Usually I right reviews if I am very satisfied but in this case it's vice versa. When I came back to my room in the evening, money were stolen from my wallet. Staff told me of course that nobody could take my money, but they can’t disappear them self. I have it for the first time then staff are scrabbling in the personal clothes. Breakfast was in the small room and staff was always looking at you, like they were afraid you would eat all what they have. Choice was also not big enough for 4stars hotel: omelet, 1 board of ham, 1 board of sausages and bread. Room was very nice and the view from the window was also very nice. Room was also clean. The hotel is far from the Centrum and it takes also 15-20 minutes jogging to the metro. Don’t try to get there by train or metro from the airport Charles de Gaulle, you need to change 2 times from one to another and it take’s 1.40 min to get to the hotel. I would never back in this hotel. So if this hotel, is your choice please seriously think about all the things that are written here.
With a warm , friendly welcome. The hotel was interesting and clean... perfect after a day of exploring the sights of the wonderful city of Paris ! Was worried about speaking no French, but the staff were wonderful and understanding.
Very nice Hotel with a very good staf is now in need of a refresh because the walls need paint and the rooms need some attention in showers that is just because of the age , the rest is very good even the free mobil phone in the room that you can take it and use it for free. Will return in December 2018 as always.
I can imagine how this hotel must have been before the current owners and the incredible Chantal Thomas created a fabulous transformation. It was probably threadbare with small, 'tired' rooms. The rooms are still small, but wow are they incredible! Every floor is themed after one of the seven deadly sins. The ground floor is - dressed completely in white - heaven and the basement with the spa is a black and red hell. I had the pleasure of staying on the 'Envy' floor but I would just as happily have occupied any of the other sins. I loved every little detail and will happily return again and again when I need to be in this part of Paris. For me, everything clicked.
We like to stay in no standard hotels and this fitted the bill. Rooms a little small but clean and tidy. Great access to central Paris and Versailles. Local pubs and eateries were all very good. Staff attentive and friendly.
My husband and i stayed in this place for our Anniversary, and had the worst time here, at first we arrived-to this awkward hotel, that we thought it was 4* never i would say it is a 2 star, then they assigned us the 306 room it smelled awful (strong cigar smell) then they changed us to another room, very small. When we arrived they told us we could have some breakfast and never told us it had a fee, our breakfast was very bad and at the end for 3 nights it was more than 100 euros. Stay away from this hotel very bad service and place to stay, very far from metros to. Would never stay here again or recommend this place. We’ve been traveling a lot lately and this was the worst hotel ever!
Overall we had a very pleasant stay however it just wasn't the right fit for us. Quite far from main iconic areas, a good 7 minute walk from the train station and slightly difficult to nativists to, extremely noisy with the traffic being right off the majority of rooms, small bed area/room in general. Positives: comfy bed/pillows, fridge (with purchase drinks), free sauna, robes, slippers, a nice sized bathroom and a good sized shower with waterfall feature and blue mood lighting. The staff was also excellent and spoke fluent English among many other languages. I personally oils stay at a cheaper hotel next time for the additional space and possibly closer to the centre (however that can be hard to do in Paris!) worth staying for a different kind of theme
Stayed at Vice Versa for 2 nights with my boyfriend, couldn't believe how gorgeous the hotel was. We stayed on the "Sloth" floor, everything was clean, decorated beautifully and the room wasn't as small as the reviews had led us to believe. All staff were very friendly and helpful and we were able to leave our bags in the luggage room on the last day. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby and lots of gorgeous backstreet restaurants, we loved Anooshey's Indian that was literally over the road and a lovely little Italian we found in the handy "restaurant recommendations" book left in the hotel reception, that was just round the corner. The walk to the Eiffel Tower is not as bad as some reviews say, around 40 minutes and there is lots to see on the way. Free umbrellas in the hotel lobby came in handy! We would definitely stay in this hotel again and are looking forward to staying on another one of the themed floors next time!
Beautiful hotel, very different to anywhere I've stayed before! Staff were very polite and helpful when we asked where places were, even at 10pm trying to direct us to a 24 hour pharmacy in the pouring rain! Gorgeous room, we had the upgraded Sloth room with an amazing bathroom. Room was cleaned with fresh bedding and towels everyday! Great selection of foods for breakfast each morning! Couldn't fault the hotel at all :)
We booked the hotel over a third party booking platform as bundle with a flight very cheap and therefore didn't expect much. We were blown away when we discovered this hotel. The styling is incredible and well thought out. The breakfast room can be described as cosy but the variety of breakfast options is rather rare. Would definitely go here again!!
