The hot tub on our deck overlooked a party on Main Street! The hotel was immaculate and the rooms were huge. This was the perfect spot for our girls weekend. It didn't snow but it didn't matter because our room was amazing and could walk to all the events on main street. Staff was friendly and super helpful. I have stayed at a few other top places in Park City and this is by far the best.
We are a family of 5 who spent a week at The Caledonian skiing and snowboarding. We had a 2 bedroom 2/12 bath deluxe unit (204) that was HUGE! While some of the decor was outdated, the unit was clean and comfortable. There was lots of storage place for all our ski gear. Our bed's were VERY comfortable. The showers were hot with great water pressure. The kitchen was well stocked, and we were able to cook serval meals. We loved our huge deck that faced High West and the town lift. We had some issues with the hot tub, but they were quickly resolved. Craig, the building manager, made our stay extra special. Prior to our LATE arrival, we had ski gear and groceries delivered. He personally made sure everything got safely to our room. He's often at the front desk, and always made us feel like we were old friends. After our departure, he made sure our ski gear was picked up by Fed ex. He personally called me at home to let me know our stuff was on the way. Wonderful service and we will be back!
My friends and I gathered in Park City for a three-night reunion and opted to stay at the Caledonia. It was perfect. The location is ideal and really can't be beat -- restaurants, shops, and bars at your disposal with no car or shuttle required. There is a coffee shop directly across the street that serves up yummy drinks and good bites, and High West Saloon is just a stone's throw away. We stayed in unit 210 -- it faces Main Street, which allowed for optimal views and people watching from our private hot tub. The unit was outfitted with everything we needed to cook dinner on the night we decided to stay in, and also was fully equipped with TVs, a washer/dryer (great for washing stinky ski gear), and a big dining room table and sofa for community gathering. It was spacious and cozy (gas fireplace!). I'm a light sleeper and had no issues with noise at all. We had no complaints.
First time back in Park City in 5+ years, usually stay at the Marriott Summit Watch right across Main St. but it was full. The Caledonian's online posts make it sound wonderful, hotel-like, etc. It's only virtue is that one can, literally, walk out the door and get on the Town lift. Beyond that, never again unless I have to. They advertise "concierge" services; nothing. Not even a toothbrush when I realized I'd forgotten mine. Can you get me a Times in the morning? Sorry, I don't know where to get it. Yes, the room -- a duplex with a huge flight of stairs up which to lug your suitcase -- is quite large, but it's old, tired, with a soft, sagging bed. Housekeeping? Had to request that toilet paper be restocked, and my request for more shampoo and conditioner was never filled. All in all, I felt very gouged.
I stayed at the Caledonian over the 2/2/18 weekend. I have stayed there before and loved the location. However, the patched, unpainted walls, small TV, broken outlets and unreliable heater made this experience really disappointing. Also, though the Town Lift is as close as it gets, the ski run to get you home is a difficult blue; not for beginners. I say that only to say that don't stay here if you are or are with a beginner skier, you won't use the convenient lift.
Absolutely perfect location and amazing staff! Situated right next to the Town Lift, getting on/off the mountain is as easy as it gets. Craig and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate our family and ensure our stay was perfect. The room was spacious and well appointed, and daily hot tub service allowed for needed rest & relaxation after a day on the slopes. We had a corner room with a covered balcony which provided a bit more privacy than some other units that open directly to the street below.
The Caledonian just has the best location in town. Right on Main Street and so close to the town lift and many restaurants! We stayed there for a girls trip and the fact that the rooms entail a full kitchen, living room and two bed rooms was amazing. If you plan a trip with your family or friends to Park City, this is the first place I would look into. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. We were able to get a lot of information from Craig about the area and he made us feel right at home as soon as we checked in. We will definitely be back!
Craig and his staff were amazing from the moment we checked in till our goodbyes a few days latter. Lots to do and see right out your door. Hot tub on your balcony. Comfy bed and lots of room to enjoy our stay. Everything you could need are there for your stay. Underground parking. This place is a gem. Can't wait to go back.
I recently stayed here with my family! Amazing location. Ski rental shops close by. The staff here was very helpful as well. This is where i plan on spending my yearly vacation because the experience was so amazing!
After a few days of trying to find the right hotel to stay in in park city I finally found this place. I got there and couldn’t be happier!! The place is in a perfect location on Main Street where we had access to all of the stores within walking distance. The ski lift is immediately right outside the door walking out of the building and the main lodge for park city mountain is right down the road. I recommend to everyone looking for a place to stay in park city. Stay here!
