A beautiful character building with a lot of charm. Choosing a balcony suite at the front is totally worth it. The hotel staff were neither friendly nor rude but just came across as indifferent but not what I’m used to when dealing with hospitality employees. But then mostly everyone I interacted in Pondicherry seemed like that so it must be a regional thing. There was no daily housekeeping which also seemed odd. Despite these things, I would stay here again solely for the charm of the building and convenient location. Just two short blocks to the ocean.
