To book through Expedia, better choose pay in advance, to pay at the front desk, there will another 5% credit cards fee. But overall, the hotel is very good, nice location to the ticket office and bus, and people are nice.

Caution - We booked at Tara Machu Picchu, but when we arrived, we were moved to a nearby hotel, Retama Machu Picchu. After searching online, it seems Tara is the better hotel. I was disappointed with the bait-and-switch. Customer Service at Retama was great. Breakfast and the lobby area were ok.
