JJ was a very kind and accommodating host. We arrived late due to train delays, and he waited to greet us, which we appreciated. He clearly cares about his guests.The location is excellent, and the loft is beautifully designed with exposed beams, interesting angles, and a fun upper loft kids will enjoy.However, there were several issues.The listing described this as a “cozy 3-bedroom apartment.” I would not consider the upstairs loft a true bedroom. It has a very low ceiling and a mattress on the floor.Cleanliness was a problem. The apartment looked picked up but not actually cleaned. There was trash in the trash can, dust under a bed, food in the refrigerator, and dirty laundry on the washer. Paint was peeling in places.Sleeping comfort was poor. The upstairs air mattress (which the host knew about) was loud, deflated overnight, and not suitable as a real bed. Another bedroom had a thin mattress. There were also no extra blankets, and we had to buy one.There was no way to control the heat ourselves; we had to contact the host to change it remotely.The listing said there was a washer and dryer, but only the washer worked, so we had to use a laundromat.The apartment is also up six flights of stairs, which was not disclosed.Finally, although the listing said there was a smoke detector, we could not find one and I had to buy one myself.Bottom line: This place has a lot of potential, but these issues can’t be overl
