Overall a fine property, however we had significant problems with the home that the owner could not have foreseen. No hot water the first night due to water heater breaking. The owner quickly replaced this within 24 hours, but we were without running water for several hours and no hot water our first night/morning. The home flooded the second night due to heavy rain and a blocked drain on the roof, waking us at 3 am with flooding throughout the house. This also caused all fire alarms to go off at 4 am. The ceiling partially collapsed on a family member due to being severely water-logged. We spent half the night trying to keep our belongings from being damaged/trying to preserve the owners belongings/communicating with the owner/disabling fire alarms. These are unforeseen circumstances but there was no offer of a partial refund despite the significant hardships we had to deal with. It’s poor form to charge full price when such significant problems occurred during our stay.
