This resort within a resort offers the best of both worlds - access to big resort amenities (including a fantastic fitness center) in an exclusive yet relaxed setting, with amazingly personalized service. Everything was perfect, from check-in to the lobster salad from room service to perfectly choreographed departure. Prices may be high, but so is the value, with valet parking included in the resort fee and complimentary continental breakfast. Special kudos and thanks to Bryan at the front desk, the ultra friendly valets, and especially Jordan, for superlative service throughout my stay.
The room was large and very quiet. We had separate large tub and shower. A king size bed very comfy. There were 2 flat TV`s. One TV was in the bathroom , so you could soak and watch it. We had a pullout couch if neded for a bed and work table There was a lanai and small refrigerator. Room was extremely comfortable Every morning they brought a newspaper. We also had turn down service.Stephnie was like a concierge. She was extremely helpful with anything we needed. She was always pleasant and really seemed like she enjoyed her job.She served a bottle of wine and a cake for my Bday. All the emp-loyees were great and pleasant! A wonderful evironment.
We are the couple that travel a lot, read a lot and rarely review. Yet here we are feeling obligated to share our experience. In one word ..... exceptional. Since it wouldn’t be fair to mention those that stood out, all I’d like to say is Canyon Suites set the bar pretty high in Scottsdale/Phoenix. They’re still fresh off a fantastic updating throughout the facility. Large screen TV with Chrome Cast ability, led lighting, USB charging everywhere. Canyon Suites is a separate, quieter section to the Phoenician, with its own private pools, cabanas, lobby and guest ambassadors. If your considering the other big names in Scottsdale/Phoenix area, let me save you the trouble. Just book it. All day, everyday our ice water pitchers were refreshed every 20min, while we soaked up the sun. Complimentary rides back and forth to the Fashion Square, or waterfront via their GL550 Mercedes suv. Beds made exclusively for the luxury division of Marriot that you’ll want to take home with you. I can’t say enough good things, if you want to recharge and relax you won’t find and better place. True in form .....Oasis
I love how this is a private property on the Phoenician grounds. You walk into the lobby and feel like you are the only people staying there. By the end of day 1, we knew everyone by first name and considered them almost friends! The bar was beautiful, the food tasty and the service wonderful. We loved the small, intimate feel of this hotel. We will definitely be back.
The large oval shaped pool that opens 24 hours a day is perfect for some lap swimming after sundown in the summer - about 35 yards across. Best "small" breakfast with fresh fruits, and other well-thought-out items. Very pleasant stay.
My family and I went there a few weeks ago and we wanted to indulge ourselves a bit so we booked a room at the Canyon. apparently, no room has a bad view. Well, ours did. We originally booked room 8232 and it was a view of a cactus and some dirt patch on the golf course. My lifetime Bonvoy status wasn't enough to get an upgrade but the staff made accommodations to upgrade for a small fee. That was fine but one night we were at the outdoor Jacuzzi and ordered ice cream and some wine. This took over an hour and multiple phone calls. They comp'd my food but it wasn't a great experience. Overall nice people but several mistakes made.
We stayed here for our 40th anniversary. My husband had made special arrangements before our arrival with Brian to have a special floral arrangement delivered to our room so that it was waiting for us when we checked in. It was stunning! We were contacted before we arrived and asked if we had any particular beverages or snacks that we enjoyed so that they could arrange to have them waiting in our room. I do not think this service was offered because we were celebrating a special occasion. I believe they do this for all of the guests that check in here. As a guest you are assigned your own concierge who greets you when you arrive and has everything ready for you, but we always felt like we were a special guest. It takes a certain kind of person to be able to anticipate a guests needs and wishes and be ready to help them happen. Every employee we came in contact with at The Canyon Suites was absolutely top notch. We have Titanium Elite status with Marriott and on our profile in their system we have a few special requests for stays such as extra towels, feather pillows and a couple of other items. This is the FIRST time in all of the years we have been loyal Marriott customers that all of these requests have been made available to us without us having to ask for them. Some of the time it's not that big of a deal if the extra towels are not there or some of the other items. It was just really nice to know that someone had gone to the trouble to check and see what those were and then arrange for them to be in the room when we arrived. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite with a large balcony overlooking the golf course and the valley. It was so lovely to sit out on the balcony after dark and see the stars and the lights of the city in the distance. We spent some time at the pool, enjoyed the breakfast that was complimentary to Canyon Suites guests served in the lobby of the Suites building. We walked around the beautiful grounds and my husband spent some time with one of the property's professional gardeners learning about desert plants. We enjoyed a casual lunch over at The Phoenician's main building and ordered room service twice. The entire stay was wonderful thanks to the beautiful facilities and the amazing staff.
