Luna Maya is a 36 unit development with a quiet atmosphere that is just 1 block from Coco Beach. The common areas are immaculately maintained and the unit is fully equipped to make sure your stay is nothing short of amazing.

Welcome to Luna Maya, a hidden treasure 1 block from the beach.

This intimate development consists of 36 units in 6 separate buildings nestled in a quiet area of Coco Beach. Privacy and peace & quiet are the first things that come to mind when trying to describe this beautiful development. There is a main courtyard with a pool that is maintained daily, a palapa with ample seating and lounge chairs to soak up the sun. With a great location and immaculately maintained grounds, Luna Maya makes for the ideal travel accommodations.

Viento 6 is a two bedroom two bathroom unit with a main balcony off the living/dining room offering a view of the pool below and lush green space. The kitchen comes complete with everything necessary to cook to your hearts content with a dining room table able to seat 6. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, large en-suite bathroom and a small balcony allowing you to let in the ocean breezes. The second bedroom with its own full bathroom has two double beds providing lots of space for extra guests. For even more space, there is a sofa bed in the living room.

You have access to the common areas of the complex, parking and the whole apartment.

The Coco Beach area is one of the most privileged in Playa del Carmen. It is quiet and peaceful, only steps from the beach, but still only a few blocks from the start of 5th Avenue where you'll find countless restaurants and shopping. Everything is within walking distance and so a car or taxis are seldom required.

If you require a taxi or a rental car, you need only walk a few blocks to find either. The main street for taxis is 10th Avenue which is about 3 blocks away. As far as car rental companies, there are several on 5th and 10th which are all within a 10 minute walk.

● ***Across the street from this condo there is another building under construction. Some construction activities could be noisy, however all works will stop after 06:00 pm and during weekends***

● ** Electricity costs are extremely high in Mexico. It is already included in the payment of your stay, however, we always recommend responsible use of electricity, especially AC.**

● Please notice we only provide bottled water, toilet paper, paper towels and dish soap at arrival, after that you must buy as you need. We provide 1 bath towel and 1 beach towel per person on the reservation and 1 kitchen cloth.

●The cleaning fee you pay, only includes the cleaning and disinfection of the property before and after your reservation. Additional cleaning/change of linen and towels has an extra fee.

Our family of 6 stayed in this condo for 8 days in December 2022. Our kids range in age from 14 to 20. Check-in was fine.. They don't mention lugging your baggage up two flights of stairs, but this wasn't a big deal. We arrived about 30 minutes early and wanted to drop off our luggage so we could walk around town. We were sent a message stating "our housekeeping team reported that you entered the unit before checkin time, in doing so, we can not be responsible for any cleaning or maintenance issues at this unit." I responded that we simply dropped off our bags and we left. I said your staff was still there - so I disagree with your statement. This was a great start... Pros of this unit - near the beach, near 5th avenue, has a kitchen, A/C works well, coffee maker worked well Real review - kitchen has a few dishes and the absolute minimum cooking utensils. There is nothing but a small container of cooking oil and some salt. We ended up leaving paper towels, toilet paper, coffee filters, trash bags, clothes washing detergent, bars of soap and dryer sheets for the next users of the condo at our own expense. The coffee maker and A/C worked great. The clothes washing machine couldn't be louder (I think a bearing is going) and it leaks a pool of water during each use. The dryer stops every few minutes. The king bed is hard and one of the least comfortable beds we've slept in. The kids in the other bedroom seemed to sleep fine in those beds. The two boys attempted to use the fold out futon, but it was terrible. We ended up taking the cushions and mattress and putting them directly on the floor. This property is located a couple of blocks from 5th avenue which provided us plenty of options for food. The beach is not far - but it's not a beach you'd want to go to. The beach is tiny - literally a couple of feet wide, covered in seaweed and there are rocks preventing getting in to the water. My recommendation would be to head the direction of the ferry and enjoy one of the beaches/beach clubs 1+km away. We'll likely be in Cancun/Playa del Carmen again and have zero desire to rent this condo again - there are too many other options.

Terrible experience

First, our condo was on the third floor of a building without any elevator and without any notice to us. It was really difficult for us to carry our suitcases up the stairs. Second and more importantly, no one checked the condo before hand to see that one the bedrooms had an AC that was not working at all. We spent their three nights, they could not the get the AC fixed. There was no maid service to clean the kitchen, the bedrooms and the bathrooms.

Nice, relaxing, great location

We were a family of 5, with an infant. Stayed during Christmas week. It was a very roomy condo , kitchen was fully stocked , had some nice dinners with takeout food In the big dinner table. Drinking water provided which was a big plus for us to use with our babies formula. Dinner also worked as perfect desk for working remotely. The internet was on point , great speed , Netflix on the TVs which my teenagers loved and AC really refreshing . Was able to get home from beach and dry my clothes and even wash all my clothes before we checked out. Plenty of places to eat nearby , walking distance to beach clubs and beach, also the beach towels provided came in handy! Will Definitely book again thank you for the hospitality!

Great condo, Awesome location

Condo was clean and exactly like the pictures! Balcony overlooks the ocean and pool. Very quiet complex. I only saw people in the morning while they exercised. One side walking distance to the beach and beach clubs. Other side had 7-11 and restaurants. Great Italian restaurant by the way. Other side walking distance to 5th Avenida where you can find restaurants, entertainment and shopping. If I go back to Playa Del Carmen, I will stay here again!

Super nice condo in a great location

The condo is exactly like the pictures. So what you see is what you get. It is well equipped for cooking, they even had a blender for our pina colada!!! Wifi is great (was really impressed about that! Usually wifi in Mexico is not great) We were 5 person working or studying at the same time and it did not let us down once! Best thing about that condo is the location, 1 block from the beach and 2 blocks from the 5th avenue. Very safe location. Many small "tienda" to do small grocery and a walkable distance for everything (bigger grocery store, Wal Mart, etc). The manager, Rick, is always quick to answer questions and Henri, the concierge, too. Would go back right away if I could!!! Totally recommend that place!
