Quiet reasonably priced hotel

Staff were very friendly though with a few, I had very difficult time communicating. The price was very very good and reasonable. However, if you do not have your own transportation such as a car, bicycle, or motorcycle, it can be quite an ordeal getting there. The room was very spacious but a bit old. For this price and service, I would definitely recommend to those who are seeking low priced hotel and who don't mind the distance from the main attractions.

We were very happy here. The room was large, clean and nicely decorated. We had a balcony with facilities for washing the fresh fruits that we purchased. I like to walk so the 20 minute walk to the beach was no problem for me. The WiFi was to weak to support Youtube, but that was not high on my list of priorities.

Hotel is highly in the interior. Hard to find.

Starting from the reception desk, the staff is just non co-operative, non polite, hotel is highly in the interior, hard to find. To get a cab, you have to walk appox. 500 mts. through a moderate residential locality. No staff to carry the luggage. Except receptionist, no other person knows English. Even she keeps her head down and replies only after asking for 2-3 times. Rooms are good, well furnished, but the Air Conditioner is not working properly. Bathrooms are small. Each rooms have a good gallery but the view is of either slums or moderate residential houses. No proper lights near the Dressing Table.

Great hotel if you have car

Great hotel if you fit to this condition: Have a car Want a getaway from downtown It's a lovely place with free breakfast (toast, cup noodles, biscuits, coffee). Very quiet but not too far (absolutely only if you have car). Pretty clean (didn't have much time to notice it all). Worth every cent for me. Will stay here again if I have business trip around here.

A Quiet Gem! :)

After one night in the madness of Pattaya, I wanted to get a good night of sleep away from the seediness of the main part of the city. Ploen was perfect - a much better room in a quiet neighborhood with wonderful Thai food ---- and it was cheaper than accommodation in the seedy areas. I was thrilled!

it is toooooooooooooooooo far from central pattaya, for traveling from hotel to central + hotel room rent u can get best hotel at central. so before booking check the distance, WiFi not working no bar, no food available. "good for nothing"

Nice location for a cheap price.

They used old, torn towels. They advertised free water and provided water in a glass bottle and water in a plastic bottle. Only one of the waters were free and they charged me for the other. They should explain this during check in. Their breakfast was a joke....instant coffee and white bread!

Ploen Pattaya Residence

We stayed here for two weeks. Taxis had trouble finding it even with an address. The rooms are very big and have air conditioning, a safe, TV, kettle and nice bathroom. Maids clean the rooms every day but can come anywhere between 10am and 4pm. The room was clean except the shower curtain and stained bed sheets! Staff hardly speak any English, and apart from one security guard they weren't that friendly. It is a little out of the way, and to get to the baht busses you have to walk down a busy road that has no pavement, but then it is only two baht busses to walking street. The 'continental breakfast' consists of DIY toast and a kettle, which was very disappointing! Overall a good stay just some things could be better. If you decide to stay here bank bank laundry up the road is very cheap and does a good job. Tim restaurant a little farther up the road was great, and the lady who owns it is very friendly and shouted over to us every time we walked past. If staying anywhere in Pattaya we would recommend centre one travel for trips (taxis are a rip off!) as they are very friendly and reasonably priced.

great quality rooms.

I rate hotels based on the price I paid. therefore this hotel is exceptional value. the only down side is its location. it is about a 5 minute walk from the bus route. it would suit someone who is looking for a quality room at a budget price and location is not important. they have great monthly rates too.

Ploen residence quiet location

Real nice accommodation for the price, on the outskirts of Pattaya central which is great if you need time away from the hustle & bustle only 10baht too take taxi bus into central or walking street. This location is also a lot cheaper for food,drink even ATM machines charge 150baht compared to 180baht in the center!

Nice quiet place

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel, it's quiet, clean and homely. The only drawback was that one of the front table staff(with too much makeup) didn't know how to address customers,she was arrogant and rude. The room cleaners are awesome and very dedicated to their duties.Kudos!, the location is a little off from the entertainment areas, but it's assessible by bikes and the taxis. I would stay here again .

Long séjour dans cette résidence calme

J'ai dû quitter mon hôtel le 16 Mars 2019 à 05 h 30 du matin et il n'y avait que l'agent de sécurité pour lui remettre les clefs. Moralité je n'ai pas pu récupérer les 500 baths de dépôt de garantie pour les clefs car aucune personne ne se trouvait à la réception à cette heure là. J'avais demandé la veille à la réceptionniste comment je devais procéder pour déposer la clef de ma chambre, mais j'avais oublié de lui poser la question pour le dépôt de garantie et elle ne me l'a pas rappelé non plus. Sinon j'ai été satisfait de mon séjour de 25 jours dans cet établissement.
