I stayed at this hotel for a week whilst visiting Perth for the Rugby League World Cup. It is a really nice place to stay whilst in Perth. It is located in a perfect position, only a ten minutes walk to the city centre and Elizabeth Quay. There are bus stops outside the hotel and taxis are available from the hotel grounds. There is a nice gym and small swimming pool on site, and the hotel bar is very nice. During the bar 'happy hour', various food items are supplied free of charge. The staff are very efficient and helpful. The breakfast is buffet style but there is lots of choice. There is an egg station where various types of eggs and omelettes are made. This can be slow so be prepared to wait a while ...... overall, an excellent hotel to stay in.
I was here for one night on business and this hotel room was certainly very nice without anything really standing out. It is relatively convenient to the city which is only a couple of blocks away. When travelling for business it is worth it when the price is reasonable
Great location in Perth, near the city centre, bars and good restaurants. There is a park nearby and the hotel is close to the bus terminal,. The hotel was comfortable and roomy hotel. I'd stay here again.
Stayed for 2 weeks for work. Duxton is in an excellent location only a short 10 minute walk away from my work and shopping. Writing this review to compliment the staff - they were all amazing especially Sam from room service, everyone made it feel like a home away from home. Will be staying here for work again in a week's time.
The hotel is very average. Staff are good and efficient. Location of the hotel is its best feature, right in the heart of the business district and walking distance to the malls. With the number of new hotels due to open in Perth over the next 24 months, this hotel will need to reduce its price.
I was so comfortable the seating was great the service good well timed and all my A la Cart e choices were pork belly , Scallops and Jus maybe a little Roe too 9/10 steak great and The Dessert was Blissful great quality Drinks too the kind of drinks that really don't run out during your meal!! Top Tracks Food too. Made my night. A big AHAH (yes from me)
First visit to the Duxton . We booked a club room and we were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel . The Club room was very luxurious with great views of the Swan and the food and drink very good . The staff we attentive and helpful . We have already booked our next stay . Well worth a visit !
The Duxton is very convenient right next to the Concert Hall and close to Government House and the courts. There are bus stops right outside (buses in the CBD are free!) and some rooms have beautiful views of the Swan River. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very courteous and efficient. Unusually for a hotel the lighting in the room and bathroom was excellent. The bed was very comfortable but we didn't like the pillows. All the pillows that were on the pillow menu seemed to be foam with no feather/down pillows listed which in a 5* hotel is not good. In the room was one armchair and one desk chair, a desk, TV etc. and free internet. Also a safe. There was a fridge and an electric jug. Full cream milk supplied but we obtained semi-skim milk. Not many people use full cream milk these days! The bathroom had a walk in good shower. The mirror was well lit but the bath was old-fashioned and low. It was plastic so slippery with no grab handles. That is our only complaint. We didn't eat breakfast as it wasn't included but there is a super Dome cafe opposite. We were disturbed in the early hours by door slamming..selfish guests not the hotel's fault. This was on both nights. An excellent idea - we had free newspapers. Very happy about that. We can recommend this hotel.
I stayed for a week for a training course. It is the first time I had to leave my husband and son for work purposes and I was apprehensive. The staff made me feel welcome and special from the minute I arrived to the minute I left. On arrival my car door was opened and luggage got out of the car by Brian. He was so welcoming and helpful. Checking in was easy and friendly. I stayed in a king deluxe room and it was lovely, spacious, clean and well appointed. The bed was comfy and they had a pillow menu.I had free wifi and Foxtel in my room. The concierge bought my luggage up and put my suit bag in the closet. My room was attended to daily and it was always spotless. All the staff were great and I went to the restuarant for dinner and breakfast daily. I was always made to feel special and comfortable. The gym was very well equipped and I also used this on a daily basis. The last day I was actually blown away when I walked in and the concierge Eduard greeted me by name as I didn’t think I’d dealt with him before. he organised my luggage that they had been holding and asked if I needed a taxi. As I was waiting to be picked up, he put my luggage on the rack and told me to take a comfy seat while I waited. Well done Duxton Hotel. You guys were awesome and I am looking forward to my next stay with you.
I stayed at the Duxton two nights for a business meeting. Absolutely nothing I could fault them on! Lovely facilities, very clean, spacious room and bathroom, stylish decor, choice of pillows, attentive concierge and quick check in and out! Great location with cafes and food choices close by! I wiould definitely stay here again!
