very nice overall stay, convenient to stadium. watch out for car service recommended by front desk staff. Very misleading. not a car service at all but a work type van, rough ride, not nice at all and very expensive. Front desk staff said cost would be split among all passengers but it was per couple and overpriced. Get Uber instead.
Nice stay. Close to Hockey Game. Only negative is we were charged $15.00 for Parking and then saw a sign advertising Parking for $10.00 about 15 minutes later. Breakfast Buffet was excellent. I
Best location for a Cards game, restaurants/bars and shopping
We choose this hotel because of its proximity to the Gila River Arena where the Minnesota Wild were going to be playing the Arizona Coyotes hockey team. It was clean, had friendly staff, a nice pool area and options for eating and drinking on site and nearby in Westgate. The prices were reasonable. We stayed at this hotel as a family of four with my wife and I as well as our 10 and 12-year old daughters. The bathroom counter and sink area was a little small but that might only be because of the three females in my room! Our family would recommend this hotel.
From the moment I entered the hotel lobby, I immediately relaxed. The place really smelled wonderful-- like I was entering a first class spa. The staff was on the spot, the room was beautiful, and I loved the bathroom items-- my favorite brand! Not only were the bed and pillows super comfortable, but the place was really quiet and I had no trouble sleeping. I was shocked that a live person actually called me for my wake up call! I actually kind of loved that. In addition, the location was outstanding, with loads of shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. You simply couldn't drive and get a better parking spot. Will absolutely return to this hotel!
Everything was great. Except one thing. We had bad experience with one staff at the front desk. Very bad attitude the lady at the front.
Great hotel to stay on the west side of town and enjoy spring training. The hotel was very nice, clean, and comfortable. A little high in price but the convienance made it worth it. West gate is a bit of a let-down as a party area but dinner at Yardhouse was fantastic.
Live in South Carolina and stopped in Phoenix on my way back from Maui, to watch my favorite lifetime team. AZ Cardinals. Arrived about 8:30 AM and was able to get a room. Walk to the stadium was only about 5 minutes. Room and view of the stadium was awesome. Breakfast buffet was great and for a 4 star hotel, priced reasonably.($16). Will return next year for a game.
This hotel was first class all the way. Very nice rooms and facilities.
Great views, comfortable bed ,good coffee and food.
very nice place for the money. location was perfect for the game, and shopping. i will def be staying there any time we go for another football game.
We wanted to stay somewhere close to the Cardinals Stadium, and this one is the closest one. We were able to walk to the stadium and later went to the bars in the area and walked to the room. It's great to be able to not have to worry about driving, or look for parking. In turn, the rooms are great, and the bar staff are very friendly and fun. They had a dj playing in the lobby when we were checking in and they were providing free tacos to the guests as they arrived. It was a very inviting and warm welcome to accompany the fame that night. The front desk staff could be a little more friendly. Or maybe just the lady that we got? But over all we would stay here again. The bed was fabulous!
it was very clean and friendly staff could of used more ammenities when you have three people they give enough for one. did not like we had to pay ten dollars for parking did not expect that and felt stuck
Love to stay here after a show, it's right by the venue and all the bars and restaurants. Plus the parking alone is worth it, it,s right by the arena Staff is friendly, the rooms are nice. The only thing I miss is late night room service, which would be great for after going out. All said, I really enjoy staying here.
I was excited for my stay but shortly disappointed. First, it took over 30 minutes to check in. There some issue with making my reservation not made directly through them. Second, there was a WI-FI fee of $12.95 a day?! Which seemed ridiculous since most all places offer it for free. Third, there was $10 self parking fee that was required, otherwise you risked being towed. The room didn't feel very clean since there was a couple of stains on the bedding and last you had to provide your entire contact information in order to get a couple of pool towels. I will never stay at the Renaissance again.
Perfect location for events at the arena or stadium in Glendale. Park the car and never drive again while you're there! Amazing restaurants and shops in the plaza. Had a problem when loud neighbors came in at 2AM, but the staff took care of it before we even could call the desk. Will definitely stay there again for the next game.
It was a very nice place. Clean room, comfy beds. Really nice surprise was that we had a balcony (overlooking a parking lot though). The coffee in the room was not the best quality. One plus was that the coffee condiments were not all in one package, so nothing was wasted (most have that combined packet, so if you use the stirrer you have to toss the sugar, etc). Nice patio. Friendly staff. We were there for a game, so I was not surprised to see loud fans in team shirts. But the room itself was quiet in spite of the crowds. We ate breakfast in the restaurant but not the buffet - it was very good, but took forever. Too bad they spent more time cooking for the buffet rather than individual dishes.
Awesome hotel walking distance from westgate area and Arizona Cardinal stadium. Would definitely cone back.
We stayed at the hotel after attending a football game and had a great time. We enjoyed the on-site lounge and food at the restaurant was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was lovely. Beatiful decor. Our room was huge and the bed and bedding were very comfortable. The only drawback of our king size bed & whirlpool room was that we didn't have a balcony. Would have been nice to open the doors in the early morning or late evening. Maid very friendly. Barstaff excellent - above and beyond - bought us a birthday & anniversary cake! Person on the day of checkout seemed stressed but overall still friendly.
