The condition of 2 bedroom deluxe cabin was bad. Sofa torn and sinking down. Wardrobe stains and smelly. Very weak wifi signal. Double deck metal bed frame at bedroom 2 very shaky and uncomfortable to sleep. Showering water temperature suddenly changes from hot to cold, cold to hot. 1 toilet roll for 2 nights, a deluxe cabin that can accommodate 5 pax. Not recommended for family stay at deluxe cabin.
Hi i have now stayed at this park several times now. I stayed over the September Long weekend on a non powered site. The staff are very friendly. I am actually a local and live in Morley and didn't want to travel far. I felt like i was 2 hours away from home. Enjoyed looking out across to the open space paddocks. Being close to the road didn't bother me as i put some ear plugs in at night to block out the road noise and the road isn't busy late at night. The amenities is always cleaned each day. The camp Kitchen has everything you need. I have driven past the other caravan parks that are nearby and they in my opinion look very depressing and old. The staff were very helpful when i booked. Check in was very easy and the same for checkout. I look forward to my next stay and highly recommend trying this place. Keep up the good work staff.
I stayed for one night in a standard studio cabin. At first glance I was fairly happy with the place overall - it wasn’t bad for $120 for the night, and it is a great location, not far from the airport/the city and right on the door step of the Swan Valley. But the cabin itself wasn’t great. The bathroom was tiny. The shower and toilet were clean, but the sink had burn marks in the basin, like people had been smoking and extinguished cigarettes on the sink or similar. The sink had a small shelf above it, making it impossible to get your head close to the sink to wash your face/brush your teeth without getting water everywhere. The sink was also blocked so water would back up in the basin, which was off putting. There was also an ironing board and other large items stored beside the toilet, making it feel like a storage cupboard. The mini bar had chunks of remnants from previous guests in it, and I’m not talking items left behind, but like something had leaked on the shelves and in the small freezer, and not been cleaned up properly. One of the blinds did not open as the chain to pull it up had come off, and all of the blinds, blind chains and fittings (four in total) were grimy and dusty, with dust flying off when pulled up. The security screen door wouldn’t shut properly, and the main door felt so flimsy that I didn’t have a great sense of security, especially when there were neighbours screaming profanities at 5am. There was reverse cycle air conditioning, but I don’t like to sleep with a heater on, and I found out the hard way that there were no extra blankets available anywhere in the cabin, so I only got about 4 hours sleep because I was so cold through the night, despite wearing pjs, jumper and bed socks. The corners of the floors hadn’t been cleaned properly, and the light switches and power points were grimy and dusty. I know it was a standard cabin, and the deluxe cabins may be better quality, and I thought for $120 you can’t expect too much, but then again, $120 isn’t super cheap either, and for a little more, you could get a hotel room elsewhere. It is bearable for a short stay, and the bed was fairly comfortable, but I think there just needs to be a bit of extra attention to the smaller things by the cleaners. I work in tourism so I pay attention to things like that.
This place is lovely. We’re here for a quick overnighter for business and wish we had longer to explore. The villa is so spacious and clean and in excellent condition. Will definitely be bringing the kids here for a little vacay ❤️
A group of 20+ riders had booked to stay here as part of a charity ride around Australia & at the time of booking, we were offered free accommodation. We were later advised that this was the doings of a rouge ex-employee, However, the Manager honoured this arrangement even though I had booked via Booking.com & intended to pay. This was very unexpected & a well above and beyond expectations. The accommodation itself was Chalet/Cabin style, roomy, very clean & well appointed. Discovery Park Swan Hill is now my go to stop when traveling in the area, exceptional service, lovely people & fantastic accommodation.
Friendly, cooperative staff. Clean amenities. Neat and tidy. We had an ensuite powered site next to the vineyard next door. We were very happy with our stay. The second night we didn't worry about the planes, They don't actually fly overhead but you can see them. The park is close to many attractions and next door to a Winery, Ciderhouse, Brewery with Pizza oven and a Restaurant.
I love this property and have spent over $40,000 dollars staying there over the last 5 yrs however last visit was moved from disabled which I booked to a standaard room which as i am disabled didnt work very well .I was very disappointed and I think disabled bookings shouldnt be altered for anything other than like for like. Loyalty works both ways and sometimes large companies forget that . Saving money on cleaning could cost more in the long run
We always stay the new cabins are great the staff wonderful and pleased to see you arrive they go out of their way to accommodate my disability every visit and greet every guest with genuine manners and professional attitude ,keep up the great work
We recently stayed in a modern 2 bedroom cabin. The cabin was spacious and each bedroom and the lounge room had separate air conditioners. There was a good undercover space to park the car. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful, eg the cabin did not have a hair dryer but reception obtained one for us. We were located quite near the road which was busy during the day but it was not noisy of a night. Highly recommend the patisserie/restaurant across the road. There are other good restaurants within 5 minutes driving in Guildford where you can also get a train to the city which takes approximately 5 minutes.
Stayed on night recently while working in the area in a single cabin. The cabin was fresh & clean & quit modern. The check in was efficient & only a short walk from the park to a nearby restaurant for dinner. I would stay again with family as a base to explore the Swan Valley.
