Loved, loved, loved this hotel! I booked this hotel 4 days before travelling to Bali. It exceeded my expectations! After booking the hotel I received an email from Dash asking me for for my flight details to know what time they can expect my arrival. At at arrival I was welcomed by staff, making sure my luggage was carried from my taxi to the hotel lobby. 15 Minutes after arriving in my room I receive a phone call from the front desk checking to see if everything is satisfactory. I had the Dash Deluxe suite. During my first stay with breakfast, but during my second stay I decided to not include breakfast as there are so many cool places around the area (cafe Organic, Fat Turtle) with delicious options for breakfast. It is a design hotel with great design. I loved all the details. The first night everything from the minibar is complementary, afterwards 2 bottles of water and fresh fruit per day are complementary. The hotel has a professional spa with good massages (ask for Dewi is you like firm massages!) and a small gym with basic equipment. The rooftop bar is perfect alternative for the beach if you want to get a tan.
At first, I stayed in a studio room and DID NOT LIKE this hotel at ALL. It reminded me of being trapped in a scene from a Tim Burton movie, meets Keith Herring 1980's artwork, meets an extreme LSD trip. I just didn't GET the upside down rabbit- the CARTOON ARTWORK (Spiderman?) next to the oversized faces...and most of all, the DARKNESS of the hallways made me feel like I was living in a cave that was going to turn into a nightmare any second. However, for my 3rd night, I switched to a 1 bedroom suite (only $5 more US online!) and the skies opened up to the weird drug trip glory! The 1 bedroom room is AWESOME. The tub COULDN'T be cooler, the shower & tub sliding glass doors, pretty darn cool, the layout- all exciting, open and new! I don['t know how I went from nightmare to dream space but I did. DEFINITELY get the 1 bedroom suite & save your vacation. The pool is WACK, but you knew that already if you read the other reviews, and a huge jacuzzi has been installed on the rooftop but...it's cold? Btw, the all u can eat made-to-order breakfast is almost worth staying at this place ALONE. I mean WHEN have u ever been able to order FROM A MENU all U can eat? DO include that option! Anyway, the location is fantastic, the suite room great. Go for that, and if all the weird comic art doesn't throw you off, you'll be fine. Staff is very helpful too. :)
