This review is by a couple in our early 60's if that helps. I can honestly say there are no negative comments as the management and staff have offered only the best service possible during our 12 night stay. From housekeeping staff, breakfast staff, reception and management, these people are very diligent in carrying out their duties. Grounds, pools and general access areas are maintained to a very high standard. To read previous TA comments that breakfasts are fine but nothing to rave about astounds me as the selection, quality and quantity of options are enormous. To begin the day with such a feast is truly a treat. Anyone not impressed by the breakfast must indulge in some pretty awesome breakfasts in their own homes on a daily basis. We stayed in the Busakorn wing and found the pool truly impressive with a lovely swim up bar. The Terrazzo restaurant is great at sunset with a lovely outlook whilst being entertained by a thoroughly enjoyable vocalist with his guitar. Monday night at Seabreeze restaurant offered BBQ & seafood buffet for 699baht and was exceptional. I can only say a massive "thank you" to Holiday Inn for making our stay truly memorable. Well done to each and everyone of you. We would not consider any other resort on return.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Resort Phuket from 10th June -14th June ,2017. I travelled with my Wife, two kids and parents . We stayed in the Busakorn Wing which has very nice , big rooms ( probably one of the best rooms I've stayed in ) ;plenty of space in the rooms for my kids to run around , with all the amenities . The hotel itself is quite big with one side opening up on Patong beach right across the road . The backside entrance ( which was closer to our rooms ) is in the middle of the market with the entire Patong market within 10-15 mins walk . The pool is very pretty and tastefully done . all of us enjoyed the pool very much . One distinguishing feature of the hotel was its well laid out breakfast . There are plenty of options and you cant try everything at one time. Just that the place get a li'l hot during this season . Overall, an amazing hotel and stay . I would recommend this hotel to for a nice , luxurious and comfortable stay .

Stayed for 10 nights in April in the Busakon wing. Not off to a good start when we get in 2 am to be told that our room was 2 beds rather than a king despite booking a king via the IHG website. Changed the next day but disappointing. Overall the rooms were what we expected and a nice layout. Breakfast - Just stay at the Busakon wing for breakfast. You can go to the main wing but it has the same food, feels more crowded and rushed. Egg station was very good and our little one loved the croissants and pastries. Pool - Again the Busakon is less crowded and you actually have a good chance of getting a sun lounge compared to the main wing pool which is smaller and feels like there is 4 times as many people. Food service around the pool was good and quick as well. Dinner - Room service is effecient and meals came very hot. Also ate at the italian restaurant out the front of the hotel (but still part of the hotel) and found it to be very good value for money. Kids Club - only used it once for the Songkran party but our little one enjoyed it and the staff appeared to be on the ball. Overall we were glad we paid a little extra for the busakon wing. The hotel is very good value, good location and no problems with transport to or from the hotel. There is also a mini mart across the road. Another bonus was that on most day trips that we took, we were the last hotel to be picked up from and the first hotel to be dropped off. Would strongly consider staying here again next time we stop in phuket.

Great property & well situated - get both options a) of the local market from one entrance & the Beach from the other. The staff is very hospitable & polite. Would like to mention the following names as they made out stay more comfortable & memorable, 1) Terrazo - Supatra & Sittichai, 2) Charm Thai - Chef Pittaya, Ruyi & Song, 3) House-keeping - Armina. The Busakorn wing was a delight to stay in. Breakfast you could feast on - huge spread.

My family of four, including 2 children aged 4 and 11 checked in to Holiday Inn Resort Phuket after a 2-nights stay at a hill-side property and we were indeed surprised at the warm hospitality that welcomed us. We arrived earlier than the stipulated 2 pm check-in time and was attended to by Ms Carmen at the Front Office. She noted that we had booked a Family Suite with a preference for the Pirate-themed kids room attached to the Family Suite and as it was not ready, she thoughtfully suggested for us to go for our lunch first and come back again later. If the suite is still not ready by then, she will arrange for a day-use room for us to rest first. We had our lunch and returned back to the hotel, and the suite was ready for us. Again, Ms Carmen was very kind to assist with our check-in. Needless to say, the kids were delighted with what they saw of the pirate-themed room (refer to the photos). Prior to the actual check-in, I have also secretly arranged with Ms Wipa of Reservations, for a bouquet of roses and birthday cake for my wife, whose birthday falls on the same day of our check-in. And I must say that all the details was captured promptly and even during the check-in process, Ms Carmen re-affirmed the secret arrangements with me when my wife was out of earshot. A short while after we have settled into the suite, Ms Carmen and two other colleagues promptly arrived at our rooms and surprised my wife with the bouquet of flowers, birthday cake and a birthday card signed by various hotel management staff. The rooms were great and the kids enjoyed not only the various entertainment found in the kids rooms, but also the Kid's Club and the Kid's Pool. Both my wife and I were also impressed with the level of professionalism exhibited not only by the staff manning the Kid's Club, but throughout the resort. Everyone had a smile with them at all times. Even the Spa Therapists at Tea Tree Spa too! Kudos to Spa Therapist Ms Wasanna (hope I spelt her name correctly) for her highly skilled therapy technique that impressed both my wife and I on separate occasions. I had a bad left shoulder ache which she helped to relieve. Even the live entertainment at Terrazzo Ristorante & Bar facing Patong Beach was marvelous! We enjoyed the dinner and live entertainment greatly with the two kids joining in the fun! Kudos to the management of this delightful property and a BIG thank you especially to Ms Wipa, Ms Carmen, Ms Wasanna and all the wonderful staff of Holiday Inn Resort Phuket for making this a greatly family holiday and birthday celebration to remember for years to come.

