Wow. Everything was genuinely absolutely perfect. The hotel is small, quiet, and peaceful. Every single detail is taken care of. Petra, Dora and the team are all so kind and accommodating. I hesitate to leave this review because I don’t want to lose out on a reservation next year when they get fully booked. The breakfast is absolutely lush! We also had drinks by the pool and dinner in the little restaurant. Everything was delicious; flavorful ingredients, nice organic wines, and great portions. My husband and I had a dream of a holiday.

Beautiful small modern hotel. Staff very attentive. Breakfast OK, but not anything special. Did not try evening meels. Facilities limited. Sun loungers surrounded by hard surfaces so baking hot with little shade. Small pool looked nice but narrow so one person and it's full. Nowhere really to sit except where meals served so not during mealtimes. Water unsafe, minibar extremely expensive, and no shop nearby. My beautiful room had a small balcony but with only an uncomfortable narrow shelf to sit on. Distant sea views. Shore 5 mins walk. Area was not pretty. Bins across road, abandoned building site and a rather over developed small village and beach. Taxi to main town was €15, no buses that I could find. Top tip: follow the shore to the right and the scenery and beach gets better. Also a couple of longer walks possible.

Absolutely charming property. Our hosts were amazing, the suite was exquisitely furnished in traditional décor and for comfort on three levels. Wonderful views from the open air top level terrace. Breakfast was a real treat with delicious homemade goodies tastefully presented and plentiful. The hotel is family owned and operated and every attention to detail is perfection. We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely return! Highly recommended!

Fantastic family-owned and operated Hotel

Petra hotel is tranquil, clean, and attractive. My wife and I enjoyed the fact that it was a couple friendly environment more than a kid-friendly hotel. We were looking for a getaway from the stresses of our day-to-day life, and Petra hotel delivered. The grounds and rooms are immaculate, and the staff was terrific. From the moment you arrive, your every need is taken care of, and there was never a want or need. The breakfast is the best we had throughout our vacation on four different islands. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for a peaceful, calm, and stress-free getaway.

Exclusive small boutique hotel

It is a beauyiful hotel mote exclusive and private than the nearby aktis. The owners are around and watch around which brings a special care and elegance. If we come to Patmos again we will stay there. The only little criticism we can bring is the room smelled some humidity..some old mositure different than the breeze coming from the see.

Fantastic hotel

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Beautiful location, just 2 minute walk to the beach with great views. The room was lovely and very comfortable. The staff and owners were great, really friendly and helpful, they could not do enough for us. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing stay on Patmos

Wonderful boutique and luxury small hotel!

We loved our stay at Petra Hotel. Spectacular views. Bountiful breakfast. Pool and terrace right outside our door. We would return here when we come back to Patmos. The service was superb. Always attentive!

One of the best hotels in the world.

I have stayed in hotels all over the world. This is one of the very best that I have stayed in. The owners are very attentive, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The location is perfect and as there are only 11 rooms, it is never overcrowded. The breakfast is sumptious with so much of it home made by Petroula, the joint owner, who is a brilliant cook. An atmosphere of calm pervades the whole place and eating our dinner on the terrace as night fell was an experience that I'll never forget. We can't wait to return.

A real gem.

This is the type of hotel that you want to keep to yourself. But in fairness to the owners, who appear to be a family, the hotel is a real gem with impeccable service, ideal location, and ultra cleanliness. The hotel is not large and would not be a good choice for families with small children, but it is ideal for adults and older children. Whether you visit Patmos for a day or a week, this hotel should be high on your list.

Patmos Island best hotel!

Very nice hotel with amazing customer service (definitely in the top-3-all-time hotel customer service I have encountered in my numerous travels around the world). The owners are there almost continuously and are a nice middle aged couple who truly want to help make your stay as fun and hasslefree as possible. Great breakfast. Nice rooms -actually our room had a better view than the suite we stayed for 2 nights. The suite was a nice coplimentary upgrade from the hotel to make it up to us for switcing us around due to overbooking (very rare to them). Excellent pool with nice view and food (try the watermelon-cucumber soup - it tastes amazing!) Easy access from both the port Scala and the Island capital Xwra (approx 6 euros by taxi, but there are also buses) Overall a great hotel definitely worth 4+ stars!
