Staying at the Econo Lodge Picayune was one of the sacariest nights of my families life.

The rooms were nice. They have a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, comfy beds .. we were pretty impressed with the price being so low... but we almost got robbed on the 2nd floor ...where there is a little room ( where an ice maker or coke machine would be ) The guys asked us for money.. Then we went out to the truck later and they stood at the top of the stairs eyeballing us.. waiting for us to come back. Then they went to hide in the little open room on the 2nd floor.... they kept peeking out to look at us. We sat in the truck for a good 30 min because we were nervous, then finally said.. lets do this.. and walked up the stairs.. They ran out of the little room and They bumped up against us blocking us from the top of the stairs ... luckily my grown son opened our door and kind of shocked them.. we slipped past them into our room as fast as we could.. They walked back and forth in front of our room and standing in front of our door for a good hour talking on the phone saying.. The deal is still going down.. I was terrified. Thank You Picayune Police Dept. I have NEVER left anyone a bad review.. but since I booked my mother a room beside me and was so scared for her... I thought people should know that it can be a dangerous place.

Friendly people working there. Check in was great! The lady who checked me in had worked there for years! I even got checked in early which helped a lot. The room wasn't extravagant by a long shot. But I did not need that. I will certainly stay again. spent a few hours st the pool. Even the other guests were nice.

I was pleased the room was clean but the property it self need to be renovated

Room was ok, desk clerk could not find my reservation, was there two days and never got maid service. Will not stay there again.
