We came across this property by chance and we are so grateful we did. Tom was wonderful to work with and checked on us to see if we needed anything. The home is lovely. Being able to walk back and forth from the beach to the house is priceless. The home was fully stocked. Many items I typically bring with me were not needed. There were plenty of beach, kitchen, and bath towels. The air conditioner worked great (important when it is hot outside). The ice maker produced plenty of ice. The water pressure was strong. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms are udated very nicely. The washer and dryer are large in size. There are multiple seating areas. You can eat inside, on the screened porch, or on the bottom deck. The breeze and view from the bottom deck is spectacular; it is like being in a post card. We spent time hanging out and playing games on this deck. Looking from the kitchen toward the beach you felt like you were on a cruise ship; the water view is spectacular. Yes, you have to take the ferry to access the island, but this is part of the charm. Many times we felt we were by ourselves. This was a truly relaxing, family bonding vacation. We found many beautiful shells and a variety of sharks' teeth. The manatees and dolphins made numerous appearances. The water was very clear and and we felt like we were in the Caribbean. It was nice watching the numerous boats go by and the birds looking for a meal. Tom provided bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards which we enjoyed using. When the tide is low you can even ride bikes on the beach. We rented a golf cart and enjoyed evening rides looking at the different homes, landscape, and feeling the cool breeze. We even saw gopher tortoises a few times. We took rides to the Palm Island Resort to get breakfast sandwiches at the little store or dinner at the restaurant. We purchased a book of ferry passes (a bit cheaper than paying each time) and went into town a few times to check out some restaurants and get groceries. We never had long waits to get on or off the ferry. We were lucky enough to stay two weeks in this little slice of paradise. We hope to come back in the future. It really is a remarkable place! Thanks for everything Tom!