Wow!!! Wow!!! Wow!!! My wife and I have never been so relaxed and pampered. This place is “Top Notch” and they go above and beyond in every way possible. It is a bucket list item. You have to experience it. Logan checked us in and he was very personable, informative and escorted us to our room and pretty much went over everything. The Valet gentlemen were extremely nice and bent over backward. They’ll give you rides in golf carts or a vehicle all over the property. Our maid, which we never met, did a fantastic job. The room was immaculate and had every possible amenity you could ask for. Don’t like irons, hey we have a r rally nice steamer in every room. Bathroom was extremely nice. Huge walk in tiled shower. Vanities were beautiful. Huge, deep soaking tub. Last but not least, QUIET!!! We utilized the Phoenician Spa and it is hands down the nicest spa that we’ve ever been to. 1st class service and beyond. If you pay for any type spa service, you’ll have full use of the facility during your stay. My wife got a facial from Diane and Sharon gave me the Artisan Massage. Both were superb. The facilities were unbelievable nice. I don’t have enough time or words to describe the amenities there. Try the chocolate covered cherries or the Prickly Pear drink in the quiet area prior or after your service. The pool up top of the spa was very nice and guess what? Quiet! Stunning views! We ate while sitting at the spa pool. I had the Salmon Kabob and my wife had the Kafta Kabob. Delicious! Phoenician Spa is like the 8th wonder of the world! We ate breakfast each morning off to the side of the lobby in the Canyon Suites . Try everything, because it’s all good. Just be aware if you want to eat outside, make sure someone is with the food at all times because a handful of blackbirds and doves will gladly help themselves! LOL. The water flowing down the rocks by the outside seating makes for a stunning view. Especially with Camelback Mountain and the plants for a backdrop. All the food here is fantastic. Some is expensive, but it’s absolutely top notch as is the service. The pool at the Canyon Suites is great for a family, solo, or couples. Views are stunning. Poolside service is very good. All the drinks were soooo good. The entire resort is immaculate. We did not use the athletic club but it is a sight to behold. Beautiful facility with stunning views while you work out. We did a quick 3 day get away arriving on the 5th at 2:30pm and we are about to check out. If you want a top notch vacation spot for election and rejuvenation or family fun, DO NOT think twice. My wife and I have decided this will be an annual event for us now. Thank you to the Canyon Suites staff and the Phoenician Staff for making this stay a lasting memory!!
This is one off my all time new favorite luxury hotels. It feels like a home and the staff are amazing. It is small enough to not be overwhelming, but large enough to not feel crowded. The Phoenician hotel is adjacent to it, so that you use the amenities there and then return to your oasis next door. The beds are like a cloud, bathrooms are like a spa, the extras that come with the rooms are worth the price. The staff remembers you by name and always ask if you need anything when they see you. I truly will not stay anywhere else when traveling with my family in the Phoenix area.
This was our second trip to the Canyon Suites, we’ve come two years in a row in August. And while it’s hot, there is no comparing the Canyon Suites and their level of service anywhere else. From the time you drive up, the kind Bellmen (Steve, Patrick, Chase, Cody, and Damien) all greet you with a smile and eagerly ushering you into the gorgeous lobby. Inside you’ll meet a group of lovely and patient ambassadors (Kate, Stephanie, Cherish, Bryan, Jordan, and Amanda) who will do anything in their power to make your stay incredible. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. Loved the quick and easy access to the most relaxing and quiet pool ever. The staff by the pool were so nice and quick with everything (Jacqueline, Sarah, James and Al). Everything we ordered by the pool tasted delicious. We couldn’t have asked for a better week at the Canyon, especially because they are also so dog friendly, too. We just left and already cannot wait to return. You won’t regret your time and stay there.
