The room was clean and comfortable. The microwave and mini fridge / freezer were quite new and had a cool retro vibe. The paint and decorations looked fresh and clean. Bathroom fixtures also looked updated. Check in was super easy. They just email you an access code for your room so you don't even need to stop by the front desk.

Very cute. The room smelled clean and fresh paint. We didn't realize the heated pool was still open, we would have brought our suits. We would stay again.

Very cute and updated. Clean. Microwave, coffee and fridge cute and helpful. Pool was clean and nice. Lots of furniture around it. Volleyball. Campfire pit. Only negatives were parking was a bit tight confusing. Also, check out was 10:00 A.M. which is a a bit early. Usually 11:00 most other hotels.

We had a great stay at Sun and Sand Resort. The proximity of the beach was great. It was just far enough away from town to be quiet, yet close enough to drive into town to walk around. We would stay here again.

Very nice remodel

This is one of the old timey motels that has been revamped and it's the best one I've been to. The owners have done a nice job with the rooms - at least the one I was in. Very nice design, nice layout, comfortable bed with quality linens - bed and bath - which is not always the case for any line of lodging, great appliances and supplies. A bit over a mile from Port Austin proper. Great place to explore from.

When choosing a pet friendly hotel you usually have trade some comfort. Not here! It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed the pool, lake, and nearby resturaunts and hiking. We will definitely be back!
