No complaints, enjoyed our stay and the friendliness of the staff. If we're in the area again I'm sure we'll stay at the American Inn even though the price is a little high, it's in a good location for visiting the area.
Great stay at this Hotel at a great price! This Hotel will always be on my radar. I appreciated all the staff and the room. The hotel made AmericInn look really good. I didn't know that they existed. Great Hotel!
We stay here often and we always have a good comfortable room and good service. We enjoy a relaxing visit to the hot tub on every trip. It is nice to have the option of the free breakfast and there is certainly a good variety of food offered.
This hotel was very nice newer hotel. Was affordable for a family stay. Hotel staff was very helpful and all seem to be happy. Room was very clean . Breakfast was delicious. Pool is indoor , but was a bit cold too me. hot tub however, was nice and relaxing. Would stay here again. Hotel was very accessible from Highway.
Excellent stay, soft towels, good breakfast with friendly staff. It was clean with new beds, decent pillows, and not too far from the concert in Newton. We would stay there again if we are in town....
If you stay on the bottom floor, be prepared to hear every little thing happening above you or in the hallways. The first night we could hear the people above us walking/stomping around until the late hours and they were up early as well. The second night, my husband and I both took a zzquil in order to get some sleep since the night before, the noise above us gave us about 4 hours of rest. However, we again could hear every noise from the floor above us until 1am and they started walking and making noise again very early. I finally went to the front desk at 5am to get some help in finding a new room or to see what could be done. The guy there was zero help. He kept saying he didn't understand what the problem was and after explaining it several times, he told us we would have to check later in the afternoon for a new room after the maids cleaned and only then would they know if they had other available rooms. (What hotel doesn't know if people will be checking out?). Before leaving for the day we asked for a note to be left to call us when cleaning was finished to update us about a new room. No one called. When we called back, they said no note was left. We explained the situation again and were told that we could get a new room down the hall and there shouldn't be anyone above us. So we said we would just rather have the upstairs room then so we would be sure not to hear people. We were told oh no, this first floor room is better. Come to find out...it was better because the cleaners didn't clean all the rooms so this was "convenient." We moved all of our stuff to this new room and it was better as far as noise, but there was a half eaten cracker on the floor, which grossed me out. The place otherwise has been great. But beware...DO NOT STAY ON THE FIRST FLOOR and don't expect anything to get done unless you are persistent. Breakfast is wonderful and its location is prime. They need to hire more cleaners for the rooms it seems like. Noise causing a sever lack of sleep for 2 of our 3 nights is my only complaint.
Always easily accessible, the hotel is well kept, well managed, and well staffed. Stacie, who checked us in, was very professional, friendly, caring and helpful. Nancy, who checked us out was the same. The room was very fresh, very clean, very quiet. It had a microwave, refrigerator with a tiny freezer compartment, an iron with board, plenty of places to recharge or hook up digital gear with Wi-Fi, a flat screened TV with plenty of channels from which to choose, two very comfortable clean beds, and a heating/cooling unit with a constant fan selection to mask any stray hall noise (which was none). The room was well laid out and easy to get around in-even with all the junk we had accumulated on our trip. Breakfast was good. They invited us to stay again; we will.
My husband and I came for a weekend getaway to enjoy the charming city of Pella. We were thrilled with how clean and comfortable our room was, how friendly the staff was, and how convenient the location was.
We combined Tulip Time with our family reunion and I cannot explain how smooth it all went. From the staff to the cleanliness to the comfort of the beds- we had a perfect stay. Yes, it's pricey during Tulip Time but we expected that. The only real complaint is the elevator is really slow. Good thing it's only 2 story- we got lots of exercise on the stairs. Gina, good job!
Accomodations were nice size, reasonably priced and clean. Appreciated the microwave and refrigerator. Breakfast included numerous choices. The desk personnel were most helpful. Chocolate chip cookies at 11:00PM were delicious and enjoyed.
