Only stayed one night for transit and it was such a mistake booking this hotel. The room was rubbish, it was smelly and the shower curtain was tearing and filthy (mildew growing) and stains in the tub. The bed was hard as rock. Read some reviews before booking this hotel but never imagined this level of service. They could not find our booking so we thought maybe it was only a booking and that payment was to be made at the hotel. We booked online via agoda but payment details were taken under booking.com but we didn't realise this at the time. We arrived late 8pm and didn't want to contest too much since we had an early 7am checkout. We figured they will find the booking eventually and sort it out the next morning. When we checked out (we already had a car waiting for us) they only refunded the deposit - which meant that we had paid TWICE for one night stay. Only managed to check our credit card statement that payment was taken upon booking, weeks ago! When we contacted the hotel a few days later to refund the credit card transaction, the manager claimed that the AM staff on shift had refunded both THB1000 and THB1350. So we demanded that they checked their CCTV, and they did not respond since. There was a receipt issued for both deposit and the one night stay but they conveniently "could not find the documents". Very dishonest. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU CAN.

Check In was good, however a 1000bhart is required upon check in for a deposit for safety deposit box and towels. The room is big, beds were huge but matted was really hard and it was uncomfortable, it was really noisy at night due to a generator or something. Breakfast okay but there is no atmosphere at all, staff look miserable and are constantly standing round looking really bored. We stayed for 7 nights and couldn't wait to leave but a night or two in sure we would of thought it was okay. Our toilet blocked several time and the first night it was overflowing it was disgusting but they did resolve it when we informed reception. Location is great as it is a short walk to the centre and market, we eat at the market everyday as good was brilliant and so cheap. Nice pool but again no atmosphere, ther is also a lot if Chinese there which isn't necessary a problem but I think that the hotel tends to cater for them rather than other guests. Overall okay for short stay to explore Patong area but anymore than two nights pay more and stay sowmwhere a bit better because this place is a bit depressing at times.

I stayed at the Phuvaree last year and found it not to bad but there was room for improvement. This year things had improved. The room was clean and serviced on time every day. Breakfast was average but quite sufficient. The customer service had improved since last year and the staff were very pleasant although lacking English skills. Courtesy bus leaves twice a day which is convenient for the days you don't want to do the walk into Patong. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

A good value hotel! Not far from pa tong beach - 20-25 min walk (we love walking). 5-10 min taxi drive for 200 baht or less. A bit hard bed mattress- my husband found it too hard and was uncomfortable and couldn't sleep most if the nights but for me it was ok. A bit rough bed linen as specially can notice it when your skin is very sensitive after sunbathing. 2 btl of water for free every day, coffee and tea available and refilled every day. Beach towels and towels changed every day or on request. Staff don't speak english much but is very helpful. If you want to pay by credit card 5% charge is applied, we ended up paying cash and 1000 baht deposit required. Funny that they didn't offer to return deposit after checking out 😳 only when we asked for it. If your plane is late night you can leave bags in hotel, only they are kept in front of reception- available for everyone to take. We had a little mix up with floors when coming back to hotel at night, we went one floor down to ours and we were able to open doors of another room!!! That was so shocking! Didn't feel safe to leave our staff in room when we went on tours! We only noticed that we have opened wrong doors when we couldn't open them as they were blocked from inside, but still we unlocked them! As i said - good value but not comfortable and unsafe! Probably will not return again.

We Stayed in this Property when it was recently Constructed in Dec 2012 and partial Work was still Pending. It has a Good Restaurant but Rooms were Not Clean may be Because of the Dust as Work was going on at that Time. There's a Restaurant just Outside this Hotel and a Mart where you get all Stuff makes this place convenient for budget People. You May Prefer this only if you are looking for Budget Constrained Hotel.

I stayed at the Phuvaree for 2 weeks after getting a great package deal on Expedia. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk to busy Patong and the hotel offers a free shuttle bus service twice per day. Pros - The rooms are fairly clean and serviced every day like clockwork. They provide the usual toiletries and fresh towels. There is tea and coffee making facilities and one free bottled water per person per day. There is a lift to get to your room and the common areas are quite clean. The rooms are a good size and have a pool view balcony. The pool is clean and open from 8am to 8pm daily. Average breakfast was provided. There is a coffee shop called the Chuvaree, you can purchase meals for 99 baht before 5pm. Not a bad place to eat but a few communication issues. There is also a mini mart attached to the hotel, not much in there but handy if you need a few things. It is very easy to flag down a Tuk Tuk or taxi out the front if you need to. Cons - Be prepared as they ask for 1000 baht upon check in to cover any mini bar expenses, this is refunded when you depart. They provide you with a receipt for the 1000 baht and make sure you keep it. We used 960 baht from the mini bar and as I couldn't find the receipt they tried to charge us again. The staff speak very little English so it is quite difficult to communicate most of the time. I didn't mind but if you expect assistance to get to your room you wont get it....self service with your bags. Breakfast was the same each day. Not fancy but okay. This hotel seems to have a lot of tourists who stay for just one night at a time....if you go down to breakfast early it is way to crowded, if you go later you have to try and communicate with the staff to get glasses, bowls and juices. I noticed the floor area was covered in half masticated food which I didn't want to see while I was trying to eat. Also the odd smokers are not moved on from the eating area which is a bit off putting. There is a vacant lot on one side of the hotel and another hotel next door. Across the road there is deserted, half built hotels, personally I didn't mind the seclusion because it was quite but not a lot to look at. I would stay there again and the price is the main attraction, the worst part was the transient tourists who crowded the reception and breakfast areas in the mornings.....

At this price, we are expecting more, this is a hotel that is slightly better than a budget hotel, it's far from patong beach too. U can't request for second set of key, the air-cond is set at 29c, after I complain I came back to my room and found out its 26c...wtf?

We stayed in this hotel for three weeks. Perfect location; Away from the noisy Patong but only 15 min. walk to the city & beach, 10 min. taxi-ride to Karon of Kata Beach if you feel Patong to crowdy... OK hotel, nice rooms, hard beds (slept very well), elevator, aircondition, wifi, good breakfast - absolutely worth a try if you stay in Patong. However, the restaurant was terrible; they never had what the menues said and the food they served was not exactly superb. The biggest problem was that the staff did not speak english. We hanged "Do not disturb" outside the door - they entered. We ordered room-service - never got it right. We were never sure if they really understood what we said, even if they smiled and said that thay did... They are friendly and helpfull, though.

Beautiful Location, amazing place, clean swimming pools, Luxury at its best. Good Service, excellent quality food. Worth for money. Hardly 15 min walk from the beach & market.

First of all bwahh what a terrible colour, maybe the same owner as simon cabaret down the road?Swimming pool ok and clean just a congested feeling between the surrounding buildings,The breakfast is the most terrible we ever had in Asia,no cheese,no cold cuts, juice beurk, egg station ok,bacon one day yes the other nope for the bacon, friendly staff?maybe one guy.Ask for a room on the first our second floor because you don't want to do the stairs to the fourth floor,if you like hard bedding this is the place for you, matrasses are like concrete,so don't forget pain medication, wifi ok 200 baht 160 min,100 baht for 70 min, when you check in or out insist to have your bags carried or you will do it yourself;conclusion not for me this place, the bathroom is ok but small, the airco is ok,As a conclusion my opinion is that this hotel is fine for young people who wants to be close to Patong, just out of the hustle and bustle,BUT YOU NEED TRANSPORTATION!!!!Car or Motorbike it is to far away from beaches and the center of Patong to walk.
