We recently went to Park City and had booked a one bedroom condo at the Caledonian. We went knowing it was their shoulder season, and therefore would be quiet and slow. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a huge two bedroom. (I only saw one other couple there the entire weekend). This hotel is located at the bottom of Park City Main Street and everything is up the hill, but we were fine with that. We were told upon check-in that linens would be replenished and beds made up daily. Maid service did not come. (Not sure if that was because we were not in our original intended room?) the door handle to the balcony came off in my husbands hand but that was fixed quickly by maintenance. I really did enjoy my stay here, the location and the room could not be beat. However, the bed was the worst part. The bed was super firm, the sheets dry and scratchy. I must have tried every pillow there trying to find one that worked for me. Also, the satellite was not working on the downstairs tv (we didn't even mention it, we just went upstairs to watch tv, not a big deal). I'm not complaining, and I would recommend this location, just trying to provide all information.
My family of 5 stayed in a two bedroom which was perfect as it had a large living room and open kitchen and dining area. The sofa bed was key for us too. The location couldn't have been more convenient for the family as the ski rental shops are across the street and the lift ticket office and ski lift are just outside the side door of the condo. And can easily get to all the great restauarants and shops on Main Street. Service was friendly including both the maid service and the reception person. Everyone in my family wants to go back to Park City and I couldn't agree more since it went so smoothly thanks to The Caledonian.
Our stay at the Caledonian was even better than we hoped. We chose it for the location -- literally steps from the Town Lift, which gets you right up on the mountain and able to start skiing, and at the same time a very short walk from Park City's restaurants, shops, galleries and other attractions. Our two bedroom duplex, which looked right out at the lift and up toward the mountain, was spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and TVs in the living room and each of the bedrooms. Although we were right next to the lift, noise was not an issue at all and we enjoyed being able to look out at the lift. The key pad room entry was convenient -- when you have to remember your helmet, gloves, lift ticket, etc., who wants to have to fumble for a key too. The staff was very responsive and helpful -- particularly Craig, Mikalee and Asa. While furnishings may be a bit dated, I thought it gave the unit a comfy and authentic feel -- we were staying in someone's home, not so much a hotel. We spent three nights at the Caledonian, had no problems during our stay and look forward to returning.
Spent 4 nights in park city with four 19-24 year old kids for a quick ski vacation Our condo was clean and very comfortable Hot tub overlooking the town lift bridge Could watch lift starting every morning so never had to go out too early From the time we left the room , walked down to storage closet to get skis that is across from front desk and out the the Town Lift - maybe 7/8 minutes !! The Caledonian is a 5-8 minute walk from all the restaurants on Main Street Ample parking and great front desk service with lots of ideas if needed Even being right on Main Street it's very safe w access codes needed for elevator and rooms Complimentary shuttle service around town came in handy when going to the grocery / liquor stores Do not miss going to Butchers restaurant on lobby level- the bar and restaurant are open late and it's great !
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4th of July weekend and it couldn't have been a more perfect place to stay. Not only was there a hot tub on your own private patio, but the location is right over Main Street and gave us a perfect view of the parade and steps away from restaurants, shops and bars. The one bedroom, 2 story condo had more than enough space and amenities such as a full kitchen, two bathrooms, living room and large bedroom. The decor was not modern but well maintained, clean and had a charming lodge-style homey feel. Front desk was always friendly and helpful. We had such a wonderful time here and would definitely return again.
My wife and I really enjoyed staying at The Caledonian during our honeymoon. We even ended up extending our stay. The location is great and easy to find because it's right near main street. The rooms were clean and well decorated. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The only complaint I would have is the Wi-Fi was kinda slow at times. Other than that it was a very enjoyable stay and we look forward to returning in the future!
My wife, son and I traveled to Park City in early March for some spring break skiing. We have always wanted to stay right by the town lift for PCMR. The Caledonian is literally next to the town lift. We stepped out of The Caledonian and walked about 20 steps to the lift. We rented and stored our ski's at the shop directly across from the lift. The Caledonian is a beautiful property. It is a "condotel" and the units are individually owned. Our unit was a spacious two level unit over-looking Main Street. There was a huge hot tub on the balcony and we would spend our apres' ski time in the tub people watching. A couple of days we were in the tub while it was snowing! That's fun. Would definitely stay at this property again. Very reasonable rates and upgraded/clean accomodations.
Nice, clean, very up to date, and comfortable. Not familiar with staying in the Park City area but quickly realized that after ski season and before summer season, half the town is closed down. Still had a nice relaxing stay and would definitely stay here again.
We stayed he during spring break in March. The staff and accommodations were amazing. We arrived around 9:30 in the morning and their staff let us change into our ski clothes there and stored our luggage while we hit the slopes until our room was ready. The room was a beautiful 2 story condo with our own private hot tub overlooking Main Street. We were so close to the town lift as well. We came down the elevator, stepped out of our hotel and the town lift was right there. If you are tired at the end of the day and don't want to ski all the way down, the town lift will bring you home. Would definitely stay here again. Did I mention the staff was amazing and very accommodating.
After looking at many places I settled on the Caledonian and was not disappointed. The service was friendly and helpful and our condo was beautifully appointed and comfortable. Only regret was we couldn't stay longer. Would definitely return.
