Within 10 minutes walking you reach the beach or Harbour form Port Macquarie. This motel has large rooms, all with terrace with Two chairs and a small table from where you can see the sea (a bit far but ok). Nice bathroom with comfortable shower. Big double bed, small kitchen with microwave and fridge. The lady at the reception was also very nice. For us it was very complete.
We were recently passing through Port Macquarie and decided to overnight in the town. We had not booked anywhere so tried out a couple of places. The Port Aloha was great value, well located and available. Check in was easy - the lady behind the counter was friendly and funny and very helpful. We soon had a room which given the price was better than we expected. It was clean and tidy and the bathroom had been updated at some point. All the expected stuff was there - microwave, jug etc. An unexpected bonus was just how comfortable the bed proved to be. Walking into town was easy for dinner. This place is OK.
Stayed overnight with my sister while travelling up the coast. Motel Very clean and tidy. Large room had large baloney 1st floor 1 queen 1 single and light and airy. Clean pool. Could see part of beach and town centre shops. 3 minutes walk to shop and main city parklands. Pubs and shops. Owner very pleasant. Would stay again Cost on booking.com was $90.per room Sunday overnight stay.
Well I don't agree with Claudia C. My wife and I stayed here last night and it was a pleasant experience. The Asian woman that Claudia mentions in her review is actually the Filipino owner Connie who we found to be very funny and a pleasure to meet. She was welcoming and friendly. The hotel prices are extremely reasonable and the room was clean tidy and updated. the beds are comfy and the location is quiet. Needless to say we had a good nights sleep. Good on you Connie I would recommend this motel to anyone.
Comfortable, clean room. We had the family room and were happy with it. Close to everything. We found the staff friendly and helpful. We only stayed for 1 night - a stop over from Gold Coast to Sydney
I wrote plenty of reviews and never ever left one without actually staying in the place. But this one really deserves no customers. Rude, rude, rude!! On my way from Sydney to Port Macquarie, I called the Motel asking if it was possible to check in late, around 10/11pm. An asian woman answered. First she said yes, then she started yelling at me saying I had to know exactly at what time I was gonna be there because she was going to bed and I needed to know. Even tough at this point she was complety off the rails, I said I would have called her back as soon as I knew for sure at what time I would have been there. She didn't say anything and just hung up on me. Ridiculous. I travel a lot and checked in late in many places. Never had a problem; they would always accomodate me in some ways making me find the key in some hidden place or coming out to greet me. You really need to work on your customer service!! When you have a business, hanging up on people is really unacceptable!! I went to Le George Motel instead, where everything was perfect, clean, kind and they didn't mind me checking in late.
My husband and I spent two comfortable nights here. We had a ground floor room with parking in front. Our room was a good size and clean, though a bit worn. The bathroom seemed recently renovated and the shower had excellent water pressure. Beds were comfortable, free wifi was decent, air con unit was older but functional and basic kitchenette adequate. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, the location was quiet and a short walk to the main area of town or the beach.
Before booking, I stopped in to the desk to ask about wifi. The Hotels.com did not have it listed and I was expecting to speak with an overseas friend on WhatsApp. The older gentleman said no problem, so I booked. After check in, my room on the second floor had trouble connecting so I went down to inquire. Alan did all that he could to help me, but the other lady was extremely rude and acted as if I was a nuisance. (Remember that I spoke IN PERSON about WiFi before booking.) Well, it’s not life or death but my call got cut off a number of times and I couldn’t finish it. FYI - if your connection is important, keep this in mind. Otherwise, room was OK, dated, big enough, cheap feeling mediocre mattress, with balcony facing the side of another building 20 feet away. The shower was ok until it momentarily scalds without warning. No lift. There was a fridge, guest laundry, off street parking, small outdoor pool. Close enough to walk to businesses. Overall, unhappy enough with nasty lady to knock this down, also the WiFi issue which continued to be a problem. Oh, and MAYBE they’ll have the correct coins for the laundry. I am usually quite easy to please - check my other reviews.
On our way to the Central Coast we decided to stay at this hotel on the way down and on the way home. The staff was welcoming and the room we stayed in' the same one both times was very quiet and clean and comfortable. Plenty of room with balcony lounge table and chairs microwave crockery and toaster and kettle. The bathroom was very clean and I would recommend it to anyone. They even have a pool. From the hotel you can walk into Port and to Town beach.
Nice Motel, staff were friendly and helpful, our room which was nice but felt more like a cellar than motel because it was below street level. The bathroom was very tiny, if you were a large or tall person you would probably have the shower head in your face and also the sliding glass doors on the shower recess is only a small opening. Cleaning staff are very relaxed with the cleaning of the room, we don't feel that they clean our room the entire time that we stayed there as the hand basin and toilet did not appear clean. Wifi which is supposed to be 24 hours seems to go down at night around 8 pm and comes back on the next morning.
