Stayed on tenth floor with a sea view. Room was adequate if a bit small with balcony. Shower just about warm enough but hotel looks tired and worn though it all works, They seem to have started renovations on ground floor whilst I was there. Whilst there it was quiet and very few guests and pool was quiet. Hotel has a good location on soil 5 in walking distance to most attractions and short walk to the Bart bus.
In a word its OK. Its typical of many Thai large resort hotels, its seen better days for sure and needs refurbishing but Thai owners often don't see refurb as necessary. Its very close to the beach with cheap restaurants and bars all around. The rooms are really large but a bit sparsely equipped though and most have small balconies with sea views, beds are comfortable, good range of TV channels. air con excellent and free wifi excellent as well, the swimming pool and games area with snooker, table tennis and fitness room are all nice and it all works well. Staff seem good and efficient. The room safes are useless really, we had two adjoining rooms in both cases the safes were not fixed to anything so could be removed with their contents... bit silly really but not uncommon I guess. I think its a bit expensive for what it is, especially when breakfast is not included.
We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days price is around 900 bahts.nice wifi and swimming pool for us to enjoy. Good room service. lot of Chinese group tour visitors. Very close to the beach and no disturbance at night.
Booked a double room with a balcony. The room had a beach view, quite beautiful. Tho no balcony furniture, though it was possible to take the indoor furniture out. The bathroom has a bathtub, quite dirty and not very inviting to use. The room itself was clean and spacious enough for 2 persons. Clean bedsheets. Staff does not speak very good English, the check it was poorly done. Breakfast was OK, there was an hour left on the breakfast but they had already stopped re-filling it up so it was pretty empty while we got there, so not much choices. The hotel and interior itself was very old looking and needed replacement, it was a bit dirty and dusty overall. A bit pricey for what you get, I expected more. We were there on our honeymoon. Cute romantic towel decoration with orchids on the bed made for us. Overall it was OK.
There is alot to be said abourt this hotel. Internet photos are slightly deceiving. Living in Bangkok I visit Pattaya often and stay at different hotels to see what they are like. Best: -friendly helpfull staff -hotel is a convenient short 2 minute walk from the beach. -nice sea view from balcony Least: -This hotel is another example of an originally very nice hotel about 30 yrs ago and there has been little or no attempt to upgrade or improve the facilities and has that faint old smell throughout. -there is 'no mention' anywhere of the fact that this hotel is mainly a destination of the Chinese group tours industry. -on my first night 14 tour buses all Chinese arrived. on my second night 12 buses arrived.(do the math) -these buses arrive late and all leave early between 6-8a.m. and all the passengers eat breakfast..its was absolutely rediculous. -I have never experienced anything like this before. -breakfast is from 6-10(am) at 730 when I came down there was almost 'nothing left' (seriously) accept a few asian dishes.Jams, yogurt juice, french toast, bacon etc all gone... it was rediculous. -imo, the hotel showed no consideration for non-Chinese customers who paid for breakfast. When I asked about certain breakfast items I was simply told sorry its all gone or were never made. -the entire hotel looks very tired and outdated and has that dark dreary look. -my room was the same original old tired look. -the room I was first assigned had such a terrible mysterious smell (not cigarette smoke or sewage) that gave me an instant headache and I had to change to another room. -mattress was typical old school hard style and the pillows were the same. Not comfortable at all for good sleep. -in house room phone was totally out of order (dead) as were all of the house phones as I discovered. (great for an emergency situation or other use) and imo,I believe that it is totally illiegal not to have an in-room phone..( but this is Thailand) -A/C was old style and very noisy at the outside unit. -kettle to boil water but no coffee mugs. -nothing in the room but water in refrigerator. -no toiletries whatsoever and only a soap dispenser in the shower nothing else provided. -could hear shower from adjacent room and faint voices. -any noise from hallway was easy to hear and the Chinese tourists are extremely load and noisy in the morning and you WILL be awake when they are. No cosideration whatsoever for other people. -swimming pool was in same condition as the hotel itself..in need of upgrading. the pool is in direct intense sunlight all aday but there is only complete shade froma gazebo for 4 loungers. The rest all must use umbrellas that dont cover the lounger.
The hotel is quite nice for it's price. We booked a room through Agoda for the December peak season and the rate was really reasonable. They listened to our request and put us in a room on top floor with a gorgeous view. We could see the ocean from our balcony. The hotel's location is also great. Although we were not in the middle of Pattaya's night life, it takes only 10 Baht and 10 minutes to get on a taxi bus into town. Our biggest complaint is probably their service by the swimming pool. No one was ever there to serve drinks even though a big sign board advertised happy hour every afternoon. We would've used the pool a lot more if they served drinks there. Over all we had a good time there. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was neat.
The hotel is very nice and huge rooms too. The staff are not very friendly and most of them do not understand English very well and this made it difficult for us to communicate with them and tell them what we need to eat or drink and thus we had to mainly go outside daily to drink and eat for ourselves. The swimming pool on the 2nd floor is a nice place to sit down in the evening with a couple of B**** and simply relax and have fun with friends.
This is one of these outdated places, where all rooms have connecting doors, so if your next door neighbour switch on the TV you follow it. I asked the reception when i checked in whether the room next door was occupied, she said no, and nobody will stay there tonight. So i accepted. At 6 am a lot of noise came from the next room, people screaming and slamming with doors. The only thing what i could do, was check out and decide to come back to this socalled hotel NEVER again.
This is has been far has been at the price stone throw from the beach and walking distance from major location rooms where decent and it was overall a good experience. would like to come back again if solo or with friends
Great location indeed. I stayed there for a few days and found it to be excellent value for money. They do have bulk Chinese tourists coming in by the bus load but that didn't bother me as I always had breakfast late. The room and view are excellent and the front desk are nice as, they are super friendly and really down to earth. I rang them at all times for room service and it wasn't a problem I even rang them for more water and they deliver for free. I love the place. The wifi is awesome!
