This is a hotel located across the Road from Patong Beach. It is not a convenient location for those who want to be within easy Walking distance of Jungceylon and Bangla Road. You need a taxi to most places unless you want a long walk which adds to the costs. Not much at all around the hotel itself. The best thing about the hotel is some of its artwork. The service was very poor in the hotel. Food was average at best. When I stayed there was a planned power outage which you only found out about after you arrived in your room. This should have been advised at check in. Housekeeping didn't appear until mid afternoon. There is no do not disturb signs so when I went to have an afternoon nap I was woken up twice by Housekeeping. The bellman was very unhelpful, and I will be writing to Management about him separately. Wifi inconsistent. I would not stay at this hotel again.
Friendly staff (nothing too much trouble) and for being in such a great position across from patong beach, was super quiet. Breakfast is next door and its not 5 star but great value and would return one day.
I spent 2 weeks here, and it was in a nice quiet are of Patong beach, the staff were very welcoming and polite, the rooms were maintained EVERY day, sheets changed and towels changed without fail! The view from the pool was exceptional, very chilled area with some 'okay' music. The disadvantage were the drinks were already rather expensive and to top it off the added an extra 17% to the total cost due to service charge and tax charges. The room I stopped in was quite groggy and could of done with a bit of paint and above the bed the glass has smashed at some stage and never replaced! The bathroom smelt like the streets of patong! I don't know why this was, and when prompted they said they would fix, but it never did. The "free wifi" is none existent, you can log in then you lose connection or your pages don't load. The staff didn't know how to solve this. Overall the place was nice, really nice artwork in and around the building. I would recommend to people who want to be away from the hectic rush of markets further down the road on patong beach. Thanks
I stayed at B-Lay Tong for 2 weeks and the staff were welcoming and friendly. They offered a very relaxed atmosphere and my room was clean/serviced everyday. Location was great as it was opposite to the beautiful beach. I love the fact that you can practically just cross the road and the beach is just there. The food was average and a little pricy but close to local eatery. The hotel manager Daow always made sure that the customers were the priority and making the time to speak with you personally. He was more than willing to help as well as the rest of the staff.
Just had two weeks at b-lay tong and were sad to leave. The location of the hotel is amazing. It's at the quite end of Patong with a 15 min walk or 200baht tuk tuk into bangla. We had a bit of a slow start I think our coach dropped us off a bit early and our rooms weren't ready. It took about half an hour to check in. But I think that was the only down fall of the hotel. We had a room access pool which thinking about it probably isn't worth it, for us anyway. We were always out through the day and didn't get back till late so we used it about 3 times. The rooms are really nice well decorated, love the waterfall showers. The main pool was nice it did get a little packed towards the end of the day but as it's right on patong beach you can just nip over the road if it's too packed. The gym is quite small the pictures on the website make it look loads bigger but it's got what you need to keep you going. Breakfast was nice they do the usual bacon, sausage, beans etc. They also do continental, pancakes and a little bit of Thai. Try the steamed dumplings they are nice!! The restaurant at nice isn't that great but you are just round the corner from no9 restaurant which is possibly the best Thai in patong. The staff at the hotel are brilliant they are always doing stuff and will help you if you need it. Always have a smile on there face and greet you every time. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
B Lay Tong certainly may have seen it's better days but the property has a great location across the road from Patong Beach, friendly staff, clean rooms and shared areas. Does it need a face-lift? Probably, but who doesn't. I loved our pool access room, just what I needed after a busy day shopping or touring Phuket's many attractions.
Unfortunately my partner and I were not impressed with this accommodation for $220 AUS a night. We only stayed for four nights. We stayed in a pool access room which we both think is a waste of money to the pool being freezing and no direct sun light. The room we were in was on the end so unfortunately everyone walking up and down the steps to the main pool and around the garden area could see us, so no privacy. The room however was clean and well serviced daily. The shower was very disappointing due to it seeming blokes, when showering it was like having a bath at the same time .... when telling staff they said it would be fixed the following service .. it was not. Bed and pillows were clean and comfortable and sheets were changed daily. Breakfast was disappointing with not much variety and not great service from the waitressing staff, ordering coffee and it being forgotten. We ended up going out to cafes for breakfast and good coffee the other three mornings we were there. The lunch/dinner menu was very pricy. This was all disappointing to us as we paid $220 AUS a night and the location was great, however if your into shopping and lots of variety with eateries this end is on the other end of the main beach so walking daily to the other end of busy markets and lots of food choices. We were disappointed with B-Lay Tong when reflecting value for money.
Nice hotel, just not fulfilling the potential of the place. We booked rooms and have upgraded so we will have Internet available and actually there was no Internet at all. The hotel staff could not provide a solution to this issue and dealt with only assured when in fact not treated at all. In addition, there is no activities, even the spa was not available during the day. Not so recommended Nice no more than that.
The B lay tong hotel is on the PATONG - BEAC 🛥🍺⚓️ The B lay tong hotel very good 👍🏼👌🏼the staff are very good , nice and polite , they wants to gives you the best time of your visit 😘⚓️ The PATONG - BEACH are near by the hotel so is very good , that you can't go and do sport and activities ⛵️🏊🏼🚣🏽♀️and enjoy a good sport sea , fishing , and other activities 🍺🍺🌈☀️
Had a super time at the B-Lay Tong. Great staff, very quiet part of Pattong, which was a blessing. The main drag is hell, well not for us. Cannot understand why people would stay at a hotel/resort next to that area. Pros..... - clean, large room. 1st floor, with balcony overlooking the gardens. All the rooms in the 3 blocks that that overlook the garden have a view of the slim lane pools that the ground floor rooms have access to. Room had recently been decorated I would suggest, as walls were were spotless. Lots of hot water, for the rainfall shower. Toilet always spotless. - fantastic pool area, water so warm. Overlooks beach, so the infinity affect flows from the pool to the sea. When bored at the pool, you can walk over the road the beach to swim in the even warmer sea. - breakfast very adequate. All you could want. Western flavours and Thai also. Staff very busy with cleaning tables and providing proper coffee from bean to cup machines. - lots of quiet, yet necessary maintenance happening, which is good to see, as some reviews are very critical of this. Cons.... - wifi hit and miss. Always experience this in resort hotels though. - could do with more sustained lounge / relaxing music at the pool. Some people would bring their own speakers and blast their music out for all to hear. Well had a couple of times. Luckily they played music you would associate with relaxing at a poolside. - the hotel need a fresh perspective on cleanliness of public areas. Look a bit grubby in places. Easily rectified by a person with a keen eye for detail. Areas I noted, were glass / plastic panes of areas, just need a good clean and polish. Next to the egg cooking station in the breakfast area, the glass in the doors behind it were covered in thick grease. Surfaces in public areas need a deep clean. Maybe get a power washer to do this and finish off with a good wipe down, not leaving streaks. Public area toilets immaculate though! Had a fantastic, relaxing team. Staff faultless in our eyes, could not do enough for you. Hospitality is always open to criticism, yet the hotel team are doing a great job. Would have NO hesitation in staying at the B-Lay Tongan the future.
