Villa Royale was one of the more unique hotels I have been to. Everything in the hotel--from the elevator with paintings along the wall to the rooms to the fixtures--looked like something from a royal palace. The hotel is in a very convenient location, just steps away from the Pigalle metro station. Certain of the hotel surroundings can be a bit seedy at night (it's right next to the red light district), but overall, the area was convenient (next to many grocery stores and restaurants) and safe. The staff was quite accommodating and even went so far as to help me get in touch with the Metro station where I was pickpocketed to help me recover my wallet. Although there were a few blips during my stay (for example, the WiFi didn't work in my room for a few days), the staff made every effort to fix issues as they came up.
This is an extremely romantic and sexy hotel, in the center of the best night life in Paris. Moulin Rouge is only 3 or 4 city blocks away - a place that you must visit, with the best show on earth!!!
Everything went very well. the hotel staff was very kind and took really good care of their guest. We generally don't spend a lot of time in the rooms, on the go all the time. Everything was good, close by many stores, bakery and the metro.
Room is very small for two persons. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Rooms were small but very cosy. Bit of outside noise at night drifted up from street below. Staff were helpful and friendly Don't rely on them for wake up call if you have to catch early flight when leaving !!! I missed my flight !!!

Neighborhood didn't feel safe. And on a Saturday night the noise, yelling and honking did not stop until 5:30 AM.
Stayed at this hotel for a week. Staff was reasonably accommodating and cordial. Hotel is located in Pigalle which was a bit edgy as your in the red light district. Definitely not for everyone and certainly not if you have a family. It was fine for my wife and I but you do need to be careful of pickpocketers. I was actually picked so do be careful out there. Rooms were small but that should be expected. The metro/subway station is right across the street so that was nice.
