Location and price . Staff was excellent and the food was good. Everything we were looking for in a short trip. Shout out to Benidicto for taking care of our needs and to Raina for giving us World Class massages.
This trip was everything I had hoped it would be. The staff are very well trained in taking care of you and very friendly. The tours they offer are very nice and the food at the two restaurants was excellent. The trip to the village was disappointing and really not worth the taxi fee back. The spa was absolutely wonderful, especially after a hike in the rain forest. Our whole experience at Roberts Grove was very nice.
Food was great -- Staff was great. A positive experience.
Well the beach is a joke. We couldn't enjoy it because of all the debris. The staff was very noisy. We left a day early and they wouldn't refund my money. The locals call it Robert's Grave.
To check in was a bit lengthy as they do not seem to get updates fast enough from their finance section.
My daughter and I enjoyed a glorious week here. It's a good deal for the money. Strong points: cleanliness, view, helpful and friendly staff, tour offerings. Areas needing improvements: beach chairs very uncomfortable, no printed information of area activities or town
We stayed from 6 Jan - 13 Jan. I think it's off season so the census at the hotel was pretty low which meant that some of the amenities were shut down (like the bar on the end of the dock). They also seemed to have minimum staffing at times in the restaurants - especially the Habaneros facility - which negatively impacted the dining experience there. Overall, we had a really nice vacation there. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The food was good overall. My only real complaint from my stay was value of the food and bar offerings. The food and liquor were expensive compared to spots in Placentia Village. Even the tourist bars, Tipsy Tuna and Barefoot offered better value - and better pours. I know they make a good amount of money on food and booze, but don't short pour a $10 drink. I watched them weigh the bottles every morning so it's not the bartender intentionally shorting the drinks.
Very nice resort, clean and large room. Friendly staff and guests. The resort is safe and very quite. The food needs improvement with more variety off the menu.
Beautiful Resort!! Exceptional Staff and Service!! Delicious Food!! Will definitely go back!! Only suggestion, the bathrooms could use some upgrading.
Great staff, staff booked and provided transportation to excursions. View is beautiful and relaxing . Dive shop was helpful and the diving was incredible. Highly recommend
The hotel was super cute and had a great hacienda feel. The staff was super helpful and sincere, which was a great thing to come by. The only thing I would let everyone know is it isn't the white sand beaches you expect. I know the staff told us it was rainy season hence all the seaweed on the beaches of the hotel. But when you ask the locals they let you know that the shoreline is always that seaweedy for some reason or another in Belize. However the stay was amazing and an unparalleled experience.
The resort is lovely and the staff know you by name. The massage at the spa was wonderful. There are bicycles to ride and many tours to local sites offered. The BBQ and band on Saturday night was delicious and fun. I will return!
The Placencia Beach area is very nice most anywhere on the small peninsula. Roberts Grove is comfortable, clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. This is much more a relaxed beach cabana style hotel, so don't look for fancy high end modern style. Nonetheless, the style is excellent and well coordinated with the environment. A nie play to stay!
This was a very nice experience. We were only there 2 days & then went to the mountains, but I would go back again. It does take a while to get there if driving, but worth the drive just for the sight seeing. Staff was just super & the room and surrounding area was great. Their dive/snorkle shop is just across the road & very helpful as well. Food was good & reasonable. Pictures are very accurate. Can't wait to return to Belize.
Beautiful hotel and location, however too far away from the city if you wasn't too keep going to the city, always have to take taxi. Friendly staff overall.
We recently stayed at Robert's Grove for 5 days. The staff was very helpful in getting activities organized, however there seemed to be poor communication between staff members and so it was important for us to check with the front desk multiple times to make sure they had the information correct. Food is very pricey and mediocre at the hotel, definitely NOT worth the price for the quality. In town there were many better restaurants with much better food. The "free" continental breakfast was pitiful (typically I don't complain about this), consisted of juice, toast and sometimes fruit. Nothing substantial, not even cereal, milk, oatmeal. . . .Very minimal. Next to the breakfast table there is an omelet station beware it is NOT included in your breakfast and is an additional $30 for an omelet. However the $10 US dollars for a one way trip (approx 3 miles), is ridiculous and can deter away from wanting to go into town, it is worth trying. The hotel itself was clean, in a beautiful location and had many activities to do and wonderful pools for the family.
Roberts Grove was amazing. The entire staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned twice a day, the food in all three restaurants was amazing. The beach raked very day and very clean. The grounds were beautiful, a little bit of dying plants but it is the dry season so this is normal. You will find the owners are extremely interested in you having a great time. It is a special place in Belize just north of the village Placencia. The hotel will call a cab for you to take into town or will set up a golf cart rental. You can walk up the beach to northern village do seine bight in about 15 min. We absolutely fell in love with Placencia, the peninsula and Roberts Grove
Having more mats on lounge chairs, replacing garish green lights with white and ditching the masks and other artwork in the main area would make RG look twice as good. The food is adequate--that's all--and overpriced. The entrance to Habaneros, the Mexican restaurant across the road , is sullied with hideous plastic cacti and ruts--it could be far more welcoming.. Some simple tweaks including more readiness by staff to help visitors eat elsewhere if they wish would go a long way because it's a good value and nice property. Natural is always better than fake.
This was leg 3 of the celebration of our 50th anniversary. Robert's Grove is an absolutely top knotch resort - excellent facilities, exceptional staff and amenities. We strongly recommend it as an ideal February-getaway place!
