People of the world, Plus points : Location is the best you can get. It is just not even a couple OF minutes walk from the tower. Restaurants just opposite, subway right next to the hotel. Staff were very helpfull and made it a pleasant stay. Breakfast is basic. Room did have a fantastic view of the tower just on front ( magical ) Ok Bad points : Hotel needs updating ( dirty carpets ) Room had a bit of a smell Toilet area very small to even sit down. TV big point no English channels 😕
This hotel is all about the location. The leaning tower is literally just outside your window. The hotel desperately requires updating but it is clean and comfortable and the reception staff are lovely. The breakfast is basic but adequate. There is a great restaurant directly across the street and a subway restaurant next door. So easy to get those great tower pics when the crowds have left or haven't arrived in the morning. Free fast wifi and plenty of space in the rooms. Just be ready for the 80's decor and it can't be beat for the price
The location of this hotel cannot be better. It is just a few meters away from the leaning tower, walking distance to any restaurant and main square. Rooms are always clean and tidy. Though being centrally located, it is a quiet hotel, no loud noises can be heard.Breakfast is very good though not abundant, but enough to kick off a good start of the day.
This doesn’t deserve one star it’s so run down and dirty. Heater in room isn’t manageable so it’s freezing . If it wasn’t prepaid I would have left upon arrival . We have been on a 9 week trip across Greece and Italy and this is by far the worst hotel. Please do not stay here !
Stayed just one night here on our way to San Miniato and had just booked the place on basis of previous reviews so didn't know what to expect. Location absolutely ideal within a hundred meters of the Tower. Actual accommodation very old but this is far outweighed by the location and very reasonable price especially if only staying a night or two. Breakfast basic enough but again not a major issue and just can't stress enough the convenience of location. Very helpful at reception desk too, with case storage area etc provided.Would like to give a good rating if there was one.
The first thing to say is how easy it is to reach,A quick transfer on the shuttle from the airport to the station 2.7 Euros and about 10 minutes, The bus leaves from bus stop one and is a couple of Euros and takes 10-15 minutes to reach the gate entrance to the Tower and Cathedral, Walk past the Tower and the hotel is just past some market stalls next to a Subway ( the eating variety ). The hotel is quite small but is managed by super friendly and helpful staff,Our room was on the 2nd floor. It was small with a comfortable bed ,space to hang clothes and lightproof shutters ;aiding a restful sleep and an easy to operate shower. Our room had a corner unit which might well be home to a T.V but instead one was attached to the wall half way up ,about the size of a laptop! Usual English gripe; Midsummer Murders just isn't the same dubbed to Italian! The room was absolutely fine for 3 nights, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was a simple affair. Not much choice, just a small area with one unit for cereal,a small unit for cheese and meat and a few yogurts.Tea and coffee was available , bread and croissants, but no fruit or juice , just flavoured mineral water. It was ok but a few extras would have been nice. However the location was just fantastic .Many restaurants close by and a short walk to the river and the quiet backstreets of Pisa,Big bonus was such charming and helpful staff,A few things missing but overall a brilliant little hotel.
Just returned from a short break to Pisa, and this was our base. It' a little dated and a bit crumbly in places, but spotlessly clean, perfectly comfortable and with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is simple (bread rolls and a croissant, with hams and cheeses) but with a couple of coffees, just right to start the day. There is a lift and only a few rooms will have a view of the bell tower, but at 8.15am, you'll certainly hear it !! Our room was quite small, and the bathroom door was a bit challenging, but as a simple base, it was perfect. A special mention to the wonderful Fabio, who helped us with travel for the Lucca bus.
When we arrived I have to say I was not sure about this hotel as the reception area is quite shabby and doesn't give a very good impression. We couldn't book in immediately because the rooms were not ready so worried a bit about what they would be like. Really needn't have as the rooms were spotlessly clean the beds very comfortable (slept really well every night unusual for me in strange bed). Breakfast very basic rolls croissant jams bit of ham and cheese coffee or tea but plenty of it all. Our rooms had a fantastic view of the tower which was two minutes walk away. The staff were fantastic so lovely friendly and very helpful so thanks to Laura, Josie, Maura, Christa and most of all Fabio who was the font of all knowledge extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Overall a really nice break. The hotel really could do with a makeover and would benefit from it i'm sure.
We stayed here just for one night along with our one year old. Location is superb, perfect. Just 15 steps away from leaning tower. You can visit leaning tower early morning before visitors start flocking. Hotel itself is very much dated but rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was very poor. Also they did not allow pram to be taken inside breakfast area (which all other 7 hotels allowed in our trip) which caused lot of inconvenience to us, baby chair they provided was very dirty and unusable. Otherwise, front desk was quite helpful. Considering what you pay and what you get, it was a good deal. Wifi was good speed and consistent.
We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, especially with Fabio at the reception desk. He speaks very good English and helps you out with anything possible. He has passion for his work! Rest of the staff is also friendly but a compliment to Fabio is in place here. The hotel is a bit outdated, but very clean. Free WiFi, breakfast included and only a few steps away from the tower. Our room was situated on the 2nd floor at the front and we had the view of the tower from our window :). Neighbour of the hotel is the Subway restaurant.
