Azores Butler present you the Casa das Hortênsias. Located on the west coast of the Island, in Mosteiros, one of the most beautiful villages of São Miguel Island.

The house is located in front of the sea, near the fishing port the natural sea pools and a black sand beach. It has an outstanding view to the sunset and a privilege vision to the Mosteiros islet.

Mosteiros is old a fishing village located at 30 km from Ponta Delgada, and just 4 km from to Sete Cidades lake. It is surrounded by mountain and sea and connected by roads to the rest of the Island.

The house has two bedrooms, one with double bed on the main floor and one with two single beds on the upper floor, two bathrooms with showers, one on the main floor and the other on the upper floor.

The kitchenette is simple, comfortable and has everything needed to prepare your in-home meals. The spacious living room offers a dining area to one side and the breathing comfort of an open ceiling. Through the terrace doors at the front of the house, you will enjoy the beauty that the ocean can offer while taking a dining moment, a relaxing sunny day with a book or witnessing some of the most beautiful sunsets that creation has to offer. If a fresh grilled fish is something that fancies your taste buds, a BBQ and dining area is available at the rear terrace of the house. For our guest’s convenience, parking space accessed through the side driveway is available at the rear of the property. Shares laundry facilities are also available with washer.

Casa Hortência is a peaceful property, perfect for those seeking rest and close contact with nature. We kindly ask guests to respect the environment and neighbors by avoiding excessive noise, especially at night. The house includes some steps and outdoor areas, so it is not wheelchair accessible. A minimum stay of 5 nights is required, without exceptions. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning to ensure your comfort year-round, and we provide bed linens, towels, and basic toiletries. The Wi-Fi connection is reliable and suitable for both remote work and leisure. Free private parking is available on-site. Mosteiros is a small, charming village with nearby restaurants and grocery stores, but we recommend guests bring any specific items they may need during their stay.

There are very few rules - but the ones that are there are important:

1) No smoking is allowed inside the house. If you are a smoker, please go to outside to smoke. 

2) Garbage: do not leave garbage in the house. Take it to the near bin.

3) Please turn off the lights whenever you leave the house.

4) Please be respectful of the neighbors. In Portugal, noise must be reduced to a minimum after 11 pm (23:00). Remember, you are on holidays, but the people around you are not. Try to put yourself in their shoes.

5) For Security make sure you ALWAYS lock the house door when you ENTER and LEAVE it.

6) House not suitable for pets.

7) No parties or events are allowed.

8) White Towels – bath use only, please avoid stains. Towels can't be removed from the property (i.e. for beach use). Separate beach towels can be rented for this purpose.
