My first time staying in a motel & it was a lovely experience. We only stayed one night before catching a flight to Bali. Staff super helpful & friendly. Rooms clean with everything you need. Highly recommend.
We had a good room with views between 2 new tower blocks down to a grass area and the Swan River. We had a kitchen area which included rings and a m/wave. Reception had several vending machines. There is a bar where you can eat freshly prepared food at reasonable prices. The same kitchen also serves a more full-on restaurant, but we didn't use it. The buffet breakfast was pretty standard and fine, but on the 2 mornings we were there they didn't replenish empty juice or finished brown bread. The hotel has a decent location 10min walk from the CBD and just inside the free bus zone. Set your expectations when you choose this hotel. If you're ready for place to sleep where you can be safe and get decent food (and free wifi) but don't expect hotel style decoration and facilities, this will serve you very well. So for that market and that target audience I think it's pretty good.
The hotel is close to the heart of the city. Wi-Fi is free and within the free bus service in the city. The room was self contained however does not ha a full size fridge. The parking is included but only limited. So i had to pay extra for parking. I would not stay here again
If you want a posh hotel with modern features, this isn’t it. The place is dated, very dated. That’s the downside. Apart from that, it really is great. Looks like an 80s prison from the inside but it has everything you need. The rooms are big, clean and airy. The staff are brilliant too. Very helpful. I got room for 2weeks with breakfast and parking. If you want a base to put you stuff in plus somewhere clean, safe and close to the city .. 10min walk, this is the place
I stayed overnight at the Goodearth and could find no fault with the hotel. It is on direct bus routes to the airport and short walking distance to the Swan River & Perth CBD. It is very reasonably priced, the room was clean & of adequate size and the bed comfortable. The buffet breakfast served downstairs in the dining room was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful with any queries. I was on the sixth floor & had a small balcony.
I stayed recently as my conference was held at the Goodearth. The room was comfortable, but very basic and quite small. I'm glad I was on my own as it would have been crowded if I had my husband with me! Had to park on the street as car park was full. Not happy about that. The facilities in the hotel are great. Good breakfast and great bar with good food. Staff were very friendly and reception open 24 hours. For the price, it's well worth it. I'd stay there again, but probably only if I was on my own and only for a night. Oh, I did find hairs on the bathroom floor - ugh, they weren't mine....
The room was dirty. I found broken glass on the floor next to the bed. The bathroom was dirty. The service was just plain rude. The only saving grace was the overnight reception. He went out of his way to make sure I got what I needed.
Very impressed with The Goodearth's food options. Arriving later at night, we grabbed a light meal at the cafeteria. The next morning we were off early for a tour, so grabbed a food to go packet ($9 ea). Other nights we availed ourselves of the restaurant option. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen enabled you to prepare breakfast and a light meal. The hotel is in a central Perth location within easy walking distance of CBD and shops. Transperth bus from airport drops you right at your doorstep.
We spent three nights here and found the room spacious and clean with good quality bathroom linen. Even had TWO face cloths. Thursday and Friday nights were quiet, but 'zero tolerance' for noise was not enforced on Saturday night as a rowdy argument continued for a prolonged period overnight. A word of warning if you plan to use Choice Hotel vouchers...... staff are not trained in how to process them. Checkout however was smooth, but we had given prior warning that we wished to use vouchers. The restaurant on the ground floor is convenient and offers room service or pickup.
Overpriced, Old, tired, dark and sparsely furnished. Minimal bed linen/pillows, uncomfortable bed. Bathroom so small couldn't even fully open the shower door. Balcony was just a space for the aircon unit. Kitchen had 2 hot plates and no bench space for even the kettle had to rest it on the hot plate!!!! Horrible lighting no power point in bedroom. Luckily we were only there briefly as not a nice place to be. Only good thing was free underground parking.
