The hotel was reasonably quiet, being down a side street, yet close to shopping and the Eiffel tower. Unfortunately there were building works on the road, with metal plates covering holes and every time a car drove over at night there was a loud clang. But that is not the reason for disappointment. We had high expectations after reading other reviews. The room was spacious enough and the bathroom interesting. Yet, the beds were very soft, resulting in a back ache after the second night. We asked for another room and were given an option which was firstly much smaller, but more importantly had a strange smell, as if something had been cooked in the room. We were then promised another option the next morning, which never materialised. The breakfast area is very cramped with tables so close that when you get up to go to the buffet you need to be careful not to sweep things off the neighbouring table. On top of that, not all food is replenished. On at least one morning the scrambled eggs were cold and on another none were left in the tray. I then asked for a fried egg and was told this wasn't possible. The cheese seemed to be the same tired looking slices on several occasions. One of the main reasons for booking the hotel was the so-called spa. Well, yes there is a steam room and sauna, but absolutely nowhere to sit between sessions except on the cold tiled floor - or a broken plastic chair - which completely negates the experience. I would not stay here again.
The hotel is nice despite some disturbing issues that I faced, such as noise coming from the nieborhood at the midnight and every night, and also for the housekeeping, the room service is poor as well the menue, but overall the hotel is a nice place and perfect location
Myself and my wife stayed there for 2 nights on 15th Dec , Very helpfull and friendly staff. Room was small but nicely laid out and red lights in shower are class. 25 minute walk to Eiffel Tower but you will need to get a taxi or metro to the nightlife area. Metro is 2 minutes walk from hotel. All in all a plesent stay.
This hotel is ideal for young cuples! Room decoration is fabulous. I like too the bathroom with led lights and the separate wc room. My room had a huge round bed like a movie decor! Stuff is very friendly!
A really chic well appointed boutique hotel that provides an excellent place to stay and is great value. Very short leaking distance from Charles Michel Metro. All staff very friendly too Can really recommend.
We stayed for two nights, 3 days in Paris. The hotel was better than expected and ideal for short break accommodation. the staff were friendly and the bedroom and spa was excellent. the hotel is located in an amazing area with 15 minutes walk to Effiel Tower. it is located down the road from an amazing restaurant, called Equlectice, which is pricey but worth it. Unfortunately we didn't have breakfast so we cannot comment on that. Otherwise, an amazing place and great hotel, thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Platine Hotel is a pleasant themed small hotel within walking distance of the main attractions of Paris (if you are ok walking 1 mile+, which we were) My wife and I visited for a romantic weekend away and got exactly that. We opted for a suite: The room was small and nicely presented but I would be pushed to describe this room as a suite. I had seen reviews stating the rooms were small so it was sort of expected. As we had made plans to eat at the Eiffel tower and Moulin Rouge so opted for the Bed and Breakfast option. The food was good and the restraurant nicely themed as a movie set style diner which complemented the rest of the theming in the hotel. Staff were polite and very helpful. Prior to the trip I had been a little worried about my limited spoken French but this was not an issue as the staff were more than capable of communicating in English. We took in all the usual sights by a mixture of tours and general walking. We booked and would recommend both a meal in the Eiffel tower restaurant, and a show/meal at Moulin Rouge but should note that both were very expensive
Pros: The locations is great right south of the 7th arr. district, which is where the Eiffel Tower is located. It's right across the street from a mall which was convenient and near the Charles Michels Metro station (Line 10) which connects to everything well. Free breakfast is a nice touch. Cons: There is some construction going right next to it and I wish they would have let the guest know. We were alarmed every morning about 6am to loud booms from the machines next to us. Also, the rooms are REALLY REALLY REALLY small. The pictures do not give you an accurate view. They should disclose the square footage. If you have large luggage, this is not the hotel for you. Also, we got different answers from the front desk staff (could have been a language barrier). We asked if they did laundry service for a fee, one said yes, another said no later. They are frequently understaffed at night with only one person working if you need anything FYI. We probably wouldn't stay again, but overall, solid boutique hotel.
I was in Paris for the first time since I was 11 years old and I am now 55. I travelled with my American wife who had never visited Paris before. Hotel Platine was close to the Eiffel tower and river Seine. It is well designed and friendly. I took photos of our room when we arrived. It was wonderful. I was so impressed with our bathroom and even the lifts. They had videos playing of Marilyn Monroe movies.
This is really cool hotel with very friendly staff that makes you feel home directly. I regularly stay here. It is located very close to the Seine and Eifel tower. The rooms are quite small but very smart and individually designed. I love to come back.
