Traveling on business I found myself in Picayune, MS. Only place to stay was this particular property. Checked in and was given a non-smoking King. Parking was a little tight, but manageable. Walked in the room after a long date and almost literally was smacked in the face by the horrible smell of a dirty/musty ashtray. Went back to the front desk, told that was the only room available. Ok, I guess I can tough it out one night. Moving on the bed did appear clean, rest of room not so much. Woke up middle of night with eyes watery and throat scratchy from the old smoke smell. Up and gone before daylight. This place is a dump.

It is very, very difficult for anyone who smokes to find a smoking allowed room - they're available here. The rooms are not fancy in the least, but are clean and offer all of the necessary amenities at a very low price. The front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms even have a wall safe for valuables - and they appear to be pretty secure. I appreciated that the floors are hard surface; I feel these will always be cleaner than carpet. My only complaints were that the parking spaces are a bit narrow and the pillows are too small and too few - 2 SMALL pillows on a King Size bed. The TV was large and had great reception and included HBO and lots of channels - it also has a volume limitation so it can't get too loud to disturb people in other rooms; personally, I wish it could have been just a bit louder. If you're a smoker or looking for a clean place to stay on a budget - you will probably like this motel.

My wife asked if we could have a first floor room because we had a lot of stuff to bring to the room. She was told there were no more rooms on the first floor, but we would be given the room closest to the stairs. Okay. Turns out it's a smoking room. Not okay. The bed covers have many cigarette burns and stains. I don't want to know what the stains are. I threw the bed covers in the corner so we wouldn't have to touch it. Pretty gross.

Suggestion:Would stay there again, no problem. Reason for Trip:Fun / Golf Very Good Overall, Would stay there again, no problem. Rooms were acceptable, except for smells like it needs a good airing out.

This was a horrible experience, I came from Ga to Ms and made reservations online. I got in the bed @ 4 woke up 7 and I had bumps on My hand, leg, foot, and a swollen Eye...I called front desk she told me that they never had that problem, but tell another person that they just had and outbreak with bedbugs and they just had to purchase a machine to get rid of them. All I know is I didn't go to sleep like this I cChecked in 04/16 checked out 04/17

after check in, room cleanliness very good, a/c and heat up to date. Supplies (i.e. towels...) plenty and clean), aamenities more than expected for price. courtesy excellent, all questions answered, availabilityof employess 24/7 excellent, unexpected courtesies extended i.e. rides to store...

Our room was okay. The key cards didn't work at first so I took them back. Only one of them worked then. The room smelled a stale like it used to be a smoking room. It feels like an older hotel. Air was good and cold after we turned it on. A plus in the south! But the vents were pretty dusty/dirty. The pool was small but adequate. The water was warmer than I prefer but it wasn't hot. Beds pretty comfy. Bathroom door wouldn't latch. The wifi was good during afternoon when there were only a handful of guests at the motel but the later it got, the spottier the wifi became. Slept great though. Okay place for a one night stopover.

And the room did not disappoint. Clean, roomy, big yv and nice bathroom. Also, the alarm clock has 2 power outlets that's are open and easy to access. This is HUGE. SERIOUSLY. It seems so simple, but so few places have accessible, open outlets or power strips in price range. A nerdy aside, i also dug the TARDIS blue door.

We went the week of April 11-13 2015. We come in from Tennessee. I called ahead they said pool would be ready was so cloudy could not see top step. Laid in the bed removed pillow Blood spot on the sheets. Went to office did not do anything except say well They said give your money back and your free to leave. At best the lady working the counter was AWESOME! Owner NOT so much at ALL. I will not be back AT ALL.

I stayed one night at the Econo Lodge on March 27, 2015. This establishment has horrible accommodations with even worse parking, I drive a Ford F150 4 door truck and had to park in front on the hotel and walk around to the rear of the building to my room due to lack of parking area space that would allow me to comfortably maneuver my vehicle. Upon arrival to my room I was concerned as what appeared to be dried blood spatters on the concrete walk. The stench inside the room was a mixture of animal urine and mold. (In fairness I did request a smoking accessible room) The walls and ceiling were covered in filth, stains and dirt. The television is outdated and the remote control was non-functioning. The carpet is beyond cleaning and the bathroom ceiling appeared to be in mid construction. The bathtub had several cigarette burn marks and needed a commercial cleaning. The headboard of the bed needs replacing badly and the linens were inexcusable with stains and burn holes. ALL linens were outdated, filthy, stained and had an unpleasant odor. I opted out on the breakfast as I was leery of eating anything prepared in this building. This was my first and only stay at this hotel. The only and mean ONLY complimentary statement I can issue this Econo Lodge is that the air-conditioner operates quietly and very well. I would recommend this establishment be completely demolished. It would make a nice place for an actual hotel.
