Overall disappointing. Was given a nice room on ground floor. However, the room was freezing cold and barely warmed up an hour later. We were offered another room on same floor which was also cold. After much complaining a very helpful housekeeper reassured that YES, these ground floor rooms are the coldest but Receptionists are probably not aware. With her intervention and 2 hours later a warmer room was found. A free drink was offered. My conclusion is that IHG try to minimise heating costs of rooms pre-rental and try to 'play you off' by suggesting some guests like cold rooms so its a personal preference. I do prefer rooms to be cooler but certainly not like an igloo - p.s. it was also Valentines Night so not a night that I wanted to keep my coat on all evening. In the end, Receptionists resolved kindly and stresslessly (thank you) although there was a lot of unnecessary hassle that spoiled our arrival and evening
