After flying in from Italy we needed a well located non complicated stay in Perth to catch up with our daughter for a couple of nights prior to flying home to regional NSW. This spot fitted the bill on all fronts.
My wife and I recently stayed here for 6 nights after never having bee nto Perth. We found the location to be perfect and very central to the cbd and within walkimg distance to the mall and restuarants. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable with my wife even commenting that she woke up confused as she thought we were back home as the bed was so comfy. The room had a spa bath which my wife relaxed in a few times. We parked at the hotel carpark purely for convenience and found it to be a tight squeeze getting in and out however we still managed. It would have been great to be able to use our room key to access the carpark rather than buzzing reception each time we returned. There was a limited room service selection but with many restaurants and shops nearby we got by. Overall the staff were very helpful and friendly and willing to help in any way possible. Would highly recommend staying here on a visit to Perth
Good location to explore central Perth but rooms are dated and require maintenance. Staff was also rather cold towards guests. Great thing is that the new manager had a lot of initiative in seeking feedback and I hope to hear of improvements in the near future.
In town for work... first time at this property. Well located on the terrace and a really nice morning walk up to Kings Park which is a great way to start the day. My room was pretty good with a small kitchen and a big bathroom. Bed was comfy and there was a desk with a whole bunch of power points and USB ports. Room was a good size and had a nice sized TV. Only downsides were that the room was pretty dark (one window that looked out to the internal void), no exhaust fan in the bathroom (steamed up quickly) and the common area outside the room was an echo chamber so you really know about it when others come in late. All in all it was a good stay and I would stay here again.
Great location in the centre of the city just a short walk from buses, trains and ferries. Very comfortable and well'll laid out apartment. The only thing I would fault would be the temperature. There is a noisy vent (that you can't close up), that introduced icy cold air into the room. The only way to counter that was to set the air con to 30 degrees, which is not how I like to sleep!
The room was booked at a last minute discounted rate so I wasn't too disappointed at one of the rooms being smaller and the bathrooms not being anything like the photos (they're comparable with a hospital bathroom - clean and functional but not a place of relaxation). When it came to checkout, I was asked to pay despite my card having been debited two days prior on check in. As such, given that I had paid for two rooms for 2 nights, I didn't have money left in my debit account so paid using a credit card. I was told that the money would go straight back into my debit account so paid, despite feeling uncomfortable. Checked my bank today after having my card declined for grocery shopping and the money hadn't gone back in. Called the hotel and was told that they'd need to fax the bank and get the bank to release the funds which will take another few working days! Not happy at all!!!
Clean, quiet, centrally located and with friendly staff, this is a good option for business travellers who want a nice, quiet bed for the night. About the only downside is having to lift your luggage up the stairs to get up to the reception area, but that's really the only negative.
Citadines is quite centrally located as it's a short walk to the pedestrianised shopping streets. It is also a 15 minute walk to Kings Park. When you get out of the hotel, turn left and keep walking straight until you see the Channel 9 building, then turn left and keep walking until you see the park sign, The park is well worth a visit. As for Citadines, the room itself was nice enough. It was clean and housekeeping did a good job each day. We had the room with the jacuzzi which was strangely located in the living room rather than the bathroom of our flat. The jacuzzi was great but once you turned it on, forget about watching the tv. The kitchen was equipped well enough to make breakfast and simple meals. It isn't as well equipped as, say, the Citadines in Kyoto or Tokyo. The microwave placed above the cooker was a bit inconvenient as it was above my head, which made removing hot soups or gravy from the microwave a little unnerving. The bed was too soft but that seems to be a thing in Australia. The little sofa by the window in the corner was very comfortable and made the room feel quite cosy and homey. If you are on a business or work trip, the table is quite large enough to spread your stuff and laptop. It can also double as a dining table. I wish the room had two proper chairs rather than a chair and a stool. In all, we had a pleasant stay in Citadines and would stay again there if we were in Perth.
It's nice, Location is perfect if you like to be at the CBD, bedding is nice, Nice receptionists, The only drama is Parking, They won't guaranty you get a parking even if you paid for that. The company booked three nights for me and I had to park somewhere else for first night while I had two luggage and dragged them to the hotel
