Great location!!! Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Hop, skip and jump from Santuario do Senhor Santo Cristo. Love the architectural details and historical look of the hotel.

Absolutely fantastic location - right next to amazing gelato and near incredible restaurants. Hotel was clean, room was sizeable, and staff was very helpful. They booked our taxi to the airport for us! Breakfast was delicious and copious. My one qualm is that the fitness center didn't open until 9 am which is a little late when you want to get out to do things.

The only issue was with the lack of a wake up call on my first day when I had a morning tour planned. Neither of the two I requested went through. However, I am in a Portuguese speaking country and was not equipped to request a wake-up call in that language. The one staff member was not able to understand me, so I noted the next time I asked for a call, she wrote an hour later down- when I noted it, and wrote the correct time, she had another staff member aid me and we were able to communicate effectively and she addressed my concerns and called the tour company to assure I would be picked up. Breakfast was filling and worth it!

I returned to Ponta Delgada for a second time and chose this hotel as a base again as my first stay was so good. There is work being done on the hotel and has clearly been a lot done already it. Disruption was minimised during my stay, but my scores reflect the work. - my room was much brighter than last year and the AC easier to use - the new layout of the rooftop has resulted in the pool appearing much larger, more inviting and much safer. - the gym is in progress and looks like it will be bigger too but some of it was moved downstairs while that work is ongoing. - The quality of service and staff attentiveness is clear to behold. As a slight aside, there are a lot of reviews around the place talking about the external noises through the night. While I didn't have an issue once I nodded off, I did notice it during the day, when it was not an inconvenience, so was wondering if sound proofing of windows and balconies on the park side was also part of the upgrade plan? Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

Property is conveniently located within walking distance to many amenities. We didn't use the rooftop pool, albeit small it looked inviting. Front desk staff amazing, restaurant staff a hit or miss. Only deterrent was the group of homeless hanging out in the park adjacent to the patio. It was cleaned up everyday by municipal staff and they didn't bother anyone, was just an eyesore and they could be loud at night (we had a window overlooking the park) we especially liked the convenience of having secure parking as well for our rental car which wasn't far away and reasonably priced.

I liked everything about the place. We had a very nice room overlooking the park but only being spoiled by the strange characters who talked loud to early morning hours every night. Otherwise I have only a praise for the hotel.
