We spent 4 nights here during our last visit and thoroughly appreciated the location - convenient and accessible to Perth city and connected to major roads. It can get a little noisy as it is just opposite major roads. Staff were helpful, but we were a little miffed as we arrived later than the typical check-in hours and somewhat struggled to get hold of our keys that were kept in a password protected safe box. Otherwise our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. Would return in future trips!
I would recommend this as an ULTIMATE UTMOST last minute resort / option. If there is sort of absolutely nowhere else for you to go then definitely stay here. Overnight is good. But if staying more than one night expect to not have your room tended to No clean towels, new soaps or sheets changed neither rubbish. Expect rubbish to be kept in kitchen and unserviced =) Overall. The beds are very comfy and the blankets are lovely along with the pillows.
Spend your money ELSEWHERE... Don't bother booking out an apartment at Waterside. It was a HUGE waste of money and a very unpleasant stay. I only booked because I had seen reviews which looked promising but after spending time here I realised that the only people who would've written such nice reviews would be them themselves because they DID NOT clean the apartment in FOUR WHOLE DAYS! 4 DAYS! SERIOUSLY! Me & my partner along with 16yo were mortified at the fact that there was no clean sheets, or rubbish taken or even toilet paper!! Not to mention no new towels or even a simple soap was given. Please do not waste your money. You'll be better off in a TENT!! Another thing to note is... car parking. Their driveways and parking areas are EXTREMELY tight and very close so expect someone to either scrape your car or you scraping it along the building or else face having your side mirror whacked by another car driving passed your vehicle. . PROS - They have a clean fridge, dishwasher and microwave.
We had a two room aoartment for 2 night. All good. As stated by others, the apartments can be noisey thanks to the freeway and trains out front. I didn't find it unbareable and we were right at the front. There is an issue in just stairs to access the floors as we had a number of super heavy bags but we managed. The apartment is quite spacious and pizza delivery for a couple of friends in the lounge was no hassle. The recpetion is not 24 hour and you need to make provision for that. Reasonably well appointed, it had pretty much everything except not enough towel hanging space in the bathroom, a lack of instruction on the washer/dryer which was unbalanced and we fixed it ourselves but alerted them to the issue. The wifi is rubbish. The rooms could be a little cleaner. All in all, good. I recommend it and would use it again.
I booked here as they had a special on and one of my kids was having a last minute surgery close by. I went in early and explained my circumstances and arranged to do all the paperwork as I would have a sick child with me when I got back. After returning and collecting the key I had the pleasure of walking up 2 flights of stairs to the 3rd floor carrying my sick child. Then returning to drag up our luggage. Upon entering our level an alarm could be heard a few rooms over. I reported it reception. An hour and a half later I rang them again to ask when it would be turned off. This time I was transferred to the night desk (it had just turned 6pm), the staff member was at another property but was very helpful and the alarm was sorted out 25mins later. The room itself was fine. The location was easily accessible but noisy due to the freeway in front of it. The staff onsite didn't really seem to care that much. If there ever was a next time I would firmly request a lower floor.
Take note of the reception hours, it's not 24/7. We arrived 15 min after closing. Reception staff would not register us even when she was around and told us to call after hours manager. The building is 3 stores and doesn't have elevators. Carrying our luggages up the stairs was very challenging. Weak wifi reception.
My family and I stayed at the property for a week in April. The location worked for us because it is close to the ferry that takes you directly to the city, the zoo which we wanted to visit, and friends of ours live nearby. The apartment was somewhat dated but that was not a problem. It was clean and met our needs. The kitchenette was well appointed, and the washer and drier worked well. Staff responded quickly to any requests we made. Parking is plentiful, but accessing spots is a squeeze in the tight alleys. The main problem was the incessant noise from the adjoining freeway. Unless you are a heavy sleeper, used to slumbering by the roadside it will keep you awake. Another issue is the lack of telephone contact after hours. If you call the apartment number after hours you are transferred through another Assured property, which was a real inconvenience as we were visiting from overseas, and relied on local phones for communication. The apartment was cleaned only infrequently, and towels were not replaced while I was there, which seems a bit substandard. At the moment there are no grocery stores nearby since the local shopping centre has been demolished ahead of a high rise being built. Buying groceries require a car or a long walk now. In summary, we were disappointed with our stay at the Assured, and will think twice about staying there again.
This was our first stay at Assured Waterside Apartments, but it certainly wont be our last. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable. Everything we needed was on hand for cooking etc. The complex is secure which was great for both us and the car. The Ferry Jetty is only a short walk away to get into the City. Would highly recommend.
Stayed for 2 weeks for work. Very friendly workforce. Clean and tidy place, cleaning is done twice a week. Enough space for three people. Good for a family, seen a few at the place. Has a double and a single bed. My apartment was at the back therefore not much of a view, the front may be better but will have to put up with the noise. A bit noisy for my liking even at the back due to the location, next to a major freeway. Free Wi-FI access but not a secure connection, I used my own.Ample parking.
I stayed at this apartment style hotel for three nights with my son. It was a great size - a main room with ensuite and a single bed in the living area (note it wasn't a sofa bed). There was a full kitchen, laundry and living area and a balcony overlooking the garden from the main bedroom. The apartment was large and the price was great. Also wifi and parking were free which are often an additional cost in Perth. The biggest disadvantage was the noise. The hotel is located right next to the freeway and as a result traffic noise is constant. However all of the appliances in the hotel are also noisy - the microwave, the fridge the exhaust fan in the bathroom. These appliances could be updated. The other disadvantage is that the person sleeping on the single bed has to go through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom which has a very annoying self closing door. Would I stay here again - probably not. If you are a heavy sleeper and are used to city noise (I am a country person) then it is a good price, with parking and large rooms.
