Bring your own cooking spray and oils, but lots of spices are included. The water filter at the sink is clutch. If you bring any kids or pets, make sure they don't drop any food because there are ants that will find any morsel left behind. We stayed in June 2023 and the beach entrance (not between houses) was FAR. The beach cart we rented made no difference due to the distance and depth of the sand dues. The pool in the pictures is 2 miles away down highway 98 unless you rent a golf cart (4 seater for a week is $500). We had no idea and would have had to drive daily to the beach or pool if we didn't rent one last minute. Property Mgmt made no mention of this or the distance from the beach/pool. It was super disappointing and made for a big last minute expense. It's in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood on the newer side of a master planned community. This home does not exist on maps yet and you cannot Uber Eats anything. This trip was definitely a learning experience as far as neighborhood home rentals go. You'd think for the price, there would be more than 2 rolls of TP or a single box of tissues (nope!) so come prepared with baggies, foil, paper products, and recipe ingredients if you plan to cook. Ultimately, we had a good stay but likely won't stay again.

Beautiful Home & Great Location

This home was fantastic! The host was proactive and made sure we had the entry and pool codes prior to arriving. The space was clean and very well decorated. The garage has outdoor/beach games and several beach chairs. Located only a few minutes from Port Saint Joe or Mexico Beach with easy drives to either location. Parking is a bit tight if you have more than 2-3 vehicles, but we managed. There is currently active construction going on right next door, but that wasn’t an issue for us. We were out and about while they were working Friday, and then they were off for the weekend. Only two small issues I noticed were the title and a camera inside the home. The title stated “partial water view” which is a bit of a stretch. You can kind of see some water in the 10’ gap between the two houses directly across the street. Again, not a major issue for me because I don’t care about view from the house. Also, there is an electronic device mounted to the wall in the kitchen that appeared to have a camera on the front. I don’t like the idea of people being able to watch my family and/or me without us knowing. Overall, still give this place a solid 5-stars.

Nice property, misrepresented location

House was nice, new construction. We were traveling with 2 adults but it would be suitable for 2 young families. Seemed like the kitchen and living spaces were well furnished. My issue was that I specifically booked this property because the dropped pin on VRBO showed a 5 minute walk to a wedding and other festivities at the Mill Mercantile and View on Old 98. Upon receiving the reservation details after booking, it was actually a 30 minute walk down a empty, unlit road. Unlike some of the closer properties we passed up, it didn’t come with a golf cart or bikes either. I wasn’t traveling for the beach, but it didn’t seem like there was easy access point for walking there either. Also, the 2nd half of the sea grove neighborhood was still under development. For the same cost or slightly more, I would just stay in the windmark development in the future.
