It mightn’t have been quite five star, but our lowest priced room turned out to be a full-on one bedroom apartment. Very well furnished with everything one could want, including the most comfortable bed and pillows we’ve experienced in Asia. Breakfast was good with a buffet to help yourself to whilst your ordered items were being prepared. We did have a problem finding our way into the place when checking in. We arrived late at night by rental car, finally double parked at the top of the raised circular drive, climbed up a heap of steps and found the lobby. They directed us to park our car in the basement, and then to move it after registering. We left if where it was until the next morning when we could quite clearly see the entrance to the main car park signed “residences”. There was some renovation work going on which generated a little bit of noise, but it didn’t really affect us … apart from that, a great albeit short stay. The only real complaint is the number of stairs with no handrails making it difficult for those with mobility issues. PS. The exchange rate was 24.8b to the AU$ at the airport … and 25.8b on the street at Nai Yang 

Coming from weeks in Hanoi and Siem Reap, Phuket was a disappointment. That aside, the pool villa was a clean private area for relaxing. The airport, though only 5 mins by car, is expensive to get to and from. Beach, just two mins away, can be somewhat rough. The restaurant is of sub standard. Breakfast was an European chain hotel affair. Unless on very short trip, look elsewhere.

Firstly, this is in no way a 5 star Hotel both in terms of facilities and service. We stayed one night before coming back to England having previously stayed at another 5 star hotel called santhiya which was incredible. Unfortunately for Dewa they have building work going on next to the hotel and the noise is pretty constant however I would expect them to be extra sure to make up for this by offering world class service and for it to be reflected in the price you pay for each night ... it is not. There are much better hotels out there in terms of value for money and facilities. None of the staff were rude or unhelpful however this is a 3 star hotel and no one should be misled that they are getting anything above that. Very average.

I often stay at Dewa Resort for 2-3 night stopover in Phuket on my way to/from Bangkok, however, this time it was for a little longer - 4 nights. The resort is only 5 minute drive by car from the airport and is extremely convenient for a brief stopover but perfect too for a longer break. The check-in/ reservations staff are very professional and wonderful to deal with. I prefer to stay in a junior suite which is roomy, well equipped, spotlessly clean and with a separate bedroom. There is also a kitchenette and spacious lounge area. You have a personal balcony and if you happen to get a top floor suite, there is a sundeck. The resort itself is well maintained with great facilities, breakfast is excellent (with adequate variety) and the service staff prompt and polite. Due to the close proximity to the airport, you can stroll over the road to the beach, turn right and watch the planes take-off and/or land. There are a number of beach restaurants a 5 minute walk in the other direction that serve a great variety of drinks and some very nice food (both Thai and Western). I thoroughly enjoy staying at this resort and look forward to doing so again in the very near future.

We picked the Dewa as a last minute booking as we were arriving in Phuket after midnight and wanted somewhere close to the airport to stay the night. We had a group of 4 adults and 6 kids. The whole experience was fantastic. We were picked up on time, quickly checked in, given an ice cold drink, and shown to our rooms. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The Buffett breakfast had great variety and attentive staff. The pool is a great size, the games area has plenty for kids to do. Wished we had more than one night here. Highly recommend!

This resort is very relaxing - good sized rooms, private walked villa with own good sized plunge pool, outdoor shower and bath, good resort pool, excellent inclusive breakfast, very friendly staff, knowledgeable f&b manager, 5 minutes from the airport, lovely beach across the road and plenty of choice of beach bars and restaurants 5 minutes walk (our favourite - Almond Beach) Good for couples and families. And best of all - great value!!

We have stayed at Dewa 5 times now and in general we have always had a pleasant stay, not fantastic, not rubbish just pleasant. But there has always been something about it that just doesn't really work & the problem is it doesn't know what it wants to be. The private pool villas (where we stay) is marketed as a great option for a romantic stay, private room, private pool, tropical paradise......... Screaming baby!!! Wait, what? Yeah, you see thats the thing. It might appear to be a great option for a romantic getaway, but you no what kills romance dead? The sounds of crying children. The problem is, is that its not viewed as a great spot for a romantic stay by everyone, for a large proportion of tourists, its viewed as a great place to stay with small children, who can splash & yell & cry until their little hearts are content. See the problem here..... Doesn't know what it wants to be. There is a larger part of the hotel that is very much dedicated to families, but bigger ones, who want multiple rooms so it works for them, but if you've got one or two little ones, it's straight to the private pool villas for you! I guess the fact that we love Nai Yang will always mean it is an option (hoping that maybe, just maybe we might get a bit of seclusion), but it is by no means a certainty when it comes to booking in the area.

This is the second time we have stayed at this resort and we were disappointed this time. The deck and pool were so hot that you could not use them, and there was no shade anywhere over the pool. The breakfasts were great with western breakfasts ordered at the table and cooked when you wanted them. You are only 5 minutes or so to the airport so it is very convenient for that. The resort has a bakery attached that has very good pastries with half price specials after 4pm.

Let me explain, I will not say that this hotel is bad, but we are a bit far away from the 5 stars service you can expect. Now, the price is cheap for the 5 stars they pretend to be and that is justified. 1) I arrived at reception and my taxi driver put the luggage down. Nobody came to help us, they just said: "leave the luggage there, we will do it". Ok! We made the check in, and we needed to wait 30 minutes, not big deal, but after talking with them I found that the luggages were still there on the way. I finished by taking them by my self into the lobby. 2) around the hotel, it is not that nice. The beach is a bit dirty and not so much to see. If you ask for directions 3 times, you will have 3 different answers by the staff. 3) we got the room as promised and we were on the way to it when we realized that some construction works were going on. We asked when it would be finished and the lady who took us to the room said: October! But.. we had no information of it before. That is noisy. On the way to room we saw a lot of trash on the land beside the hotel. What a pity. 4) The room is big and clean, even if the furnishing is starting to be old. We had a two bedrooms unit with a big balcony. From the dining room it is easy to get out in the balcony and see the swimming pool (nice from far to be honest, but I didn't go near) and the big machine processing the construction works. I checked on booking.com and they are the only one who mention: this hotel will be processing works from July 1st to end of September. Well... we are still in June!! 5) In one of the bedroom it was impossible to open the window or the door to the balcony. I had to complain to get it opened. It was a question of safety, they say, but you can get to the same balcony from another side, i just wanted some air in the room. Well, I didn't feel comfortable at all. Even if the kitchen was great in our apartment and all was almost clean (a lot of dust on curtains and lighting). We decided to leave. I cannot say if it is a good or bad place. If you think about the quality/price ratio.. it can be nice for low budgets or if you have never had a real 5 stars hotel. I changed to the Marriot... and the difference of price is just 40€. Indeed, I lost the money for one night... but.. I feel much better.

We have stayed here 3 times but this will be the last.We should have been informed that construction was going on but we weren't. Rooms are tired and shabby nothing has been done to keep these rooms in the 21st century. Smoking is still being allowed in the dining areas which is unacceptable. Unfortunately if the people in the rooms next to you smoke in their rooms it comes through the air conditioning vent in both the living and bedroom areas of your rooms which is pretty disgusting. Had a great holiday in Naiyang but will stay elsewhere if we come back.