Stayed here for 5 days in the Busakorn Suites and I loved every minute of it. Holiday Inn Resort is at a very nice location along Patong Beach; everything is walking distance and you have places like Hard Rock Cafe or Burasari Massage right next to it. Furthermore, the hotel staff was very helpful, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast served at Charm Thai is a wide selection so don't miss it!

The staff here are fantastic. I have a group of 12 and they helped me with reservations for transport, restaurants and spas and were always smiling as they helped us. They helped to make our stay very pleasant. However, do note that if you had booked in advance via credit card, you need to bring that same credit card when you check in (don't ask me why). The hotel is also not very new so be prepared for some minor defects (our room had a musty smell). The pool is also quite small but then I don't use it much so it doesn't affect me.

We stayed here for 6 days and had mixed feelings regarding the hotel. The Largest issue we had was that we booked 2 months in advance and furnished a credit card via the booking channel we used. Apon arrival we presented a new credit card. We where not told to bring the old credit card along for payment. I presumed all was ok with the booking as the amount for the accommodation had been deducted from our account before arrival. But here is the thing. They had the print out of the old card slip where the money was deducted and they could have just asked me to sighn the slip they did manually. Problem was they wanted that card or needed to deduct the new card again… So I questioned why this procedure if they already had the money onto there account. NO ONE could say why – all just kept saying it was the Hotel Policy… Hotel Policies are awesome but it needs to make sense to the customer and the hotel. This did not make sense as they had the money, they had the credit card slip – all they needed if they wanted to do was to ask me to sign the slip… So long story short we ended up needing to pay again and where told the money would reflect 2 weeks later. So we had no choice but to let them deduct the amount of the new card again…. Its now been 20 days and still no refund in sight. Also we have been staying at this hotel as family for years and the way this was dealt with has left a sour taste. Last time we visited Thailand we had our credit card skimmed and over $5000 was used by criminals so we thought it good to have a credit card just for Thailand and then destroy the card once our holiday was done.

The resort is at a fantastic location, right near the hustle and bustle of Patong, but sufficiently sheltered from the noise and crowd. The sheer convenience of stepping out and having a plethora of options for food, shopping, massage etc is what makes this place the best choice. Just outside the hotel, there's Irish Bar, Hooters and Hard Rock Cafe. Lots of massage options and also inexpensive laundry options. The staff in particular are extremely friendly, welcoming and always eager to help. We had fantastic time. We were a group of 2 families - 2 couple and two 16 year old boys. The men and boys went for 4 days of scuba diving course and the ladies found it very convenient to plan their day trips around the city due to helpful travel desk at the hotel. All in all - a highly recommended place to stay!!!

We stayed 2 night here and really enjoyed the fact we were able to be private from the commercialism of Patong Beach. Our room was king size studio and had fab air con. The breakfast offered fantastic variety however it would possibly better to offer less as the wastage must be huge. We were recommended to have the Seafood buffet on Saturday night for 900 Baht but I was disappointed in the quality with the exception of the Japanese sushimi and sushi. Lovely. The fish was cooked nicely but the calamari that was cooked in the grill was tough. There was no smoked salmon offered and the quality of the prawns and mussels disappointing. I didn't think much of the garlic bread either. The pools here are really wonderful as is the pool bar in the centre of the pool. There's also a nice offering of food for snacks. There are lovely comfy seats with nice cushions placed around the pool. The staff at this hotel are great. Friendly and communicative with excellent English. It's location is perfect right in the heart of Patong Beach but we made a decision not to swim in the sea as it looked dirty with touts everywhere selling everything from taxi rides to massage. The hotel is very private and secluded from the street do you are able to escape!
