Great place to stay! Will definitely go back! Cookies were delicious!

Greta water views if you stay on that side of hotel.

Great stay with great views of Canada. I came for a wedding. Only weird part was they wouldn't let me upgrade my room because I booked through Orbitz and I had a handicap room.

Great location and views of the river. Dining experience was excellent, food is always good.

Our stay was great. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We brought our twin grandsons with us for the trip and they enjoyed the pool area. Breakfast buffet was great.

Visited this lovely hotel for just the night on a recent business trip. Staff provided check-in cookies as promised, and after a long flight / drive were very appreciated! Hotel recently went through a nice renovation, with modern touches. It's situated next to a bar/restaurant that we visited that night. Food was ok but plenty of variety on the beer/wine list made up for it. Compared to everything else in town I'd say it's your best option.

We stayed for a local family event, close enough to downtown for a cab. View of the river was nice, did not get to enjoy the dinner, but I hear from several others that the food is very good.

This hotel is newly remodeled and is a great place to get away with a wonderful view of the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron Michigan. The bed was pretty comfortable and the warm cookies were very special! Free wireless access and a cleaner shower would have made the stay perfect, but overall it is a great place to relax

Front-desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Key failed the second time I went to the room. Several staff finally got into the room so I could reclaim my things, then they gave me a free upgrade and two free breakfasts. All the while they were most apologetic and friendly. I quietly watched until they made their decision. View of the St Clair river and ships going by was superb. Room was quiet. Fitness facility is very good and attached restaurant is a wonderful place to eat.

An excellent hotel, right on the St. Clair River. Rooms are top-notch, with views of the river and bridge. The restaurant is excellent -- you eat there because you really want to instead of just for convenience.

Was great place to stay with the St. Clair river so close. And the attached bar with a great selection.

Hotel is in a great location and the waterfront has a great view.

Visited the hotel for a wedding. Extremely clean rooms and very comfortable bed. Very quiet as well. Fun little hotel bar/restaurant with great staff. Food is typical fried bar fare. Only negatives about this hotel is the signage- practically non-existent. GPS brings you in via Thomas Edison Parkway, which is the rear of the hotel. It is very hard to find the access road to get to the front of the hotel. There is a tiny sign with a tree on it- no words- and i had no idea that was the Doubletree symbol. From the rear of the hotel it looks like it could be an apartment building. Would it pain the Hilton Corporation to add words to the back of the building and add a larger sign with the NAME of the hotel so that guests can arrive more easily? Also, the location is on the waterfront in a residential area, so there are no other food options near-by.

good experience, enjoyed entertainment in the lounge in the evening with singer while watching boats crossing in the water.

You can't beat the view; Edison Inn has the best view as a hotel in Port Huron. The first floor where the lounge/bar/gym are is beautiful and wonderfully decorated, but upstairs where rooms are really need to have a major facelift. The room is big and clean, but the bed is TERRIBLE; mattress must be very old since I woke up from back pain and couldn't go back to sleep. Inside the room the decor is very old fashioned. I heard from other reviews that Hilton is taking over, and hopefully Hilton will return the hotel to its former glory. The staff are very friendly though.

VERY DISAPOINTED, room was dirty, weeds outside our door wall, patio chairs had bird droppings on them ,COLD shower, Stained carpet, paid alot of money for what we got, we will never go back to Thomas edison Inn again.

The Thomas Edison Inn had something for everyone. The location is breathtaking at the foot on the Blue Water Bridge. The hotel has a large gym and pool, full restaurant and pub.

Loved being on the water. Room was a bit older, but was told remodeling was in the future. Bathroom is pretty mediocre.

This hotel has been our stopping point for years. The location is great from a travel point of view and for its location on the river. Our meals have been very good over the years. We also had a return reservation for our trip back to Michigan which we had to cancel due to a medical problem for which a physician we saw in NY state indicated we had to get home so the problem could be watched carefully for a few days. Even though the reservation was booked through Orbitz the Inn graciously agreed to a cancellation around noon on the day we were to arrive. Thank you.
