Our room was impeccable, a triple with---very unusually for Paris, I suspect---two very comfortable double beds. The area is unpretentious. Batignolles has some decent bistros. Two metro stations are reasonably close by. The management is pleasant and helpful. Altogether a good alternative to the tourist-ridden Left Bank. Stephen S.
I returned to stay at the New Orient Hotel with my best friend for three nights, after previously staying there a couple years ago. My friend and I are from Australia and found the staff at the hotel extremely helpful and friendly. They helped us with public transport and sight-seeing advice. The New Orient Hotel is a very welcoming place to stay and it is super central and French. A special thank you to Aziz who was always very kind and helpful. I’ll be back again next time I’m in Paris!
We stayed New Orient for 6 nights and 3 rooms for our 6 family member. The design of Each room are different they are all quiet, clean and comfortable. All staffs plus manager are very nice and friendly. It’s good location. Cross the street is supermarket it’s very convenient to buy food and wine and bring back to eat at breakfast area. They don’t put kettle in each room but they provide hot water in the kitchen. We had a wonderful time.
The wife choose this hotel as a weekend break to Paris. Good location near Metro, restaurants and local bars. Room although small was adequate with own toilet and shower room, large double bed and balcony. Spotlessly clean and water and toiletries provided, hair dryer, air con etc. Staff very pleasant and welcoming. The only negative was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Great little boutique hotel and worth a visit.
First of all I requested a nice room and we got a lovely room, the response was very customer focused & professional. When we arrived the staff were nice and the room was lovely, petite but nice. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and not breaking down unlike some other similar rated hotels. Price point was perfect and not overpriced. The hotel has a small supermarket across the road and a very nice bakery on the corner. We definitely will come back.
We wanted a "Paris-y" hotel.... nothing modern or slick, and we got just what we wanted! We felt very french staying here. Room was small, but efficient. Heating towel rack. The only bad thing was the shower curtain - it clings to you the entire time you are in the shower.... which is creepy! Eventually we took showers not using the curtain (sorry maids). Great bar up one block. Great Italian down one block with only 9 tables.... great meal! Big thank you to the front desk for mailing our postcards! We got them at home!
The hotel is exactly what we wanted for our anniversary break. Reception staff were very helpful, the room although compact was clean and the location was ideal. The local facilities included a grocery store, local street market and superb restaurant. An inexpensive taxi ride to both the tourist centre and Gare du Nord.
Recently stayed on a girls trip and booked 2 balcony rooms. We paid €275/night. Staff was nice, rooms were tiny - even with euro standards. Made it hard to unpack 2 suitcases. The balconies had a nice view, but were so tiny you’d have to squeeze out to see, or sit. It was clean, showers were hot, linens were fine. The neighborhood was average with grocery across the street, 1 bar on the corner, then 1 bakery on the corner. Balcony rooms were very noisy at night - and I live in Chicago. Woken by people, garbage trucks and motorcycles. It is a 5 minute walk to the Pigalle Metro stop. There were more cafes in shopping in that area as well. I supposed I'd only stay here again if the rate were lower. You also had to pay for breakfast service.
Stayed here in early February as we were in Paris for a 6 Nations Rugby match. The hotel is well situated and pretty easy to find. The room was on the top floor and was spacious and very clean with a nice bathroom area. I really enjoyed the small balcony that was just outside of the room which i thought was very Parisian! Nice touch with the red chairs too. The breakfast was lovely with fresh bread daily, cereals, cheeses and ham to choose from. Would definitely stay again when back in Paris. The staff were lovely and looked after us well. If you are looking for a small boutique Parisian style hotel I would highly recommend the New Orient !
Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Rooms are small, but perfectly clean - fresh towels daily. Has a small dining room for Buffet Breakfast - has a nice selection of cereals, fresh fruit and cold meats. Also freshly made bread and pastries. Short walk to choice of 2 Metros. This hotel is in a really nice area and has a nice selection of cafes and restaurants also a couple of supermarkets and a Laundrette nearby. I would recommend this hotel to friends intending to visit Paris.
