You get what you pay for, and it is still very much a budget proposition of-course, but this is the best HIX I've stayed at. Super friendly, professional and upbeat staff both during check-in and breakfast hours the following morning. Quiet rooms with lots of space and plenty of parking. Would visit again.
Just come back from a four day stay at Perth using this hotel as our base. We stayed during the coldest and whitest week of the year! The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful and during this time went out of their way to help stranded guests. The hotel is clean and rooms are sufficient for short stays. The breakfast buffet was better than I expected plenty of everything . The free Wi-fi throughout the Hotel was as stated in some places when you get to your room the wi fi fades but not here and surprisingly fast. Ample free parking and a fantastic restaurant next door for other meals.
Welcoming staff on arrival, check in was very smooth. The room was adequate with an excellent level of cleanliness. The bathroom was a fair size with a large shower. Breakfast was fine, plenty of basic options to choose from. Conveniently located to a pub next door that does decent meals.
Always stay here when in Perth as it’s always to a good standard, the staff are super efficient and really pleasant and the rooms are sufficient and always get a good nights sleep This hotel is really reasonably priced and I don’t think it can be beaten on all round quality and the breakfast is good
Room was somewhat basic, but was perfectly clean and adequate. Breakfast is fine but limited (but the restaurant next door does an amazing breakfast). Staff were polite and helpful. Overall it fitted the bill for an overnight in Perth.
We spent two nights here over the new year Very welcoming staff on arrival We had the disabled room on the ground floor excellent bathroom with walk in shower Amazing pillows and comfortable bed .Breakfast was a good variety I loved the bread for toast and the toaster worked better than others I have tried all in all lovely breakfast everything you required .Second time we have stayed here and will do so again as its a nice relaxed hotel
Stayed for three nights on business. The hotel was perfect for my stay. Breakfast was taken in a communal area near reception. The food was buffet style, well presented, with a good choice. The room was good and of a fair size, typical of a Holiday Inn Express. The hotel is close to the main A9 with plenty of onsite car parking. Hotel staff were really helpful throughout my stay. For three nights I ate in the restaurant/pub next door which was also very good but busy.
This is the third week in a row we are welcomed with friendly helpful staff. There is always a bowl of water and a mat for our wee dog And it gets cheaper the more we use it , dinner downstairs have a pint get a lovely breakfast . Easy acess to Perth towm centre and the A9 .
Chosen for location (en route from Inverness to Newcastle) the hotel accommodation was good - comfortable room, well soundproofed - and a good restaurant next door. The only issue was the literal coach party that was also staying at the hotel - having been told at check in that they’d be breakfasting at 8am we were encouraged to eat at 9am but in fact that’s when the coach party actually turned up to eat. The kitchen staff did a valiant effort to keep up but we ended up not being able to avail ourselves of the cooked breakfast and also were then late leaving for the rest of our journey. I’m not sure that the hotel staff could have done things very much differently, apart from perhaps marshalling the breakfast area better and making sure that other guests were not disadvantaged by the large party. All guests should receive equal thought.
It was cold in November but this hotel in Perth was warm and welcoming. All staff were extremely lovely and pleasant. The hotel is a wee distance from town centre but the good thing is there is plenty of parking which doesn't cost. The other central hotels have costly parking charges. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel door which will take you into the town centre. The hotel was very quiet although appearred to be busy. The rooms were of a good standard and very warm which we were welcome of as it was a cold couple of nights. Free wifi throughout with a strong signal. Varied selection of tv channels. Good comfy beds witha choice of soft or firm pillows. The breakfast which is included in the price was very good with choice of cornflakes, granola, porridge, yogurt, fruit. There was bread, croissants, muffins and a toaster also baps for you to grab and go if you are short on time. Hot items were suasage, scrambled egg, beans and bacon. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate for drinks. Lots of choices to indulge at breakfast. There is a restaurant/pub next door, a petrol station across the road selling Marks and Spencers food and a shopping centre a 10 mins walk with Poundland,Tiso, Aldi, Marks and Spencers Foodhall. Good hotel and a good visit to perth.
