Stayed here with my family for a short break last Saturday. Brilliant staff, especially Michelle from housekeeping and William in the restaurant. Our kids loved the pool which we pretty much had to ourself both days. We stayed in room 107 and the views were amazing. Don't be put off by reviews saying that the hotel is in need refurbishment. There are areas that could do with a little work but nothing major. The food is excellent and the waiting staff very attentive. We will definitely be back to this great authentic Scottish Hotel.
Friendly helpful staff, made check in and check out easy. Great room with full facilities. Exceptional loch and mountain view. Live sport in the lounge bar - always a bonus !!! Excellent quality food in the restaurant. Nothing to moan about !!!
As with the first time we stayed in Feb 2018 we had a great time. Staff were friendly, attentive and polite. Views from room were stunning thanks to the hotel's breathtaking location. Would have no hesitation recommending hotel to family and friends.
Stayed two nights B&B with dinner on the first night. Dinner in the bar was fine but not cheap. Room was small with a view of the loch and the high step into the bath for a shower would not suit many older people. Breakfast was good and very well served unlike our last visit to a Macdonald Hotel. It has a great location but as I said earlier it is in need of a good update and the Leisure is in a separate building from the Hotel.
Great few nights spent at Macdonald Loch Rannoch. Room spacious and clean with a great view. Great choice of food on menus for either main restaurant or lounge bar. Friendly and very helpful staff. Will go back. 👍
A slightly strange review - we didn't actually stay. We were booked in for a one night stay whilst walking in Perthshire. Chose hotel because of leisure facilities in which to unwind after longing trek. On day of travel I received a phone message from member of staff advising that facilities were shut at weekend due to unforeseen safety issue. I really did appreciate the call to let us know ( and allow us to make alternative arrangements). This spared us a 40 mile round trip off the A9 to arrive and be disappointed. Well done - hope the problem is fixed soon. Will definitely keep hotel in our travel plans.
We stayed one night to celebrate my daughters birthday. We could not fault the room which was clean and a good size, staff friendly and helpful or the food. The view from our room was wonderful. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Bathroom unclean and uneven flooring I am disabled and tripped several times. No hot water no soap toilet stained. I couldn’t have a showere as no grabbrail for me. My husband tried to have a shower and could not as no hot water. !!!!!
Hotel was situated in a great location to enjoy the fabulous countryside and walks. Staff very helpful with great local knowledge. Thefood was great we used the bar as the atmosphere was better to eat and relax. Enjoyable stay
We visited this hotel for the first time for 2 days away. Our room was on the first floor with stunning views over Loch Rannoch and the hills including Schiellion covered in snow Room was large with a soffa, chair, coffe table and plenty of storage in fitted mirror wardrobe. Large bathroom. All was clean and comfortable. Excellent food in the restaurant with very good service. Due to medical problem I have food allergies with exceptional help from Konrad who made my mealtime choices easy. The short walk to Kinloch Rannoch village is by way of an offroad walkway. There is a small shop and we had a plentiful lunch in the Riverbank Cafe. There is choice of walks in and around the village and more more of a challenge in the nearby hills. A billiant stay.
