Deer Valley's Signature Collection3.5 out of 5.0

We paid a lot of money to stay at one of the Signature Collection's homes which is basically a group of condos/houses that are managed by Deer Valley. Each one varies so there might be a few gems in there but the one we stayed at was last updated in the 1970's by the looks of it. The furniture was cheap. The beds uncomfortable. Our bathrooms had no ceilings so everyone could hear everything in the bathroom. Gross! The place is clean though and did have working internet even though the TV was limited and the cd player that you supposedly could use with your iPod was broken. If you are going to stay at one of these homes, ask when it was last renovated, how new the bathrooms and kitchens are and how they compare to the other rentals. After complaining, we were sent links to homes that were available that looked no better than the one we were staying in so definitely ask for photos and make sure they represent the home. I found the central reservation staff to be quite honest about the state of the homes. Lastly, the transportation to Snow Park is great and so if you find a nice place this could be a good option for the overpriced but nice ski resort. We won't be back...
Stayed at Deer Lake Village in a beautiful condo with 3 bedrooms and den. Could have accommodated many more with the trundle beds, loft beds and pullout sofas. Daily housekeeping and terrific car service back and forth to town if you call in advance. The gas fireplace seemed to work intermittently. Terrific kitchen which was well stocked with kitchenware and appliances.
We have been going to Deer Valley/Park City for many years and a couple of years ago discovered Deer Valley Signature Collection. We have been satisfied renting from them, with elements outstanding. The Only reason they have 4 stars and not 5 is the consistency of the condos. They sublet condos owned by private individuals so that the quality varies. We have had one with hundreds of stairs (not fun in ski boots at the end of the day) and then we were at "mid mountain" which is great, but requires one to call a shuttle every time you want to go anywhere. Now, their shuttles are great....it would have been more convenient if we could have caught a regular shuttle or accessed the ski area by trail/foot/ski. The staff is outstanding, always meeting your every request. I would suggest however that DV do a complete review of all the units they manage on a periodic basis. I think this would improve the quality of the bed, heater, hot tub, etc.
We just returned from President's Weekend at Deer Valley Resort. Deer Valley is without a doubt the most accommodating ski resort I have every visited. They practically put your boots on. However, the lodging booked through Deer Valley does not measure up to DV status. We stayed at Ridge #10 which is part of the Signature Collection. The condo is spacious with a well equipped kitchen. Unfortunately, the decor is dated; oak, burgundy, navy blue. It is in need of an update. The king bed in the main floor bedroom is constructed of wood with metal inserts. Unfortunately, every time we moved in the bed the metal rattled. I called in the morning to have the bed frame tightened. It did not remedy the irritating noise. After a fabulous day skiing the second day, the smoke alarm woke us up chirping every thirty seconds at 11:00 pm alerting me to a dead battery. At first I thought I could ignore it but by 1:00 am my entire family was awake. I would have dealt with the problem myself but the alarm was located about 20 feet off the ground. I called the front desk and someone was sent immediately to deal with the issue. I would suggest Deer Valley send a memo to maintenance to change their smoke alarm batteries every year as we do in our homes. I will add one more issue that we did not report. The internet never worked. I asked on our last day if there was a possibility for a late check out. I was firmly denied. Love Deer Valley skiing but in the future will not book accommodations through Deer Valley.
