I will prefer to come back next trip prior that they need to arrange the bed as per my request and change the floor where we stayed. We enjoy the breakfast every morning, but they need to change the menu or set up atleast.

Great hotel, good price, adequate rooms and pleasant people - what more do you want when staying in Paris? I have now stayed twice at Villa Royale Montsouris; both times my expectations were exceeded - many thanks!

This hotel is something out of a novel! It's so sweet! The location was great, only a short walk to the metro! and a great station to swap and change on too! The rooms were very snug, but for me and my partner, it was very romantic and cosy! The theme of the hotel is so unique, and such great value for Paris! we've stayed in 2-3 hotels in Paris, and this one is the best! Best location to stay as for ALL the tourist sites, but is nuzzled away from the main streets. If you love a romantic hide-a-way and something that is a tad quirky... you'll love this hotel! The staff were amazing, they gave us maps and helped us find the metro... I speak French, so it was easy to communicate, although they seemed fluent with English! The lady we saw was so helpful, she looked after our bags too so we could pop out to the shops... and she was so attentive. Great place to stay!

Charmingly decorated in a faux-Oriental style (slightly amateurish in execution and bursting with personality), Villa Royale Montsouris is a contender for the ‘nicest little hotel in Paris’ label and a recommended choice if you are of a romantic mind and seeking a bohemian atmosphere with a twist. Darkly atmospheric and bathed in colourful light patterns from quaint little lamps, the rooms inspire poetry reading, contemplation and perhaps a quiet tryst between lovers (screaming orgasms would not remain private since the doors are wafer-thin). The hotel is located right next to what is presently a gigantic and decidedly off-putting building site, but my room fortunately faced the inner court and I had no problems with noise. My room was clean and comfortable, though very small. If you are traveling on a budget, turn left as you exit the hotel and walk five minutes down Rue Paul Fort until you reach a Franprix supermarket. Not only does this have exits at both ends, serving as a handy shortcut to the Porte d'Orléans métro, but it also offers inexpensive cold and warm food options and an eating area with tables and chairs. There are also plenty of affordable nearby restaurants.

This is a quiet and comfortable hotel away from the main tourist attractions which makes for a good retreat. Lots of small local, non. touristy cafes, close to two metros and RER B for airport access.

I stayed there for one night this week and found the hotel clean and in a good location (very close to tram station), the staff friendly, and the room was comfy. It was a bit noisy cos of the construction across the street and the room was a bit stuffy. But the continental breakfast was really good and fresh. They also offered use of a smartphone which was convenient. The rate was also very reasonable so it definitely was a good deal.

The hotel has a great location (5 mins walk from porte d' orleans metro station) and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Good spread for breakfast and the mobile phone was extremely useful. Room was a bit small but was beautifully decorated. Would definitely recommend!

Positive points : - Beautiful decor if you like the oriental style - Free mini-bar - Quiet - Clean - Friendly staff - Easy to get to and from Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est (metro 4) Negative points : - Hectic to get to hotel from Gare de Lyon - The room was really dark, couldn't see the light of day - The bathroom was awful for taking a shower, there was a bathtub with no shower curtain so really uncomfortable and the water ended up all over the bathroom floor. I booked this hotel because it was at a good price for a 3 star hotel and I wanted to treat myself. Unfortunately I've stayed in 2 star hotels which were much more comfortable. They provide a free smartphone to use but who really needs that? We didn't use it. I won't book again in this hotel because I didn't really like the decor, the room was so dark and the bathroom was SO not practical and really uncomfortable. Also I always get to Paris at Gare de Lyon, it was just too hectic to get to the hotel with luggage (three different metro lines).

There was really nothing more I could have asked for, the room was beautfully decorated, very clean and quite, the staff was friendly and helpful. I especially liked the decor of the bathrooms and the good overall service. The breakfast was tasty and there was a wide choice for a french breakfast.

Hotel is good in location with a short walk to metro station , but the hotel itself is really old in design and sometimes its really dim and i cant see in side the closet i had to open my mobile flash. i did not like the bathroom at all, it is really small and i got a shower placed in the opposite side of the wall so my bathroom was wet everytime i got a bath. The Breakfast was very limited with options , sometimes i didnt find expect bread and cheese. what is good was the 4G mobile phone that you could use for free, but it was really slow and lagging that at the end i didnt use it at all. and the hotel staff were friendly overall, this hotel is average compared to value you Pay, but i stayed for 3 nights in a hotel in champs elese and it was cheaper and way modern than this one .
