Stayed in the Privilige room with views of the city and Eiffel tower which I would really recommend (got a 30% discount though, normal rates are quite high). Hotel and room are very clean, breakfast was excellent (even at 9.50 am there was plenty of choice) and the bed was possibly the best we ever slept in at a hotel. Would stay here again!
Stayed here last weekend. Checked in online, so keycard was waiting for me. Privilege room small but clean. Same with bathroom. Great shower. Bed comfy, pillows just about ok. As a Accor gold member I was disappointed the welcome drink didn't extend to my wife. Stopped in countless hotels throughout the Accor group and this is the first time this has happened. Staff unhelpful when I bought this to there attention. The result being, instead of having a few drinks at the bar, we only had one in there all weekend and took our € elsewhere. Bar area itself very small and and not really welcoming. All in all a decent hotel.
This our 4th time in Paris but the 1st in the Place Italie area. We came in on the Ryanair route Beauvais to Porte Maillot. So it's line 1 change we changed at the Louvre on to line 7 you can also use line 5 or 6. Come up at entrance number 2. There is a bar/ cafe in front of you bear right ;3-4 minute walk and the hotel is on your left. The hotel lobby area was bright and very modern the receptionist was lovely she greeted us with a welcoming smile and checked us in very quickly and efficiently. She then told us we'd been upgraded; what a lovely surprise. The room on floor 4 was very comfortable a huge bed, tea coffee making facilities with an additional Nespresso machine. A digital speaker which allow you to play your personal music. A large tv with premium HD channels; not many English speaking channels though. A fridge and safe. The room was well decorated. The bathroom was modern and a fantastic shower which was recessed in the ceiling. We had a bath robe and slippers. The breakfast was continental style with cheese ham pastries yoghurts fresh fruit, scrambled egg, sausages and bacon etc.The lady worked hard to keep replenishing the products. It was so easy to get to places for e.g. Line 6 20 minutes you're at the Eiffel Tower. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
Excellent hospitality, breakfast, safe location (20 minutes by Metro to the Louvre). Very clean and comfortable room. Staff was very helpful for tourists...24 hour concierge service. We have stayed here twice and would stay and recommend this hotel to everyone without hesitation. Very good value for money.
Booked for bed and breakfast. Its an area I have not normally stayed. Hotel was quiet and clean and the rooms comfortably furnished. So on the positive a good comfortabke stay. The negative is thst breakfast was due to start at 6:30 and wasnt ready when I arrived. So how good the breakfast is ..is unknown as I needed to get early train.
Close to two metro stations which made it easy to get around. The room was big enough but, as with far too many hotels, the lighting in the room was poor. The blackout curtains were great and needed as our window was right beside the brightly lit Mercure sign. The double glazing kept out the noise from the traffic and the market which was right outside one morning. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
I stayed here for three nights over a long weekend. Hotel is two minutes walk from two Metro stations and there are restaurants and cafes nearby and a shopping centre at Place d'Italie. I wanted somewhere decent value not too far from the city centre but with good standards and it seemed to fit the bill after reading reviews. Rooms are modern and newly decorated. Decent storage, comfy bed with good bedding and pillows, air conditioning, fridge and satellite TV. Lifts to all rooms and to the basement breakfast room. Room was very quiet. My room had the most enormous padded backdrop of models behind the bed. Very unusual and striking. Bathroom was good although water pressure in the walk in shower a little weak. Built in powerful hairdryer. Lovely soft towels. Breakfast buffet style with good French breads and croissants, cereal, toast, fruits and yoghurts plus eggs and sausage, juices and coffee. Public area is limited to a small reception seating area and bar. Nicely decorated and functional. Didn't need to use them though.
checked in overnight for our bus tour the following day.location is great-near the mall, restaurants, transportation.Near KFC.McDonalds and Asian restaurants.Room is clean, bed is comfortable.Front desk at that time not so helpful and did not give much info when asked.Did not see any flyers or leaflets about tours, places to see.I got it from another hotel
Very convenient location close to the metro. Also 1/2 block away from a mall with a supermarket on lower level. Plenty of restaurants in the area. There is also a movie theater close by (films in French). There is a botanical gardens, several museums and a zoo about 15 mins walking distance away. There is a farmers market selling anything from clothes to fish on the weekend directly in front of the hotel. The hall/reception area is small, but beautiful. Very fashion forward. The rooms are small, but comfortable. The lay out is different depending on what room you get. I believe the rooms with the odd numbers give you a view of the streets, otherwise you are looking at other buildings. Some rooms come with a mini fridge and some do not. Each floor has a different color scheme. There is only one elevator, so we frequently used the stairs, a winding staircase. It looks like they may have purchased the building next door with plans to expand. They offer a breakfast, kids under 12 eat free with paid adult meal. I did not try it myself, but heard it was just ok. Staff was very helpful with tips on places to eat and how to travel to different locations. Very friendly. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.
We spent a long weekend City Break (train and hotel) booked hastily through Lastminute.com. The Hotel Mercure Place d'Italie was a comfortable hotel and on the whole our stay was pleasant. Lastminute.com described it as a hotel "in the heart of Paris" with "rooms with views over the Pantheon and Eiffel Tower" but they are incorrect, obviously confusing it with Hotel Mercure Paris Tour Eiffel. The Place d'Italie is 8 Metro stations from Notre Dame and 11 stations from the Eiffel Tower. Our reception was very warm and friendly, the room overlooked the busy street. Market stalls appear overnight on the pavement outside (it was a fish market on Sunday morning!) but the double (triple?) glazing cut out most of the nocturnal noise so it didn't bother us. There is a kettle with hot drinks available, but oh, what a nasty surprise, one of the two paper cups, on lifting the lid, contained a drink which must have been there for at least a week. There was a huge head of mould on the top which smelled horrible. I took the evidence down to reception. To their credit the manager was suitably horrified and embarrassed, offered to change the room - which we declined, having settled in - and offered us free drinks at the bar - which we never had time to take up - but never mind, when we came to check out we were not charged for our two breakfasts. The breakfasts were delicious. The hotel does not have a restaurant but on advice from the manager we enjoyed a lovely meal a few yards down the road at La Butte aux Piafs which is a reasonably priced, typically French cafe restaurant. One other problem we had: on returning to the hotel for our second night the magnetic keys to our room wouldn't work. After spending 5 minutes fumbling with both keys we took them down to reception where they were reset. So mixed feelings about this place.
