We were extremely happy with our stay at coconut village. The food was fantastic and the rooms were spacious. All the staff were welcoming and happy to help. I would highly recommend it as a quiet getaway.
This place dont have any beach, they beach that they have is terrible, the level of sea goes down for 20-50m in mid of day so you cant swim in the Sea. The cheapest price for a burger is 390baht up to 10Euro/12-13/usd.
We booked directly through the hotel as it ended up better value than Luxury Escapes (could get a better room for same price). Staff were so very friendly and more than willing to help with anything at all. Pool table and table tennis table available to use plus bikes and the free water taxi was handy. Pools big and great view over the ocean, plus a good waterslide (even for an adult)! Would recommend the night markets (barter for your cab) and a trip into Patong to shop. All inclusive for all meals is excellent value and cocktails of the day very generous. No watered down alcohol or anything of the sort, plus mini bar refilled as part of this. Good variety of food too. Overall an excellent, relaxing holiday and would recommend to all .
Was a very good experience and thoroughly enjoyed the stay Staff were very good and helpful The villa was very clean and spacious Internet was good and available through out the resort Transfer into and out of resort can be better
This is a lovely hotel, fantastic service, with small "chalets" with cooling pools outside each chalet. Spotlessly clean, with grounds maintained and updated all the time, in a none intrusive manner. The staff are helpful, polite and gracious. The bar on the beach is lovey with nice snacks an lovely cooling beer or cocktail. We went with our two boys who had a great time spending time on the beach, pool or chilling in the chalet. Good regular access to to the mainland in a regular water taxi service. All in all a great holiday a oasis of calm and beauty outside of Phuket but with easy access to all the amenities
We mostly had a great time staying here and would still recommend it to others, even though there were a few disappointments. My wife and I travelled with the Luxury Escapes all inclusive package. A few good things on our stay: Service - this was excellent (99% of the time), with all staff courteous and friendly. Those at Koko restaurant were particularly good throughout our stay (especially Lester and RJ). However, there were often times at the beachfront when we had to wait over 30 minutes for drinks, even though it wasn’t full; things generally seemed slow with service behind the bar. Food & drinks - every meal we had was great. Huge range of cuisines to choose from and each one always delivered great results. Even the pizza and pasta was great, not something we'd expect on an island in Thailand! The Thai food was of the level that you'd expect from a top Thai restaurant in Sydney. The drinks were also great, with cocktails and frappes delivering the goods. However the wait time on meals was often long, and on a couple of occasions we did have to wait over 2 hours for dinner, which was pretty average given the restaurant was not full. 5 stars for the food, 3 stars for the speed and efficiency. Villa - this was well appointed and what we'd expect, given the secluded nature of the resort. We had a pool which was always clean and perfect temperature. We did have an issue with our bath drain not being properly connected (meaning it drained into the rest of the bathroom), but this was fixed quickly and there were no other issues with the villa throughout our stay. Airport transfers - this all went ahead without a hitch (both to and from the airport). However, something to be aware of is that it's not a hotel employee that picks you up. It appears that the hotel uses local car services instead. Both drivers and vehicles were awesome, spoke great English and gave us heaps of tips, so no problems there. But a recommendation to management; maybe have the driver put on a hotel shirt and pop a big magnetic logo of the hotel on the side of the car when they pick up hotel guests? Just a small thing, but it would put travellers minds at ease to know that they're getting picked up by the hotel, rather than a random that might be 'taking them for a ride' (as we'd personally experienced in Bangkok from a TukTuk driver). Again, our drivers were great and there were no issues at all, just something to be wary of if you're a new traveller to Thailand. Some of the not so good things: Shuttle to the Phuket night markets - same as above, the service is outsourced to a driver (different to our airport transfer driver). Unfortunately we were taken to a different market than where we, and others in our group, assumed that we'd be taken. This was annoying for us as we'd planned to meet friends at Old Phuket town Sunday markets, but were taken to Naka market. We tried talking to the driver to have us taken to the other markets, but he said no. Again, something that could have been fixed if a staff member was around who spoke better English, or if it was articulated to us before we left. Tour groups - Something else to be wary of is the tour groups that stay at the resort for a single night. They’ll often arrive late at night and leave in the morning. I feel that the ‘peace and serenity’ of the resort is lost when you have in excess of 100 people turning up for less than 24 hours (almost taking over the resort), and a lot of staff attention is diverted to these groups rather than those customers that are staying for the week. We struggled to get onto our pre-booked morning boat ride (heading to the mainland for an elephant trek), as a result of the large tour groups all leaving at the same time. Renovations - we arrived the day that renovations were supposed to be finished. Unfortunately due to rain in the previous weeks, the renovations continued throughout our stay. This is obviously not within their control, but it’s unfortunate that management did not make adequate compensation for not having access to all facilities. We were given an upgrade to our room (garden view to Seaview), but our access to dining options at the beach was limited. The package that we bought said that ‘guests can kick back on their lounger with some poolside eats’ (which included burgers), yet when I asked for a burger to eat by the pool, staff said that this was not possible (pizza only). They couldn’t provide a reason, just that it’s not allowed. Doesn’t seem right, given we were paying for all inclusive and we were promised it in our package? I eventually got the burger, but it required a lot of back and forth with staff and they didn’t seem happy about it. Whilst there were some aspects of the trip that were less than desirable and put a dampener on our stay, we still enjoyed our trip and would stay again.
The fun begins with a speed boat transfer to the resort The staff are so good and sort out all the luggage for you The resort is split up onto villas I would recommend you get your own pool with sea view as the accommodation is stunning There are little trucks that will get you around if you need help There were renovations that are just coming to an end and when finished will be amazing , in the meantime there was a pop up bar in a villa on the beach Due to renovations food was limited but adequate this will improve shortly Staff were so amazing and friendly The shop is small so if you need anything special take it over with you Apart from check in and out if you want to leave on speedboat there is a small charge ( but there is no reason why you would go !) All in all an amazing unique resort
Drinks and dinner at Kok was very nice. Spectacular views over the bay, sunset, a live saxophone player. Staff in general truly friendly. Highly recommended, even if you are not staying at the hotel. Great evening!
Never had such a fantastic holiday in a remote island. My gamble paid off! My wife and I enjoyed the serenity and cleanliness of the rooms and the location; the timeliness to attend to our calls for Room Service/Transport service to the Pier and the very friendly Staff, especially Rudy who was the first to greet us on the island. Wea.ther was wonderful Breakfast could have been more Asian, with Nasi Lemak or PhadThai and some Sticky rice!. Otherwise, we enjoyed every moment and wish we could have spent more days!
We had a from luxury escapes voucher The unit was spacious nicely decorated the bathroom was well stocked clean with the old fashion foot bath with separate shower it has a cooking area should you choose to cook fridge TV wardrobe with good storage, there is a dip pool fenced for privacy. The resort itself is well set out has lovely pools waterslides two restaurants you can take a dip in the ocean and enjoy water activities there is a beach bar and night activities music etc at night.
